I saw
when
the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard ,
as
it
were
the
noise
of
thunder,
one of the four beasts
saying
, Come and
see.
Then
I watched
as
the Lamb opened one of the seven
seals, and I heard one of the four living
creatures
say
in
a
thunderous
voice
, “
Come !”
And
I saw,
and behold
a white horse :
and he
that
sat
on
him
had
a bow ;
and a
crown
was given unto
him:
and
he
went
forth
conquering
, and to conquer.
So
I looked
and saw
a white horse ,
and its
rider
held
a bow .
And he
was given a
crown
, and he
rode
out
to overcome
and
conquer.
And when he
had
opened the second seal, I heard the second beast
say, Come and
see.
And when the
Lamb
opened the second seal, I heard the second living
creature
say, “
Come !”
And
there
went
out
another horse that
was red :
and power
was given
to
him
that
sat
thereon
to take peace from the earth ,
and that
they
should
kill
one another :
and there
was given unto
him
a great sword.
Then
another horse went
forth.
It
was bright
red ,
and its
rider
was granted
permission
to take away
peace from the earth and to
make
men
slay
one another .
And he
was given a great sword.
And when he
had
opened the third seal, I heard the third beast
say, Come and
see.
And
I beheld,
and lo
a black horse ;
and he
that
sat
on
him
had
a
pair
of
balances
in his hand.
And when the
Lamb
opened the third seal, I heard the third living
creature
say, “
Come !”
Then
I looked
and saw
a black horse ,
and its
rider
held
in his hand a
pair
of
scales
.
And I heard a voice in
the
midst
of
the four beasts
say
, A measure
of wheat for a penny
, and three measures
of barley for a penny;
and see
thou
hurt
not the oil and the
wine.
And I heard what
sounded
like
a voice from
among
the four living
creatures
, saying,
“
A quart
of wheat for a denarius
, and three quarts
of barley for a denarius,
and do
not harm
the oil and wine. ”
And when he
had
opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast
say, Come and
see.
And when the
Lamb
opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living
creature
say, “
Come !”
And
I looked ,
and behold
a pale horse :
and
his
name that
sat
on
him
was Death, and Hell
followed with
him
. And power
was
given unto
them
over the
fourth part
of the earth, to kill with
sword, and
with
hunger
, and
with
death
, and with
the beasts of the earth.
Then
I looked and saw
a pale green
horse .
Its
rider’s
name was Death, and Hades
followed close
behind
. And they
were
given authority
over a
fourth of the earth, to kill by
sword, by
famine
, by
plague
, and by
the beasts of the earth.
And when he
had
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them
that
were
slain for the word of God ,
and for the testimony which
they held:
And when the
Lamb
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those
who
had
been
slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had
upheld.
And they cried with
a loud voice, saying,
How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost
thou
not
judge
and
avenge our blood on
them
that
dwell on
the earth?
And they cried out
in
a loud voice, “
How long, O Lord, holy and true, until
You
avenge our blood and
judge
those
who
dwell upon
the earth? ”
And
white
robes
were
given
unto
every
one
of them ;
and
it
was said
unto
them,
that
they
should
rest yet
for
a little season
, until their fellowservants
also
and
their brethren
, that
should
be
killed as they were,
should
be
fulfilled
.
Then
each
of them was given
a
white
robe
and
told
to
rest a little while
longer
, until the
full
number
of
their fellow
servants,
their brothers
, were
killed ,
just
as they had
been
killed
.
And I
beheld
when he
had
opened
the sixth seal, and,
lo,
there was a great earthquake ;
and the sun became black as
sackcloth of hair, and the moon became
as
blood ;
And when I
saw
the Lamb
open
the
sixth seal, there was a great earthquake ,
and the sun became black like
sackcloth of goat
hair, and the whole
moon turned
blood red,
And the stars of heaven
fell unto
the earth ,
even
as
a fig
tree casteth
her
untimely
figs,
when
she
is
shaken of
a mighty
wind.
and the stars of the
sky
fell to
the earth like
unripe
figs
dropping
from
a tree shaken by
a great
wind.
And
the heaven
departed
as
a scroll when
it
is
rolled together;
and every mountain and island were
moved out
of
their
places
.
The sky
receded
like
a scroll being
rolled up,
and every mountain and island was
moved from
its
place
.
And
the kings of the earth, and
the great
men
, and
the rich
men
, and
the chief
captains
, and
the mighty men
, and every bondman,
and every
free man ,
hid themselves
in the dens
and in
the rocks of the mountains ;
Then
the kings of the earth, the nobles
, the commanders
, the rich
, the mighty, and every slave
and free man hid in the caves
and among
the rocks of the mountains .
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us ,
and hide us from the face of him
that
sitteth
on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb :
And they
said to the mountains and the
rocks, “
Fall on us and hide us from the face of the
One
seated
on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb .
For the great day of his
wrath is
come ;
and who shall
be
able to stand
?
For the great day of Their
wrath has
come ,
and who is
able to withstand
it
? ”
