YLT
Young's Literal Translation
Then
Job answered
:
And
Job answereth
and
saith
: --
“How
you
have
helped the powerless and
saved the
arm that
is
feeble
!
What
--
thou
hast
helped the powerless ,
Saved an
arm not
strong
!
How
you
have
counseled
the unwise and provided
fully
sound
insight!
What
--
thou
hast
given
counsel
to
the unwise ,
And wise
plans
in
abundance
made
known.
To
whom have
you
uttered
these
words? And whose spirit
spoke
through
you
?
With
whom hast
thou
declared
words? And whose breath
came
forth
from
thee
?
The dead
tremble—
those
beneath the waters and
those
who
dwell
in
them
.
The Rephaim
are
formed,
Beneath the waters ,
also
their
inhabitants
.
Sheol
is
naked before
God
, and Abaddon
has
no covering.
Naked `is'
Sheol
over-against
Him
, And there
is
no covering to
destruction
.
He
stretches
out the north over empty
space;
He
hangs
the earth upon nothing .
Stretching
out the north over desolation,
Hanging
the earth upon nothing ,
He
wraps
up the waters in His clouds, yet
the clouds
do
not burst
under their
own
weight
.
Binding
up the waters in His thick
clouds, And
the cloud
is
not rent
under them
.
He
covers
the face of the full
moon
, spreading over it His cloud.
Taking
hold
of
the face of the throne
, Spreading over it His cloud.
He
has
inscribed
a horizon
on the face
of
the
waters at
the boundary between
light and
darkness.
A limit
He
hath
placed
on the waters ,
Unto
the boundary of
light with
darkness.
The
foundations
of heaven
quake
, astounded
at
His rebuke.
Pillars
of the
heavens
do
tremble
, And
they
wonder
because
of
His rebuke.
By His power He stirred
the sea ;
by His understanding He
shattered
Rahab
.
By His power He hath
quieted
the sea ,
And
by His understanding smitten
the
proud
.
By His breath
the skies
were
cleared;
His hand pierced
the fleeing serpent.
By His Spirit
the heavens
He
beautified,
Formed
hath
His hand the fleeing serpent.
Indeed
, these are but
the fringes
of His ways;
how faint
is the
whisper
we
hear
of Him !
Who
then
can
understand
the thunder of His power
? ”
Lo
, these `
are '
the borders
of His way,
And
how little
a
matter
is heard
of Him ,
And
the thunder of His might
Who
doth
understand
?
