O
give thanks unto
the LORD ;
call upon his name :
make known his deeds among the people
.
Give thanks to
the LORD ,
call upon His name ;
make known His deeds among the nations
.
Sing unto
him, sing psalms
unto
him :
talk
ye
of all his wondrous
works
.
Sing to
Him, sing praises
to
Him ;
tell
of all His wonders
.
Glory ye
in his holy name :
let the heart
of them
rejoice
that
seek the LORD.
Glory in His holy name ;
let the hearts
of those
who
seek the LORD rejoice
.
Seek the LORD ,
and his strength :
seek his face evermore
.
Seek out
the LORD and His strength ;
seek His face always
.
Remember his
marvellous
works
that
he hath
done ;
his wonders
, and the judgments of
his
mouth;
Remember the
wonders
He has
done ,
His marvels
, and the judgments He
has
pronounced,
O ye
seed
of Abraham
his servant, ye
children
of Jacob his chosen.
O offspring
of His servant Abraham
, O
sons
of Jacob ,
His chosen ones
.
He is the LORD our God :
his judgments are
in
all
the earth.
He is the LORD our God ;
His judgments carry
throughout
the earth.
He hath
remembered
his covenant for
ever
, the word which
he commanded
to
a thousand generations .
He remembers
His covenant forever
, the word He ordained
for
a thousand generations —
Which
covenant he made with Abraham, and his
oath unto
Isaac ;
the
covenant He made with Abraham, and the
oath He
swore
to
Isaac .
And
confirmed the
same
unto
Jacob for
a law
, and
to Israel for
an everlasting covenant:
He
confirmed it
to
Jacob as
a decree
, to Israel as
an everlasting covenant:
Saying,
Unto
thee
will
I give the land of Canaan ,
the lot
of your inheritance :
“
I will
give you
the land of Canaan as
the portion
of your inheritance .”
When they were but
a
few men
in number ;
yea
, very
few, and strangers in it.
When they were few in number, few indeed
, and strangers in the
land,
When
they went
from one
nation to another
, from one kingdom to another people;
they wandered
from nation to nation
, from one kingdom to another .
He suffered
no man to
do
them wrong:
yea,
he reproved
kings for
their sakes;
He let
no man oppress
them ;
He rebuked
kings on
their behalf:
Saying,
Touch
not mine
anointed ,
and
do my
prophets
no harm .
“Do
not touch
My
anointed ones!
Do no harm to
My
prophets!”
Moreover
he called for
a
famine upon
the land :
he
brake
the
whole
staff
of bread
.
He called down
famine on
the land and
cut
off
all
their
supplies
of food
.
He sent a man before them ,
even
Joseph, who
was
sold for
a servant:
He sent a man before them —
Joseph, sold as
a slave.
Whose
feet
they hurt
with fetters:
he
was
laid
in iron:
They bruised
his
feet
with shackles
and
placed
his
neck
in irons,
Until the
time
that
his word
came :
the word of the LORD tried
him.
until his prediction
came true
and
the word of the LORD proved
him right
.
The king sent and loosed
him; even
the ruler of the
people,
and
let
him go
free.
The king sent and released
him; the ruler of peoples
set
him free.
He made him lord
of his house
, and
ruler of
all his substance :
He made him master
of his household
, ruler over
all his substance ,
To bind
his princes at
his
pleasure;
and teach his senators
wisdom.
to instruct
his princes as
he
pleased
and teach his elders
wisdom.
Israel also
came
into
Egypt; and
Jacob sojourned
in the land of Ham.
Then
Israel entered
Egypt; Jacob dwelt
in the land of Ham.
And he
increased
his people greatly;
and
made
them
stronger
than their enemies.
And the
LORD
made
His people very
fruitful,
more
numerous
than their foes,
He turned their
heart
to hate his people, to deal
subtilly
with
his servants.
whose
hearts
He turned to hate His people, to conspire
against
His servants.
He sent Moses his servant ;
and Aaron whom he had chosen.
He sent Moses His servant ,
and Aaron ,
whom He had chosen.
They shewed
his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
They performed
His miraculous
signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
He sent darkness, and made
it dark ;
and
they rebelled
not
against
his word
.
He sent darkness, and it became
dark —
yet
they defied
His words
.
He turned their waters into
blood ,
and slew
their fish.
He turned their waters to
blood and caused
their fish to
die
.
Their land brought
forth
frogs in
abundance
, in the
chambers
of
their kings
.
Their land teemed
with
frogs, even
in their royal
chambers
.
He spake,
and
there
came
divers
sorts
of
flies
, and lice
in
all
their coasts
.
He spoke
, and insects
swarmed—
gnats
throughout
their country
.
He gave them hail for rain, and
flaming
fire
in
their land.
He gave them hail for rain, with
lightning
throughout
their land.
He smote
their vines also
and their
fig trees ;
and brake
the trees of their coasts
.
He struck
their vines and fig trees and shattered
the trees of their country
.
He spake
, and the locusts came ,
and
caterpillers,
and
that
without number ,
He spoke
, and the locusts came —
young
locusts
without number .
And
did
eat
up
all
the
herbs
in their land ,
and devoured
the fruit
of their ground
.
They
devoured
every
plant
in their land and consumed
the produce
of their soil
.
He smote
also
all the firstborn in their land, the chief
of all their strength
.
Then
He struck
all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits
of all their vigor
.
He brought them
forth
also
with silver and gold :
and there
was
not
one
feeble
person
among their
tribes.
He brought Israel
out
with silver and gold ,
and none
among His
tribes stumbled
.
Egypt was glad when they departed :
for the fear
of them
fell
upon
them.
Egypt was glad when they departed ,
for the dread
of Israel
had
fallen
on
them.
He spread a cloud for
a covering ;
and fire to give
light in
the night.
He spread a cloud as
a covering and a
fire to light up
the night.
The
people
asked, and he brought quails,
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
They
asked, and He brought quail
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
He opened the
rock, and the
waters
gushed out; they
ran
in
the
dry
places
like a river.
He opened a
rock, and water
gushed out; it
flowed
like a river in
the
desert
.
For he remembered his holy promise ,
and
Abraham his servant.
For He remembered His holy promise to
Abraham His servant.
And
he brought forth his people with joy
, and
his chosen with gladness:
He brought forth His people with rejoicing
, His chosen with shouts
of
joy.
And
gave them the lands of the heathen:
and
they inherited
the labour
of the
people;
He
gave them the lands of the nations,
that
they might
inherit
the fruit
of others’
labor,
That they might observe
his statutes ,
and keep
his laws. Praise
ye
the
LORD.
that they might keep
His statutes and obey
His laws. Hallelujah!
