in the last days grievous
times shall
come.
But understand
this :
In the last days terrible
times will
come.
For men shall
be lovers of self
, lovers of money, boastful, haughty
, railers
, disobedient to parents, unthankful
, unholy,
For men will
be lovers of themselves
, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant
, abusive
, disobedient to their
parents, ungrateful
, unholy,
without
natural
affection
, implacable
, slanderers
, without self-control, fierce
, no
lovers
of good,
unloving
, unforgiving
, slanderous
, without self-control, brutal
, without
love
of good,
traitors
, headstrong
, puffed
up
, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God ;
traitorous
, reckless
, conceited
, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God ,
holding
a form of godliness ,
but having
denied
the
power therefore
. From
these
also
turn away .
having
a form of godliness but denying
its
power. Turn away from
such
as
these!
For
of
these
are
they that
creep
into houses,
and take
captive
silly
women laden
with sins ,
led away
by divers
lusts
,
They are
the
kind
who
worm
their
way
into households
and captivate
vulnerable
women who
are
weighed
down
with sins and
led astray
by various
passions
,
ever
learning ,
and
never able to come to the
knowledge of the truth.

always
learning but

And
even
as Jannes and Jambres withstood
Moses, so do
these
also withstand
the truth. Men
corrupted
in mind ,
reprobate
concerning
the faith.
Just
as Jannes and Jambres opposed
Moses, so also these
men
oppose
the truth. They
are
depraved
in mind and
disqualified
from
the faith.
But they shall
proceed
no
further. For their folly shall
be evident
unto
all
men,
as
theirs
also
came
to be
.
But they will
not
advance
much
further. For just
like
Jannes
and
Jambres,
their folly will
be plain
to everyone
.
But
thou
didst
follow
my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering
, love, patience

You,
however,
have
observed
my teaching, my
conduct, my
purpose, my
faith, my
patience
, my
love, my
perseverance
,
persecutions, sufferings .
What
things
befell
me at
Antioch, at
Iconium, at
Lystra ;
what persecutions I endured .
And
out
of
them
all
the Lord delivered
me.

the Lord rescued

all that
would
live godly in Christ Jesus shall
suffer
persecution.

live godly lives
in Christ Jesus will
be
persecuted,
But
evil men and impostors
shall
wax
worse
and
worse, deceiving and being deceived.
while
evil men and imposters
go
from
bad
to
worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But abide
thou
in the things which
thou
hast
learned and hast
been
assured
of
, knowing
of
whom thou
hast
learned them.
But as
for
you,
continue
in the things you
have
learned and firmly
believed
, since
you
know
from
whom you
have
learned them.
And
that
from a
babe
thou
hast
known the sacred
writings
which are able to make thee
wise unto
salvation through faith which
is
in Christ Jesus.
From infancy
you
have
known the Holy
Scriptures,
which are able to make you
wise for
salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
Every
scripture inspired
of
God `

also
profitable
for teaching
, for reproof
, for correction, for instruction
which
is
in righteousness .
All
Scripture is
God -breathed
and
is useful
for instruction
, for conviction
, for correction, and
for training
in righteousness ,
That the man of God may be complete, furnished
completely
unto
every good work.
