First of all, then,
I
urge
that petitions
, prayers, intercessions, and
thanksgiving
be offered
for everyone—
I
exhort
therefore,
first of all, that supplications
, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings,
be made
for all
men;
for kings and all those
in authority—so
that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives
in all godliness and dignity
.

are
in high
place;
that we may lead a
tranquil and quiet life
in all godliness and gravity
.
This is good and pleasing
in the sight of God our Savior,
This is good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Saviour;
who wants
everyone
to be saved and to
come to the knowledge of the truth.
who would
have
all
men
to be saved ,
and come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and
there
is
one mediator between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus,
For there is one God, one mediator also
between God and men, `himself'
man ,
Christ Jesus,
who gave Himself as
a ransom for all —
the testimony that
was
given
at
just
the
right
time.
who gave himself a ransom for all ;
the testimony `to
be
borne'
in
its
own
times;
For
this
reason
I was appointed as
a preacher ,
an apostle, and
a faithful
and
true
teacher of the Gentiles .
I
am
telling
the
truth ;
I
am
not
lying
about
anything
.

I was appointed a preacher and
an apostle (I
speak

truth

lie
not),
a teacher of the Gentiles in
faith
and
truth.
Therefore
I want
the men everywhere
to
pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger
or
dissension
.
I desire
therefore
that
the men pray in
every
place
, lifting up holy hands, without wrath
and
disputing
.
Likewise
, I
want
the
women to
adorn themselves with
respectable
apparel, with modesty,
and with
self-control,
not with braided hair or
gold or pearls or expensive
clothes,
In
like
manner
, that
women adorn themselves in
modest
apparel, with shamefastness
and sobriety;
not with braided hair ,
and
gold or pearls or costly
raiment;
but with
good
deeds,
as
is
proper
for
women who
profess
to
worship
God
.
but (which
becometh
women professing
godliness)
through
good
works
.
A woman must
learn in quietness and
full
submissiveness
.
Let
a woman learn in quietness with
all
subjection
.
I do
not
permit a woman to teach or
to exercise
authority
over a man ;
she
is
to remain
quiet
.
But
I permit not
a woman to teach ,
nor
to have
dominion
over a man ,
but
to be
in
quietness
.
For Adam was formed
first, and
then Eve .
For Adam was first formed
, then Eve ;
And it
was
not
Adam who
was deceived
, but the woman who
was
deceived
and
fell
into transgression .
and Adam was not
beguiled
, but the woman being
beguiled
hath
fallen
into transgression :
Women,
however,
will
be saved through childbearing
, if they continue in faith ,
love ,
and holiness,
with self-control
.
but
she
shall
be saved through her
child-bearing
, if they continue in faith and
love and sanctification
with sobriety
.
