David are fourteen generations ;
and from David until
the carrying
away
into
Babylon
are
fourteen generations ;
and from the carrying

Babylon
unto Christ are
fourteen generations.
And
of Jesus Christ ,
the
birth
was thus
: For
his mother Mary having
been
betrothed
to Joseph, before their
coming
together she was found to
have
conceived
from
the Holy Spirit,
Now
the
birth
of Jesus Christ was on
this
wise
: When
as
his mother Mary was
espoused
to Joseph, before they
came
together ,
she was found with
child
of
the Holy Ghost.
and
Joseph her husband being righteous
, and not willing to make her an
example, did
wish
privately
to send
her away.
Then
Joseph her husband ,
being a
just
man
, and not willing to make her a
publick
example, was
minded
to put
her away privily
.
And
on his
thinking
of
these things, lo
, a
messenger
of the Lord in a dream appeared
to
him
, saying, `
Joseph, son of David, thou
mayest
not
fear to receive
Mary thy wife ,
for that which in her was
begotten
`
is '
of the Holy Spirit,
But
while
he
thought
on these things, behold
, the
angel
of the LORD appeared
unto
him
in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou
son of David, fear not
to take
unto
thee
Mary thy wife :
for that which is
conceived
in her is of the Holy Ghost.
and she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus ,
for he shall save his people from their sins. '
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS :

And
all this hath
come
to
pass
, that it may
be fulfilled that
was spoken by
the Lord through
the prophet, saying,
Now
all this was
done
, that it might
be fulfilled which
was spoken of
the Lord by
the prophet, saying,
`Lo
, the
virgin shall conceive
, and she
shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, '
which is,
being interpreted `With
us
`he
is '
God. '
Behold
, a
virgin shall be
with
child
, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is ,
God with
us
.
And
Joseph ,
having
risen
from the
sleep ,
did as the messenger
of the Lord directed
him, and received
his wife ,
Then
Joseph being
raised
from sleep did as the angel
of the Lord had
bidden
him, and took
unto
him
his wife :
and did
not
know
her till she brought forth her son --
the
first-born,
and he called his name Jesus.
And knew
her not
till she had
brought forth her firstborn
son :
and he called his name JESUS.
