I lifted up my eyes ,
and saw ,
and,
behold,
a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Then
I lifted up my eyes and saw a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Then
I
asked,
"
Where are you going? "
He
said
to
me,
"
To measure Jerusalem, to see
what
is
its breadth
and what
is
its
length. "
“
Where are you going? ”
I
asked.
“
To measure Jerusalem, ”
he
replied,
“and
to determine
its width
and length. ”
Behold,
the angel who talked
with me went forth
, and another angel went
out to meet him ,
Then
the angel who was
speaking
with me went out
, and another angel came
out to meet him
and said to him, "
Run ,
speak
to
this
young man ,
saying,
'
Jerusalem will be inhabited
as
villages
without walls ,
because of the multitude of men and cattle
in
it.
and said to him, “
Run and
tell
that
young man :
‘
Jerusalem will be a
city
without walls because of the multitude of men and livestock
within
it.
For I ,'
says
Yahweh,
'
will be to
her
a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in
the
midst
of
her
.
For I will be a wall of fire around it, declares
the
LORD,
and I will be the glory within
it
. ’”
Come
! Come
! Flee from the land of the north, '
says
Yahweh;
'
for I have spread
you abroad
as
the four winds of the
sky
, '
says
Yahweh
.
“Get
up
! Get
up
! Flee from the land of the north, ”
declares
the
LORD,
“
for I have scattered
you like
the four winds of heaven
, ”
declares
the
LORD
.
'Come
, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon .'
“Get
up
, O
Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the Daughter of Babylon !”
For thus
says
Yahweh
of hosts: 'For
honor
he
has sent me to
the nations which
plundered you ;
for he
who
touches you touches the apple of his eye .
For this
is
what
the
LORD
of Hosts says
: “After
His
Glory
has sent Me against
the nations that
have
plundered you —
for whoever
touches you touches the apple of His eye —
For,
behold,
I will shake
my hand over them, and
they will be
a
spoil
to
those
who
served
them;
and
you will know that Yahweh
of Hosts has sent me.
I will surely
wave
My hand over them, so
that
they will become
plunder
for
their
own
servants.
Then
you will know that the
LORD
of Hosts has sent Me. ”
Sing
and rejoice
, daughter of Zion ;
for
, behold,
I
come,
and
I will
dwell in
the
midst
of
you, '
says
Yahweh
.
“Shout
for
joy
and be
glad
, O
Daughter of Zion, for
I am
coming
to
dwell among
you, ”
declares
the
LORD
.
Many nations shall
join themselves to Yahweh
in
that
day
, and shall
be
my people ;
and
I will dwell in
the
midst
of
you, and you shall
know that Yahweh
of Hosts has sent me to you.
“On
that
day
many nations will
join themselves to the
LORD
, and they
will
become
My people .
I will dwell among
you, and you will
know that the
LORD
of Hosts has sent Me to you.
Yahweh
will inherit
Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
And
the
LORD
will take
possession
of
Judah as His portion in the Holy Land, and He
will once
again choose Jerusalem.
Be silent, all flesh
, before
Yahweh;
for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!"
Be silent before
the
LORD
, all people
, for He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling.”
