For
the
choirmaster.
A
Psalm
of
David.
A
song.
Praise awaits
You
, O God, in Zion; to
You
our
vows
will
be fulfilled
.
Praise waiteth
for
thee
, O God, in Zion; And
unto
thee
shall
the
vow
be performed
.
O You
who
listen
to
prayer, all people
will
come to
You
.
O thou
that
hearest
prayer, Unto
thee
shall
all flesh
come.
When
iniquities prevail against me ,
You
atone
for our transgressions.
Iniquities prevail against me :
As
for our transgressions ,
thou
wilt
forgive
them
.
Blessed is the one
You
choose
and bring
near
to dwell in Your
courts !
We are
filled
with the goodness of Your
house, the
holiness
of
Your
temple.
Blessed is the man
whom
thou
choosest,
and causest
to approach
`unto
thee',
That
he
may
dwell in thy
courts :
We shall
be
satisfied
with the goodness of thy
house, Thy
holy
temple.
With
awesome
deeds
of
righteousness
You
answer us, O
God of our salvation, the hope
of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest
seas.
By
terrible
things
thou
wilt
answer us in
righteousness
, Oh
God of our salvation, Thou
that
art
the confidence
of all the ends of the earth ,
And of them
that
are
afar
off
upon
the sea:
You
formed
the mountains by
Your
power
, having
girded Yourself
with might .
Who
by
his
strength
setteth
fast
the mountains, Being
girded about
with might ;
You
stilled
the roaring of the seas, the pounding
of their waves, and the tumult of the nations
.
Who
stilleth
the roaring of the seas, The roaring
of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples
.
Those
who
live
far
away
fear
Your
wonders;
You
make
the dawn
and sunset
shout
for
joy
.
They
also
that
dwell
in
the uttermost
parts
are
afraid
at
thy
tokens:
Thou
makest
the
outgoings
of
the
morning
and evening
to
rejoice
.
You
attend
to
the earth and water
it ;
with
abundance
You
enrich
it .
The streams
of God are
full of water ,
for
You
prepare
our
grain by
providing
for
the earth.
Thou
visitest
the earth ,
and waterest
it ,
Thou
greatly
enrichest
it ;
The river
of God is
full of water :
Thou
providest
them
grain ,
when
thou
hast
so
prepared
the earth.
You
soak
its furrows and
level
its
ridges
; You
soften
it with showers and
bless
its
growth
.
Thou
waterest
its furrows abundantly
; Thou
settlest
the
ridges
thereof:
Thou
makest
it soft
with showers ;
Thou
blessest
the
springing
thereof
.
You
crown
the year with Your
bounty,
and Your
paths overflow
with
plenty
.
Thou
crownest
the year with thy
goodness;
And thy
paths drop
fatness
.
The pastures of the wilderness overflow
; the hills are robed
with joy.
They
drop
upon
the pastures of the wilderness; And
the hills are girded
with joy.
The pastures are clothed with flocks ,
and
the valleys are decked
with grain .
They shout in
triumph;
indeed
, they sing.
The pastures are clothed with flocks ;
The valleys also
are covered
over
with grain ;
They shout for
joy
, they also
sing. Psalm
66
For
the
Chief
Musician.
A
song,
a
Psalm.
