Verse
YLT
Young's Literal Translation
KJV
King James Version
I exhort, then
, first of all, there
be
made
supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings
, for all men :
I exhort therefore
, that
, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving
of
thanks
, be
made
for all men ;
for kings, and all who
are in authority ,
that a quiet and peaceable life we
may
lead
in all piety
and gravity,
For kings, and for
all that
are in authority ;
that we
may
lead
a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness
and honesty.
for this `
is '
right
and acceptable before
God our Saviour ,
For this is good
and acceptable in
the
sight
of
God our Saviour ;
who doth
will all men to be saved, and to come to
the full
knowledge of the truth ;
Who will have
all men to be saved, and to come unto
the knowledge of the truth .
for one
`
is '
God, one also
`is'
mediator of
God and of
men, the man Christ Jesus ,
For there
is one
God, and
one mediator between
God and men, the man Christ Jesus ;
who did
give
himself a ransom for all --
the
testimony
in its
own
times
--
Who gave
himself a ransom for all ,
to
be
testified
in due
time.
in
regard
to
which
I was
set
a preacher and apostle --
truth
I say
in Christ, I
do
not
lie --
a teacher of nations,
in faith and truth
.
Whereunto
I am
ordained
a preacher ,
and an
apostle ,
(
I speak
the
truth
in Christ, and
lie not;)
a teacher of the
Gentiles
in faith and verity
.
I wish,
therefore ,
that men pray in
every place
, lifting up kind
hands, apart
from
anger
and reasoning;
I will
therefore that men pray every where
, lifting up holy
hands, without
wrath
and doubting.
in like manner also the
women
, in becoming
apparel, with modesty
and sobriety to
adorn
themselves,
not in
braided
hair, or gold, or pearls, or garments
of
great
price,
In like manner also, that
women
adorn
themselves
in modest
apparel, with shamefacedness
and sobriety ;
not with
broided
hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly
array;
but --
which becometh women professing godly
piety
--
through
good works.
But (
which becometh women professing godliness)
with
good works.
Let a
woman in
quietness
learn in all subjection ,
Let the
woman learn in silence
with
all subjection .
and
a
woman
I do
not
suffer to teach, nor to rule
a
husband
, but to be in quietness,
But
I suffer not
a
woman
to teach, nor to usurp
authority
over
the
man
, but to be in silence.
for Adam was first formed, then Eve ,
For Adam was first formed, then Eve .
and Adam was not deceived, but the woman ,
having
been
deceived ,
into
transgression came,
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being
deceived was
in
the
transgression .
and
she shall be saved through
the
child-bearing
, if they remain
in faith ,
and love,
and sanctification,
with sobriety.
Notwithstanding
she shall be saved in
childbearing
, if they continue
in faith and charity
and holiness
with sobriety.
