And
I saw
when
the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying,
as
it
were
a voice of
thunder
, `
Come and
behold
! '
Then
I watched
as
the Lamb opened one of the seven
seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say
in
a thunderous
voice, “
Come! ”
and
I saw,
and lo,
a white horse, and he
who
is
sitting
upon
it
is
having
a bow ,
and there
was given to
him
a crown, and he went
forth
overcoming,
and
that
he
may
overcome.
So
I looked
and saw
a white horse, and its
rider
held
a bow .
And he
was given a crown, and he rode
out
to
overcome and
conquer
.
And when he
opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying
, `
Come and
behold
! '
And when the
Lamb
opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say
, “
Come! ”
and
there
went
forth
another horse --
red, and to
him
who
is
sitting
upon
it,
there
was given
to
him
to take the
peace from the land,
and that
one another they
may
slay,
and there
was given to
him
a great sword.
Then
another horse went
forth.
It
was
bright
red, and its
rider
was granted
permission
to take away
peace from the earth
and to
make
men
slay
one another .
And he
was given a great sword.
And when he
opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying
, `
Come and
behold
! '
and
I saw,
and lo,
a black horse, and he
who
is
sitting
upon
it
is
having
a
balance
in his hand ,
And when the
Lamb
opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say
, “
Come! ”
Then
I looked
and saw
a black horse, and its
rider
held
in his hand a
pair
of
scales.
and I heard a voice in
the
midst
of
the four living creatures saying, `
A measure
of wheat for a denary
, and three measures
of barley for a denary
, '
and `
The oil and the
wine thou
mayest
not
injure
. '
And I heard what
sounded
like
a voice from
among
the four living creatures ,
saying, “
A quart
of wheat for a denarius
, and three quarts
of barley for a denarius
, and do
not
harm
the oil and wine. ”
And when he
opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying
, `
Come and
behold
! '
And when the
Lamb
opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say
, “
Come! ”
and
I saw,
and lo,
a pale horse ,
and
he
who
is
sitting
upon
him
--
his
name is
Death, and Hades doth
follow
with
him,
and there
was
given to
them
authority to
kill,
(
over the
fourth part
of the land
, )
with
sword, and
with
hunger
, and
with
death
, and by the beasts of the land
.
Then
I looked
and saw
a pale green
horse .
Its
rider’s
name was
Death, and Hades followed
close
behind.
And they
were
given authority over a
fourth of the earth
, to
kill
by
sword, by
famine
, by
plague
, and by the beasts of the earth
.
And when he
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because
of
the word of God ,
and because
of
the testimony that
they held,
And when the
Lamb
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who
had
been
slain for
the word of God and for
the testimony they had
upheld.
and they were
crying
with
a great
voice, saying,
`Till
when
, O Master
, the
Holy and the
True, dost
Thou
not
judge
and
take
vengeance
of
our blood from
those dwelling
upon the land
? '
And they cried
out
in
a loud
voice, “How
long
, O Lord
, holy and true, until
You
avenge
our blood and
judge
those who
dwell
upon the earth
? ”
and
there
was given to
each
one
white robes,
and it
was
said
to them
that
they
may
rest themselves
yet
a little time
, till
may
be
fulfilled
also
their fellow -
servants and
their brethren
, who
are
about
to
be
killed --
even
as they.
Then
each
of
them
was given a
white robe
and told
to rest a little while
longer
, until
the
full
number
of
their fellow servants ,
their brothers
, were
killed ,
just
as they had
been
killed
.
And I saw when
he
opened
the sixth seal, and
lo,
a great earthquake came
, and the sun became black as
sackcloth of hair, and the moon became
as
blood,
And when
I saw the Lamb
open
the
sixth seal, there
was
a great earthquake, and the sun became black like
sackcloth of goat
hair, and the whole
moon turned
blood red
,
and the stars of the heaven
fell to the earth --
as
a fig-
tree doth
cast
her
winter
figs,
by a great wind being
shaken
--
and the stars of the sky
fell to the earth like
unripe
figs
dropping
from
a tree shaken
by a great wind .
and
heaven
departed
as
a scroll rolled up, and every mountain and island --
out
of
their
places
they
were
moved ;
The
sky
receded
like
a scroll being
rolled up, and every mountain and island was
moved from
its
place.
and
the kings of the earth, and
the great
men
, and
the rich
, and
the chiefs
of
thousands
, and
the mighty, and every servant,
and every
freeman,
hid themselves
in the dens,
and in
the rocks of the mountains ,
Then
the kings of the earth, the nobles
, the commanders
, the rich
, the mighty, and every slave
and free
man
hid in the caves
and among
the rocks of the mountains .
and they say
to the mountains and to
the rocks, `
Fall upon
us ,
and hide us from the face of Him
who
is
sitting
upon
the throne, and from the anger
of the Lamb ,'
And they said
to the mountains and the rocks, “
Fall on
us and hide us from the face of the One
seated
on
the
throne, and from the wrath
of the Lamb .
because
come
did
the great day of His
anger
, and who is able to stand
?
For
the great day of Their
wrath
has
come
, and who is able to withstand
it
? ”
