And
Job answereth
and
saith
: --
Then
Job answered
:
What
--
thou
hast
helped the powerless ,
Saved an
arm not
strong
!
“How
you
have
helped the powerless and
saved the
arm that
is
feeble
!
What
--
thou
hast
given
counsel
to
the unwise ,
And wise
plans
in
abundance
made
known.
How
you
have
counseled
the unwise and provided
fully
sound
insight!
With
whom hast
thou
declared
words? And whose breath
came
forth
from
thee
?
To
whom have
you
uttered
these
words? And whose spirit
spoke
through
you
?
The Rephaim
are
formed,
Beneath the waters ,
also
their
inhabitants
.
The dead
tremble—
those
beneath the waters and
those
who
dwell
in
them
.
Naked
`is'
Sheol over-against
Him
, And there
is
no covering to
destruction
.
Sheol is
naked
before
God
, and Abaddon
has
no covering.
Stretching
out the north over desolation,
Hanging
the earth upon nothing ,
He
stretches
out the north over empty
space;
He
hangs
the earth upon nothing .
Binding
up the waters in His thick
clouds, And
the cloud
is
not rent
under them
.
He
wraps
up the waters in His clouds, yet
the clouds
do
not burst
under their
own
weight
.
Taking
hold
of
the face of the throne
, Spreading over it His cloud.
He
covers
the face of the full
moon
, spreading over it His cloud.
A
limit
He hath
placed
on the waters ,
Unto
the boundary of
light with
darkness.
He has
inscribed
a
horizon
on the face
of
the
waters at
the boundary between
light and
darkness.
Pillars
of
the heavens
do
tremble,
And
they
wonder
because
of His rebuke.
The foundations
of heaven
quake,
astounded
at
His rebuke.
By His power He hath
quieted
the sea ,
And
by His understanding smitten
the
proud
.
By His power He stirred
the sea ;
by His understanding He
shattered
Rahab
.
By His Spirit
the heavens
He
beautified,
Formed
hath
His hand the fleeing serpent.
By His breath
the skies
were
cleared;
His hand pierced
the fleeing serpent.
Lo
, these `
are '
the borders
of His way,
And
how little
a
matter
is heard
of Him ,
And
the thunder of His might
Who
doth
understand
?
Indeed
, these are but
the fringes
of His ways;
how faint
is the
whisper
we
hear
of Him !
Who
then
can
understand
the thunder of His power
? ”
