Berean Standard Bible
There is ,
then,
now no condemnation to
those in Christ Jesus ,
who
walk
not
according
to
the
flesh,
but
according
to
the
Spirit;
Therefore,
there is now no condemnation for
those who
are
in Christ Jesus .
for the law of the Spirit of the
life in
Christ
Jesus
did
set me
free from the law of the
sin and of
the
death ;
For in
Christ
Jesus
the law of the Spirit of life set you
free from the law of sin and death .
for what the law was not
able
to do ,
in that it was weak
through
the flesh, God ,
His own Son having
sent
in the likeness of sinful flesh
, and
for sin ,
did
condemn
the
sin in the flesh,
For what the law was powerless
to do in that it was weakened
by
the flesh, God did
by
sending
His own Son in the likeness of sinful man
, as
an
offering
for sin .
He
thus
condemned
sin in the flesh,
that the righteousness
of the law may
be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh ,
but according to the Spirit.
so
that the righteous
standard
of the law might
be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
For
those who are
according to the flesh ,
the things of the flesh do
mind
; and
those according to the Spirit ,
the things of the Spirit ;
Those who live
according to the flesh set
their
minds
on
the things of the flesh; but
those who
live
according to the Spirit set
their
minds
on
the things of the Spirit .
for
the mind of the flesh `
is '
death, and
the mind of the Spirit --
life and peace ;
The mind of the flesh is death, but
the mind of the Spirit is
life and peace ,
because the mind of the flesh `
is '
enmity
to
God,
for
to the
law
of
God it doth
not subject
itself
,
because the mind of the flesh is hostile
to God :
It does
not submit
to
God’s
law
, nor
can
it
do
so.
for
neither
is
it
able;
and
those who
are
in
the flesh are
not
able
to
please God.
Those controlled
by
the flesh cannot
please God.
And
ye
are not in
the flesh, but in
the Spirit, if indeed
the Spirit of God doth
dwell
in you ;
and if any
one
hath
not the Spirit of Christ --
this
one
is
not His;
You,
however,
are controlled
not by
the flesh, but by
the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives
in you .
And if anyone
does
not have
the Spirit of Christ ,
he
does
not belong
to
Christ.
and
if Christ `
is '
in you, the
body ,
indeed,
`
is '
dead because of sin, and
the
Spirit `
is '
life
because of righteousness ,
But
if Christ is in you, your
body is dead because of sin, yet
your
spirit is alive
because of righteousness .
and if the Spirit of Him who did
raise
up
Jesus out
of
the dead doth
dwell
in you, He who did
raise
up
the
Christ out
of
the dead shall
quicken
also your dying
bodies ,
through His Spirit dwelling
in you.
And if the Spirit of Him who raised
Jesus from
the dead is
living
in you, He who raised
Christ Jesus
from
the dead will
also give
life
to
your mortal
bodies through His Spirit ,
who
lives
in you.
So,
then
, brethren
, we are
debtors
, not to the flesh, to live according to the
flesh;
Therefore
, brothers
, we have
an
obligation
, but
it
is
not to the flesh, to live according to it.
for if according to the flesh ye
do
live
, ye
are
about
to
die; and
if ,
by the Spirit ,
the deeds of the body ye
put
to
death
, ye
shall
live ;
For if you
live
according to the flesh, you
will
die; but
if by the Spirit you
put
to
death
the deeds of the body, you
will
live .
for as
many
as
are led by the Spirit of God ,
these
are the
sons of God ;
For all
who
are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God .
for ye
did not receive a spirit of bondage
again
for
fear, but ye
did
receive
a
spirit of adoption
in
which
we cry, `
Abba --
Father .'
For you
did not receive a spirit of slavery
that
returns
you
to
fear, but you
received
the
Spirit of sonship,
by
whom
we cry, “
Abba !
Father !”
The Spirit himself doth
testify
with our spirit ,
that we are children of
God;
The Spirit Himself testifies
with our spirit that we are God’s
children .
and if children, also
heirs ,
heirs ,
indeed,
of God ,
and heirs together
of
Christ --
if ,
indeed ,
we suffer together
, that we may also be glorified together
.
And if we
are
children, then
we
are
heirs :
heirs of God and co-
heirs with
Christ —
if indeed we suffer with
Him
, so
that we may also be glorified with
Him
.
For
I reckon
that the
sufferings
of
the
present time
`
are '
not worthy
`
to be
compared'
with
the glory about
to
be revealed in us ;
I consider
that our
present sufferings
are not comparable
to the glory that
will
be revealed in us .
for
the earnest
looking
out
of
the
creation doth
expect
the revelation of the sons of God ;
The creation waits
in
eager
expectation
for
the revelation of the sons of God .
for to
vanity
was
the creation made
subject
--
not of
its will, but because of Him
who did
subject
`
it '
--
in hope ,
For the creation was
subjected
to
futility,
not by
its own
will, but because of the
One
who subjected
it ,
in hope
that also
the creation itself shall
be set free from the
servitude
of
the
corruption
to the
liberty
of
the glory
of the children of God ;
that the creation itself will
be set free from its
bondage
to decay
and
brought
into
the glorious
freedom
of the children of God .
for
we have
known
that all
the creation doth
groan
together ,
and
doth
travail
in pain
together
till
now
.
