These are the journeys of the children
of
Israel,
which
went
forth
out of the land of Egypt with
their armies
under the hand
of Moses and Aaron.
These are the journeys of the Israelites
when
they
came
out of the land of Egypt by
their divisions
under the leadership
of Moses and Aaron.
And
Moses wrote
their
goings
out
according
to
their
journeys
by
the commandment
of the
LORD:
and
these are their
journeys
according
to
their goings
out.
At
the
LORD’s
command,
Moses recorded
the stages
of their
journey.
These are the
stages
listed
by
their starting
points:
And
they
departed
from
Rameses
in
the
first
month,
on the fifteenth day of the first month ;
on the morrow
after the passover the children
of
Israel
went
out with
an
high
hand
in the
sight
of all the Egyptians .
On the fifteenth day of the first month ,
on the day
after the Passover ,
the Israelites
set
out from
Rameses.
They
marched
out
defiantly
in full
view
of all the Egyptians ,
For
the
Egyptians
buried
all their firstborn, which
the LORD had smitten
among them :
upon
their
gods
also
the LORD executed judgments
.
who
were
burying
all their firstborn, whom
the LORD had struck
down
among them ;
for
the LORD had
executed judgment
against
their
gods
.
And
the children
of
Israel
removed
from Rameses ,
and pitched
in
Succoth.
The Israelites
set
out
from Rameses and camped
at
Succoth.
And
they departed
from Succoth ,
and pitched
in
Etham, which
is
in
the edge of the wilderness.
They set
out
from Succoth and camped
at
Etham, on
the edge of the wilderness.
And
they removed
from Etham ,
and turned again
unto
Pihahiroth
, which
is
before
Baalzephon:
and they pitched
before
Migdol.
They set
out
from Etham and turned back
to
Pi-hahiroth
, opposite
Baal-zephon,
and they camped
near
Migdol.
And
they departed
from before
Pihahiroth,
and passed
through the midst
of
the
sea into the wilderness, and went
three days '
journey
in
the wilderness of Etham ,
and pitched
in
Marah.
They set
out
from Pi-hahiroth
and crossed
through the sea ,
into the wilderness, and they
journeyed
three days into
the Wilderness of Etham and camped
at
Marah.
And
they removed
from Marah ,
and came unto
Elim:
and
in
Elim were twelve fountains
of
water,
and
threescore
and ten
palm trees ;
and they pitched
there.
They set
out
from Marah and came to
Elim ,
where
there
were twelve springs
and seventy
palm trees ,
and they camped
there.
And
they removed
from Elim ,
and encamped
by the Red sea.
They set
out
from Elim and camped
by the Red Sea.
And
they removed
from the Red sea ,
and encamped
in the wilderness
of Sin.
They set
out
from the Red Sea and camped
in the Desert
of Sin.
And
they took
their
journey
out of
the wilderness
of Sin ,
and encamped
in
Dophkah.
They set
out from
the Desert
of Sin and camped

Dophkah.
And
they departed
from Dophkah ,
and encamped
in
Alush.
They set
out
from Dophkah and camped

Alush.
And
they removed
from Alush ,
and encamped
at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
They set

.
And
they departed
from Ebronah,

at Eziongaber

And

in the wilderness of Zin ,
which
is
Kadesh
.
They set
out
from Ezion-geber

in the Wilderness of Zin.
And

mount Hor, in
the edge
of the land of Edom.
They set
out
from Kadesh and camped
at
Mount Hor, on
the outskirts
of the land of Edom.
And
Aaron the priest went
up
into
mount Hor at
the
commandment
of
the
LORD,
and died there, in the fortieth year after the children
of
Israel
were
come out of the land of Egypt ,
in
the
first
day
of
the
fifth
month
.
At
the
LORD’s
command,
Aaron the priest climbed
Mount Hor and died there on
the
first
day
of
the
fifth
month
, in the fortieth year after the Israelites
had
come out of the land of Egypt.
And
Aaron was an
hundred
and
twenty
and
three
years old when he died in
mount Hor.
Aaron was 123
years old when he died on
Mount Hor.
And
king
Arad
the Canaanite, which
dwelt
in the south
in the land of Canaan, heard of
the coming of
the
children
of
Israel
.
Now
the Canaanite king
of
Arad
, who
lived
in the Negev
in the land of Canaan, heard that
the Israelites
were
coming.
And they
departed
from mount Hor ,
and pitched
in
Zalmonah.
And the
Israelites
set
out
from Mount Hor and camped
at
Zalmonah.
And
they departed
from Zalmonah ,
and pitched
in
Punon.
They set
out
from Zalmonah and camped

in the mountains of Abarim ,

Nebo.
They set
out
from Almon-diblathaim

in the mountains of Abarim facing
Nebo.
And
they departed
from the mountains of Abarim ,
and pitched
in
the plains of Moab by Jordan near
Jericho.
They set
out
from the mountains of Abarim and camped
on
the plains of Moab by the
Jordan across
from
Jericho.
And they pitched
by Jordan, from Bethjesimoth
even
unto
Abelshittim
in
the
plains
of
Moab
.
And there
on
the
plains
of
Moab
they camped
by the
Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth
to
Abel-shittim
.
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses
in
the plains of Moab by Jordan near
Jericho, saying
,
On
the plains of Moab by the
Jordan across
from
Jericho, the
LORD
said
to
Moses
,
Speak unto
the children
of
Israel,
and say
unto
them ,
When ye
are
passed
over
Jordan into the land of Canaan ;
“
Speak to
the Israelites
and tell
them :
When you
cross
the
Jordan into the land of Canaan ,
Then
ye
shall
drive out all the inhabitants of the land from
before
you
, and
destroy all their pictures,
and
destroy
all
their
molten
images, and quite
pluck
down
all their high places :
you
must
drive out before
you
all the inhabitants of the land, destroy all their carved
images and
cast
idols
, and demolish
all their high places .
And
ye
shall
dispossess
the
inhabitants
of the land ,
and dwell
therein:
for I have given you the land to possess it
.
You
are
to
take
possession
of the land and settle
in
it,
for I have given you the land to possess.
And ye
shall
divide the land by lot for
an
inheritance
among
your
families:
and
to the
more
ye
shall
give the
more
inheritance ,
and
to the
fewer
ye
shall
give
the
less
inheritance:
every
man's
inheritance shall
be in
the
place
where
his lot
falleth;
according to the tribes of your fathers ye
shall
inherit
.
And you
are
to
divide the land by lot according
to your
clans.
Give a
larger
inheritance to a
larger
clan
and
a
smaller
inheritance to
a
smaller
one.
Whatever
falls
to
each
one
by
lot
will
be his .
You
will
receive
an
inheritance
according to the tribes of your fathers.
But if ye
will
not drive out the inhabitants of the land from
before you ;
then
it
shall
come
to
pass
, that
those which
ye
let
remain of
them
shall
be
pricks
in your eyes ,
and thorns in your sides ,
and
shall
vex
you in the land wherein
ye
dwell
.
But if you
do
not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you
allow
to
remain will
become
barbs
in your eyes and thorns in your sides ;
they
will
harass
you in the land where
you
settle
.
Moreover
it
shall
come
to
pass,
that
I shall
do unto
you ,
as
I thought
to do unto
them.
And
then
I will
do to
you what
I had
planned
to do to
them. ”
