I lifted up mine
eyes again,
and looked,
and
behold
a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Then
I lifted up my
eyes and saw
a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Then
said
I,
Whither
goest
thou
? And
he
said
unto
me,
To measure Jerusalem, to
see
what
is
the
breadth
thereof
, and what
is
the
length thereof
.
“Where
are
you
going
? ”
I
asked.
“
To measure Jerusalem, ”
he
replied
, “
and to
determine
its
width
and
length. ”
And,
behold,
the angel that
talked
with me went forth
, and another angel went
out to meet him ,
Then
the angel who
was
speaking
with me went out
, and another angel came
out to meet him
And said unto
him, Run ,
speak
to
this
young man ,
saying,
Jerusalem shall
be inhabited
as
towns
without walls for
the multitude of men and cattle
therein:
and said to
him, “
Run and
tell
that
young man :
‘
Jerusalem will
be a
city
without walls because
of
the multitude of men and livestock
within
it.
For I ,
saith
the
LORD,
will be unto
her
a wall of fire round
about
, and will be the glory in
the
midst
of
her
.
For I will be a wall of fire around
it
, declares
the
LORD,
and I
will be the glory within
it
. ’”
Ho,
ho,
come
forth,
and
flee from the land of the north, saith
the LORD :
for I have spread
you abroad
as
the four winds of the
heaven, saith
the LORD.
“Get
up!
Get
up!
Flee from the land of the north, ”
declares
the LORD ,
“
for I have scattered
you like
the four winds of heaven, ”
declares
the LORD.
Deliver
thyself
, O Zion, that
dwellest
with the daughter of Babylon .
“Get
up
, O Zion !
Escape
, you
who
dwell
with the Daughter of Babylon !”
For thus
saith
the LORD of hosts ;
After the
glory hath
he
sent me unto
the nations which
spoiled
you :
for he
that
toucheth
you toucheth
the apple of his eye .
For this
is
what
the LORD of Hosts says:
“
After His
Glory has
sent Me against
the nations that
have
plundered
you —
for whoever
touches
you touches
the apple of His eye —
For,
behold,
I will shake
mine
hand upon
them, and
they shall
be
a
spoil
to
their servants :
and
ye
shall
know that the LORD of hosts hath
sent me.
I will surely
wave
My
hand over
them, so
that
they will
become
plunder
for
their own
servants .
Then
you
will
know that the LORD of Hosts has
sent Me. ”
Sing
and rejoice
, O daughter of Zion :
for
, lo,
I
come,
and
I will
dwell in
the
midst
of
thee
, saith
the LORD.
“Shout
for
joy
and be
glad
, O Daughter of Zion, for
I am
coming
to
dwell among
you
, ”
declares
the LORD.
And
many nations shall
be
joined
to the LORD in
that
day
, and shall
be
my people :
and
I will dwell in
the
midst
of
thee
, and thou
shalt
know that the LORD of hosts hath
sent me unto
thee
.
“On
that
day
many nations will
join
themselves
to the LORD, and they
will
become
My people .
I will dwell among
you
, and you
will
know that the LORD of Hosts has
sent Me to
you
.
And the LORD shall
inherit
Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall
choose Jerusalem again
.
And the LORD will
take
possession
of
Judah as
His portion in the Holy Land, and He
will
once
again
choose Jerusalem.
Be silent ,
O
all
flesh,
before the LORD :
for he is
raised
up
out
of
his holy habitation
.
Be silent before the LORD ,
all
people,
for He has
roused
Himself
from
His holy dwelling
. ”