We know
that the whole
creation has
been
groaning
together in the
pains
of
childbirth
until
the
present
time
.
And
not only `so'
, but also
we ourselves, having
the first-fruit
of the Spirit, we
also
ourselves
in
ourselves
do
groan ,
adoption expecting
--
the redemption of our body;
Not only that
, but we ourselves, who
have
the firstfruits
of the Spirit, groan inwardly
as
we
wait
eagerly
for
our
adoption as
sons,
the redemption of our bodies.
for in hope we were saved ,
and
hope beheld
is not
hope ;
for what any
one
doth
behold,
why
also
doth
he hope
for
`it'
?
For in this
hope we were saved ;
but
hope that
is seen
is
no
hope at
all.
Who
hopes
for what he can
already
see
?
and
if what we do not behold
we
hope
for
, through
continuance
we expect
`
it '
.
But
if we
hope
for
what we do not yet
see
, we wait
for
it patiently
.
And,
in like
manner
also
, the Spirit doth
help
our weaknesses;
for,
what
we
may
pray
for ,
as
it
behoveth
`us',
we have
not known
, but the Spirit himself doth
make
intercession
for us with groanings
unutterable,
In the
same
way
, the Spirit helps
us
in
our weakness.
For we do
not know
how
we
ought
to
pray
, but the Spirit Himself intercedes
for us with groans
too
deep
for
words.
and He who is
searching
the
hearts hath
known
what
`is'
the mind of the Spirit, because according to God he
doth
intercede
for
saints
.
And He who searches
our
hearts knows
the mind of the Spirit, because the
Spirit
intercedes
for
the
saints
according to the
will
of
God.
And we have
known
that to
those
loving
God all things do
work
together for good ,
to
those who are called according to purpose ;
And we know
that God works
all things together for the
good of
those who love
Him,
who
are called according to His
purpose .
because
whom
He
did
foreknow
, He also did
fore-appoint,
conformed to the image of His Son, that he might
be first-born
among many brethren;
For
those
God
foreknew
, He also predestined
to
be
conformed to the image of His Son, so
that He would
be the
firstborn
among many brothers.
and whom
He did
fore-appoint
, these
also
He did
call
; and
whom
He did
call
, these
also
He declared
righteous
; and
whom
He declared
righteous
, these
also
He did
glorify
.
And those
He predestined
, He also
called
; those
He called
, He also
justified
; those
He justified
, He also
glorified
.
What ,
then ,
shall we say unto
these things? if God `
is '
for us, who `is'
against us?
What then shall we say in
response
to
these things? If God is for us, who can
be
against us?
He who indeed
His
own
Son
did not spare ,
but for us all did
deliver
him
up
, how shall
He not also with him the
all things grant
to
us
?
He who did not spare His
own
Son
but gave
Him
up
for us all, how will
He not also ,
along
with Him ,
freely
give
us
all things?
Who shall
lay
a
charge against the
choice
ones
of
God
? God
`is'
He
that
is declaring
righteous,
Who will
bring
any
charge against God’s
elect
? It
is God
who
justifies.
who `
is '
he
that
is
condemning
? Christ `is'
He
that
died,
yea
, rather
also
, was raised up;
who
is also
on
the right hand of God --
who
also
doth
intercede
for us.
Who is there
to
condemn
us
? For
Christ Jesus
, who
died
, and
more
than
that
was raised to
life,
is at
the right hand of God —and
He
is
interceding
for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of the
Christ? tribulation,
or distress ,
or persecution ,
or famine ,
or nakedness ,
or peril,
or sword?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall
trouble
or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger
or sword?
(according
as it hath
been
written --
`
For Thy
sake we are
put
to
death all the
day long ,
we were
reckoned
as sheep of
slaughter,')
As it is
written :
“
For Your
sake we face
death all day long ;
we are
considered
as sheep to
be
slaughtered.”
but
in all these we more than conquer,
through him who loved us ;
No,
in all these things
we are
more than conquerors
through Him who loved us .
for I am persuaded
that neither death ,
nor life, nor
messengers,
nor principalities, nor powers
, nor things
present
,
For I am convinced
that neither death nor life, neither
angels
nor principalities, neither
the
present
nor the
future
, nor any
powers
,
nor
things
about
to
be,
nor
height ,
nor depth, nor any
other
created
thing
, shall
be able to separate us from the love of god ,
that `
is '
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
neither
height nor depth, nor anything
else
in
all
creation
, will
be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
