Berean Standard Bible
Put
them
in
mind
to be
in
subjection
to rulers ,
to
authorities, to be obedient ,
to
be
ready unto
every good work,
Remind
the
believers
to submit
to rulers and
authorities, to be obedient and
ready for
every good work,
to speak
evil
of
no man,
not
to
be
contentious
, to be gentle, showing all
meekness
toward
all
men
.
to malign
no one
, and
to be peaceable
and
gentle, showing full
consideration
to
everyone
.
For we also
once
were foolish, disobedient, deceived
, serving
divers
lusts
and pleasures ,
living in malice and envy, hateful,
hating one another.
For at
one
time
we too
were foolish, disobedient, misled
, and enslaved
to
all
sorts
of
desires
and
pleasures —
living in malice and envy, being
hated
and
hating one another.
But when the kindness of God our Saviour,
and his love toward
man,
appeared,
But when the kindness of God our Savior
and His love for
mankind
appeared,
not by works
`done'
in
righteousness,
which
we did
ourselves
, but according to his mercy he
saved
us
, through the washing of regeneration
and renewing
of
the Holy Spirit ,
He
saved
us,
not by the
righteous
deeds
we had
done
, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new
birth
and renewal
by
the Holy Spirit .
which
he poured out upon
us richly,
through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
This
is
the
Spirit
He poured out on
us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior,
that, being
justified by his grace, we might
be
made
heirs according
to
the hope of eternal life.
so
that, having
been
justified by His grace, we would
become
heirs with
the hope of eternal life.
Faithful
is
the
saying ,
and concerning
these things I
desire
that
thou
affirm
confidently
, to
the
end
that they
who have believed God may
be
careful
to maintain
good works
. These things are good
and profitable unto
men:
This
saying is
trustworthy.
And I
want
you
to
emphasize
these things, so
that those
who have believed God will
take
care
to devote
themselves
to
good deeds
. These things are excellent
and profitable for
the
people.
but shun
foolish questionings
, and
genealogies, and
strifes
, and fightings
about law ;
for
they
are unprofitable
and vain
.
But avoid
foolish controversies
, genealogies, arguments
, and quarrels
about the
law ,
because
these
things
are pointless
and worthless
.
A factious
man after a first and second admonition refuse;
Reject
a divisive
man after a first and second admonition ,
knowing that such a one
is perverted,
and sinneth,
being
self-condemned.
knowing that such a man
is corrupt
and sinful;
he
is
self-condemned.
When
I shall
send Artemas unto
thee,
or Tychicus, give
diligence
to come unto
me
to Nicopolis :
for
there
I have determined
to winter.
As
soon
as
I send Artemas or Tychicus to
you
, make
every
effort
to come to me
at
Nicopolis ,
because
I have decided
to winter there
.
Set
forward
Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on
their
journey
diligently
, that nothing
be
wanting
unto
them
.
Do
your
best
to
equip
Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, so
that they
will
have
everything
they
need
.
And let
our `
people '
also learn to maintain
good works for
necessary
uses
, that they be
not unfruitful.
And our people must
also learn to devote
themselves
to
good works in
order
to
meet
the
pressing
needs
of
others
, so
that they will
not be
unfruitful.
All that
are with me salute
thee
. Salute
them
that
love us in faith. Grace be with you
all.
All who
are with me send
you
greetings
. Greet
those
who
love us in the
faith. Grace be with all of
you
.
