These are the journeys of the children
of
Israel,
when they went
forth
out of the land of Egypt by their hosts
under the hand
of Moses and Aaron.
These are the journeys of the Israelites
when they came
out of the land of Egypt by their divisions
under the leadership
of Moses and Aaron.
And
Moses wrote
their
goings
out
according
to
their
journeys
by
the commandment
of Jehovah:
and
these are their
journeys
according
to
their goings
out.
At
the
LORD’s
command,
Moses recorded
the stages
of their
journey.
These are the
stages
listed
by
their starting
points:
And
they
journeyed
from
Rameses
in
the
first
month,
on the fifteenth day of the first month ;
on the morrow
after the passover the children
of
Israel
went
out with
a
high
hand
in the
sight
of all the Egyptians,
On the fifteenth day of the first month ,
on the day
after the Passover ,
the Israelites
set
out from
Rameses.
They
marched
out
defiantly
in full
view
of all the Egyptians,
while
the
Egyptians
were burying all their first-born
, whom Jehovah
had smitten
among them :
upon
their gods also
Jehovah
executed
judgments
.
who
were burying all their firstborn
, whom the
LORD
had struck
down
among them ;
for
the
LORD
had
executed
judgment
against
their gods.
And
the children
of
Israel
journeyed
from Rameses ,
and encamped
in
Succoth.
The Israelites
set
out
from Rameses and camped
at
Succoth.
And
they journeyed
from Succoth ,
and encamped
in
Etham, which
is
in
the edge of the wilderness.
They set
out
from Succoth and camped
at
Etham, on
the edge of the wilderness.
And
they journeyed
from Etham ,
and turned back unto
Pihahiroth
, which
is
before
Baal-zephon :
and they encamped
before
Migdol.
They set
out
from Etham and turned back to
Pi-hahiroth
, opposite
Baal-zephon ,
and they camped
near
Migdol.
And
they journeyed
from before
Hahiroth ,
and passed
through the midst
of
the
sea into the wilderness :
and they went
three days '
journey
in
the wilderness of Etham ,
and encamped
in
Marah.
They set
out
from Pi-
hahiroth and crossed
through the sea ,
into the wilderness ,
and they journeyed
three days into
the Wilderness of Etham and camped
at
Marah.
And
they journeyed
from Marah ,
and came unto
Elim:
and
in
Elim were twelve springs of
water,
and threescore
and
ten
palm -
trees ;
and they encamped
there.
They set
out
from Marah and came to

where
there

Aaron the priest went
up
into
mount Hor at
the
commandment
of
Jehovah,
and died there, in the fortieth year after the children
of
Israel
were
come out of the land of Egypt ,
in
the
fifth
month,
on
the
first
day
of
the
month
.
At
the
LORD’s
command,
Aaron the priest climbed
Mount Hor and died there on
the
first
day
of
the
fifth
month
, in the fortieth year after the Israelites
had
come out of the land of Egypt.
And
Aaron was a
hundred
and
twenty
and
three
years old when he died in
mount Hor.
Aaron was 123
years old when he died on
Mount Hor.
And
the Canaanite ,
the
king of Arad, who dwelt
in the South
in the land of Canaan, heard of
the coming of
the
children
of
Israel
.
Now
the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived
in the Negev
in the land of Canaan, heard that
the Israelites
were
coming.
And they
journeyed
from mount Hor ,
and encamped
in
Zalmonah.
And the
Israelites
set
out
from Mount Hor and camped
at
Zalmonah.
And
they journeyed

unto

.
And there

the

they camped

And
Jehovah
spake
unto
Moses
in
the plains of Moab by the Jordan at
Jericho, saying
,
On
the plains of Moab by the Jordan across
from
Jericho, the
LORD
said
to
Moses
,
Speak unto
the children
of
Israel,
and say
unto
them ,
When ye
pass
over
the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
“
Speak to
the Israelites
and tell
them :
When you
cross
the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
then
ye
shall
drive out all the inhabitants of the land from
before
you
, and
destroy all their figured
`stones',
and
destroy
all
their
molten
images, and demolish all their high places :
you
must
drive out before
you
all the inhabitants of the land, destroy all their carved
images and
cast
idols
, and demolish all their high places .
and
ye
shall
take possession of the land ,
and dwell
therein;
for unto
you
have
I given the land to possess it
.
You
are
to
take possession of the land and settle
in
it,
for I have
given you
the land to possess.
And ye
shall
inherit
the land by lot according to your families;
to
the
more
ye
shall
give the
more
inheritance ,
and
to the
fewer
thou
shalt
give
the
less
inheritance :
wheresoever
the
lot
falleth
to any
man,
that
shall
be his ;
according to the tribes of your fathers shall
ye
inherit
.
And you
are
to
divide
the land by lot according to your clans.
Give a
larger
inheritance to a
larger
clan
and
a
smaller
inheritance to a
smaller
one.
Whatever
falls
to
each
one
by
lot
will
be his .
You
will
receive
an
inheritance
according to the tribes of your fathers.
But if ye
will
not drive out the inhabitants of the land from
before you, then
shall
those that
ye
let
remain of
them
be
as
pricks
in your eyes ,
and as
thorns in your sides ,
and
they shall
vex
you in the land wherein
ye
dwell
.
But if you
do
not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you
allow
to
remain will
become
barbs
in your eyes and thorns in your sides ;
they will
harass
you in the land where
you
settle
.
And it
shall
come
to pass,
that,
as
I thought
to do unto
them ,
so
will
I
do
unto
you
.
And then
I
will
do
to you
what
I had
planned
to do to
them. ”
