King James Version
Give thanks to
the LORD ,
call upon His name ;
make known His deeds among the nations
.
O
give thanks unto
the LORD ;
call upon his name :
make known his deeds among the people
.
Sing to
Him, sing praises
to
Him ;
tell
of all His wonders
.
Sing unto
him, sing psalms
unto
him :
talk
ye
of all his wondrous
works
.
Glory in His holy name ;
let the hearts
of those
who
seek the LORD rejoice
.
Glory ye
in his holy name :
let the heart
of them
rejoice
that
seek the LORD.
Seek out
the LORD and His strength ;
seek His face always
.
Seek the LORD ,
and his strength :
seek his face evermore
.
Remember the
wonders
He has
done ,
His marvels
, and the judgments He
has
pronounced,
Remember his
marvellous
works
that
he hath
done ;
his wonders
, and the judgments of
his
mouth;
O offspring
of His servant Abraham
, O
sons
of Jacob ,
His chosen ones
.
O ye
seed
of Abraham
his servant, ye
children
of Jacob his chosen.
He is the LORD our God ;
His judgments carry
throughout
the earth.
He is the LORD our God :
his judgments are
in
all
the earth.
He remembers
His covenant forever
, the word He ordained
for
a thousand generations —
He hath
remembered
his covenant for
ever
, the word which
he commanded
to
a thousand generations .
the
covenant He made with Abraham, and the
oath He
swore
to
Isaac .
Which
covenant he made with Abraham, and his
oath unto
Isaac ;
He
confirmed it
to
Jacob as
a decree
, to Israel as
an everlasting covenant:
And
confirmed the
same
unto
Jacob for
a law
, and
to Israel for
an everlasting covenant:
“I
will give you
the land of Canaan as
the portion
of your inheritance .”
Saying,
Unto
thee
will I
give the land of Canaan ,
the lot
of your inheritance :
When they were few in number, few indeed
, and strangers in the
land,
When they were but
a
few men
in number ;
yea
, very
few, and strangers in it.
they wandered
from nation to nation
, from one kingdom to another .
When
they went
from one
nation to another
, from one kingdom to another people;
He let
no man oppress
them ;
He rebuked
kings on
their behalf:
He suffered
no man to
do
them wrong:
yea,
he reproved
kings for
their sakes;
“Do
not
touch My
anointed ones!
Do no
harm
to
My prophets !”
Saying,
Touch not
mine
anointed ,
and
do my prophets no
harm.
He called down
famine on
the land and
cut
off
all
their
supplies
of food
.
Moreover
he called for
a
famine upon
the land :
he
brake
the
whole
staff
of bread
.
He sent a man before them —
Joseph, sold as
a slave.
He sent a man before them ,
even
Joseph, who
was
sold for
a servant:
They
bruised
his
feet with shackles
and
placed
his
neck
in irons,
Whose
feet they
hurt
with fetters:
he
was
laid
in iron:
until his prediction
came true
and
the word of the LORD proved
him right
.
Until the
time
that
his word
came :
the word of the LORD tried
him.
The king sent and released
him; the ruler of peoples
set
him free.
The king sent and loosed
him; even
the ruler of the
people,
and
let
him go
free.
He made him master
of his household
, ruler over
all his substance ,
He made him lord
of his house
, and
ruler of
all his substance :
to instruct
his princes as
he
pleased
and teach his elders
wisdom.
To bind
his princes at
his
pleasure;
and teach his senators
wisdom.
Then
Israel entered
Egypt; Jacob dwelt
in the land of Ham.
Israel also
came
into
Egypt; and
Jacob sojourned
in the land of Ham.
And the
LORD
made
His people very
fruitful,
more
numerous
than their foes,
And he
increased
his people greatly;
and
made
them
stronger
than their enemies.
whose
hearts
He turned to hate His people, to conspire
against
His servants.
He turned their
heart
to hate his people, to deal
subtilly
with
his servants.
He sent Moses His servant ,
and Aaron ,
whom He had chosen.
He sent Moses his servant ;
and Aaron whom he had chosen.
They performed
His miraculous
signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
They shewed
his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
He sent darkness, and it became
dark —
yet
they defied
His words
.
He sent darkness, and made
it dark ;
and
they rebelled
not
against
his word
.
He turned their waters to
blood and caused
their fish to
die
.
He turned their waters into
blood ,
and slew
their fish.
Their land teemed
with
frogs, even
in their
royal
chambers.
Their land brought
forth
frogs in
abundance
, in the
chambers of
their
kings
.
He spoke
, and insects
swarmed—
gnats
throughout
their country
.
He spake
, and there
came
divers
sorts
of
flies,
and
lice
in
all
their coasts
.
He gave them hail for rain, with
lightning
throughout
their land.
He gave them hail for rain, and
flaming
fire
in
their land.
He struck
their vines and fig trees and shattered
the trees of their country
.
He smote
their vines also
and their
fig trees ;
and brake
the trees of their coasts
.
He spoke
, and the locusts came —
young
locusts
without number .
He spake
, and the locusts came ,
and
caterpillers,
and
that
without number ,
They
devoured
every
plant
in their land and consumed
the produce
of their soil
.
And
did
eat
up
all
the
herbs
in their land ,
and devoured
the fruit
of their ground
.
Then
He struck
all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits
of all their vigor
.
He smote
also
all the firstborn in their land, the chief
of all their strength
.
He brought Israel
out
with silver and gold ,
and none
among His
tribes stumbled
.
He brought them
forth
also
with silver and gold :
and there
was
not
one
feeble
person
among their
tribes.
Egypt was glad when they departed ,
for the dread
of Israel
had
fallen
on
them.
Egypt was glad when they departed :
for the fear
of them fell
upon
them
.
He spread a cloud as
a covering and a
fire to light up
the night.
He spread a cloud for
a covering ;
and fire to give
light in
the night.
They
asked, and He brought quail
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
The
people
asked, and he brought quails,
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
He opened a
rock, and water
gushed out; it
flowed
like a river in
the
desert
.
He opened the
rock, and the
waters
gushed out; they
ran
in
the
dry
places
like a river.
For He remembered His holy promise to
Abraham His servant.
For he remembered his holy promise ,
and
Abraham his servant.
He brought forth His people with rejoicing
, His chosen with shouts
of
joy.
And
he brought forth his people with joy
, and
his chosen with gladness:
He
gave them the lands of the nations,
that
they might
inherit
the fruit
of others’
labor,
And
gave them the lands of the heathen:
and
they inherited
the labour
of the
people;
that they might keep
His statutes and obey
His laws. Hallelujah!
That they might observe
his statutes ,
and keep
his laws. Praise
ye
the
LORD.
