For the law having
a shadow of the coming
good things --
not the very
image
of
the
matters,
every
year
, by the same sacrifices that
they
offer
continually
, is
never
able
to
make perfect those coming
near ,
For the law is
only
a shadow of the good things to
come,
not the realities
themselves.
It
can
never
, by the same sacrifices offered
year
after
year
, make perfect those who
draw
near to
worship.
since
, would they
not have ceased to
be
offered
, because
of
those
serving
having
no more
conscience
of sins ,
having
once
been
purified?
If
it
could
, would not the
offerings
have ceased ?
For
the
worshipers
would
have
been
cleansed
once
for
all
, and
would
no longer
have
felt
the
guilt
of their
sins .
but
in
those `
sacrifices '
is
a
remembrance
of sins every
year
,
Instead,
those sacrifices are
an
annual
reminder
of sins,
for
it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

didst

for Me .

delight .
then I said, Lo,
I come

volume

the
book

been
written concerning
me ,)
to do, O God ,

will;'
Then I said, ‘Here
I am
, it is
written about
Me in
the
scroll:
I
have
come
to do Your
will
, O God .’”

`Sacrifice
, and offering
, and
burnt -
offerings ,
and concerning
sin -offering
Thou
didst
not will
, nor delight in ,'

which
according to the law are
offered
--
In
the
passage
above He
says
, “Sacrifices
and offerings
, burnt offerings and sin offerings
You

You
delight in them”

God,

establish;
Then He adds
, “Here
I

come to do Your
will .”

the right hand of God ,

when
this
Priest
had
offered
for all
time
one sacrifice for
sins
, He
sat
down at
the right hand of God .

to

rest
, expecting
till
He may
place
his enemies `as'

footstool,
Since
that
time
, He waits
for
His enemies to
be
made
a
footstool for
His
feet
,
for
by one
offering he hath
perfected
to
the
end
those sanctified ;
because
by a
single
offering He has
made
perfect
for
all
time
those who
are
being
sanctified .

testify
to
us
also
doth
the Holy Spirit ,
for
after
that
He hath
said
before,
The Holy Spirit also
testifies
to
us
about
this.
First
He says:
`
This `
is '
the covenant that
I will make with them after those days, saith
the Lord ,
giving
My laws on
their hearts ,
and upon
their minds I
will
write
them,'
“
This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, declares
the Lord .
I
will
put
My laws in
their hearts and inscribe
them
on
their minds .”
and
`
their sins and their
lawlessness
I will remember no more ;'
Then
He
adds:
“
Their sins and lawless
acts
I will remember no more .”
and where forgiveness
of
these `is'
, there
is
no
more
offering for sin.
And where these have
been
forgiven
, an
offering for sin is
no
longer
needed
.
Having,
therefore, brethren
, boldness
for
the
entrance
into
the holy places,
in
the blood of Jesus,
Therefore, brothers
, since
we
have
confidence
to
enter
the Most
Holy Place
by
the blood of Jesus,
which
way
he
did
initiate
for
us
--
new and living ,
through the vail,
that
is,
his flesh
--
by
the
new and living way
opened
for
us
through the curtain
of
His body,
and a high
priest over the house of God,
and since
we
have
a great
priest over the house of God,
may
we
draw near with a true
heart ,
in full assurance of faith, having the
hearts sprinkled from an
evil
conscience ,
and having
the
body
bathed
with pure water ;
let
us
draw near with a sincere
heart in full assurance of faith, having our
hearts sprinkled to
cleanse
us
from a
guilty
conscience and our
bodies
washed
with pure water .
may
we
hold fast
the
unwavering
profession
of
the hope, (
for faithful
`is'

promise),
Let
us
hold resolutely
to
the hope we
profess
, for He who promised
is
faithful.
and may
we
consider one another to
provoke
to love and to
good works,
And let
us
consider how
to
spur
one another on
to love and good deeds.
not forsaking
the
assembling
of
ourselves
together, as a custom
of
certain
`is'
, but exhorting
, and so
much
the more as ye
see the day coming
nigh
.
Let
us
not neglect
meeting
together, as some
have
made
a habit
, but let
us
encourage
one
another
, and all
the more as you
see the Day approaching
.
For
we --
willfully
sinning after the
receiving
the full
knowledge of the truth --
no more
for sins doth
there
remain
a
sacrifice
,
If
we deliberately
go
on
sinning after we
have
received
the knowledge of the truth ,
no further
sacrifice
for sins remains
,
but a certain
fearful looking
for
of judgment ,
and fiery
zeal,
about
to
devour
the
opposers;
but only
a fearful expectation
of judgment and of
raging
fire
that
will
consume
all
adversaries.

apart

mercies,

two or three witnesses ,

saying

Vengeance `

Lord;'
and again, `
The Lord shall
judge His people ;'

For we know
Him who said

Vengeance is Mine ;
I will repay
, ”
and again, “
The Lord will
judge His people .”
fearful

falling
into the hands of a
living God.

is a
fearful
thing
to
fall
into the hands of the
living God.
And
call
to
your
remembrance
the former
days ,
in which,
having
been
enlightened
, ye
did
endure
much
conflict of sufferings,
Remember
the early
days that
you
were
in the
light.
In
those
days
, you
endured
a
great
conflict in
the
face
of suffering.
partly
both
with
reproaches
and
tribulations
being
made
spectacles,
and partly
having
become
partners of
those so living,
Sometimes
you
were
publicly
exposed
to
ridicule
and persecution;
at
other
times
you
were
partners with
those who
were
so treated.
for
also
with my
bonds
ye
sympathised,
and the robbery
of your goods
with
joy
ye
did
receive
, knowing that ye
have
in
yourselves a better substance
in
the
heavens,
and an
enduring
one
.
You
sympathized
with those
in
prison
and joyfully
accepted
the confiscation
of your property
, knowing that you
yourselves had
a better and permanent
possession
.
Ye
may
not cast
away ,
then,
your boldness,
which
hath
great recompense
of
reward ,
So
do
not throw
away your confidence;
it
holds
a
great reward .
for
of
patience
ye
have
need, that the will of God having
done
, ye
may
receive the
promise,
You
need to
persevere
, so
that after
you
have
done
the will of God, you
will
receive what
He
has
promised.
for yet
a very
very
little, He who is coming will come ,
and will not tarry;
For ,
“In
just
a little while
, He who is coming will come and will not delay.
and
`the
righteous by faith shall
live,'
and `
if he may
draw
back, My
soul
hath
no pleasure in him ,'
But
My
righteous one
will
live
by faith ;
and if he shrinks
back, I
will
take
no pleasure in him .”
and
we are not of those drawing
back to
destruction
, but of those believing
to
a
preserving
of
soul
.
But
we are not of those who
shrink
back and
are
destroyed
, but of those who
have
faith
and
preserve
their
souls
.
