YLT
Young's Literal Translation
A Psalm of
David. I call
upon
You
, O
LORD;
come
quickly
to me .
Hear
my voice when I call to You
.
A Psalm ,
by
David. O
Jehovah,
I have
called
Thee
, haste
to me ,
Give
ear
`to'
my voice when I call to Thee
.
May
my prayer be
set
before
You
like
incense, my uplifted
hands like
the evening offering
.
My prayer is
prepared
--
incense before
Thee
, The
lifting
up
of
my hands --
the evening present
.
Set a
guard
, O LORD
, over
my mouth ;
keep
watch at
the door of my lips.
Set, O Jehovah
, a
watch
for
my mouth ,
Watch Thou
over
the door of my lips.
Do
not let
my heart be
drawn
to any
evil thing or
take
part
in works
of
wickedness with men who
do
iniquity ;
let
me
not feast
on
their delicacies
.
Incline
not my heart to an
evil thing ,
To
do
habitually
actions
in wickedness ,
With men working
iniquity ,
Yea,
I
eat
not of
their pleasant
things
.
Let
the righteous man
strike
me ;
let
his
rebuke
be
an
act
of
loving
devotion
. It
is
oil for
my head ;
let
me
not refuse
it.
For my prayer is ever
against
the
deeds
of
the
wicked
.
The righteous doth
beat
me `in'
kindness
. And
doth
reprove
me,
Oil of
the
head
my head disalloweth
not ,
For still
my prayer `
is '
about
their
vexations
.
When
their rulers
are
thrown
down
from
the cliffs
, the
people
will
listen
to
my words
, for they are
pleasant.
Their judges
have
been
released
by
the sides
of
a
rock
, And
they
have
heard
my sayings
, For they have
been
pleasant.
As when
one plows
and breaks
up the soil
, so
our bones have
been scattered at the mouth
of Sheol
.
As one tilling
and ripping
up in
the land
, Have
our bones been scattered at the command
of Saul
.
But my
eyes
are
fixed
on
You
, O GOD
the
Lord .
In You
I seek
refuge;
do
not leave
my soul defenseless
.
But to
Thee
, O Jehovah,
my
Lord ,
`are'
mine
eyes,
In Thee
I have
trusted,
Make
not bare
my soul.
Keep me from the snares
they have
laid for me, and
from
the
lures
of evildoers
.
Keep me from the gin
they laid for me, Even
snares
of workers
of
iniquity
.
Let
the wicked fall into
their own
nets, while
I pass by
in
safety.
The wicked fall in
their nets together
, till
I pass over!
