IT IS A
GOOD THING
TO GIVE
THANKS
UNTO
THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO
THY
NAME, O MOST HIGH :
A
Psalm.
A
song
for
the
Sabbath
day.
It is good to praise
the LORD, and to sing praises to
Your
name, O Most High ,
To shew
forth
thy
lovingkindness
in the morning ,
and thy
faithfulness every
night ,
to proclaim
Your
loving
devotion
in the morning and Your
faithfulness at
night
Upon
an
instrument
of
ten strings,
and upon
the psaltery;
upon
the harp
with
a
solemn
sound
.
with
the
ten -stringed
harp
and the melody
of
the lyre
.
For thou
, LORD, hast
made me glad through
thy
work:
I will
triumph
in
the works of thy
hands.
For You
, O
LORD, have
made me glad by
Your
deeds;
I sing
for
joy
at
the works of Your
hands.
O LORD, how great
are thy
works!
and
thy
thoughts are
very
deep.
How
great
are
Your
works,
O LORD, how deep
are Your
thoughts !
A brutish
man knoweth
not ;
neither
doth
a fool understand this.
A senseless
man does
not know,
and
a fool does
not
understand ,
When
the wicked spring
as
the
grass, and when
all the
workers
of
iniquity
do
flourish ;
it
is
that
they shall
be destroyed for
ever:
that
though
the wicked sprout
like
grass, and all evildoers
flourish ,
they will
be forever
destroyed .
But thou
, LORD, art
most
high
for
evermore.
But You
, O
LORD, are
exalted
forever!
For ,
lo,
thine
enemies, O LORD, for,
lo,
thine
enemies shall
perish; all the
workers
of
iniquity
shall
be scattered.
For surely
Your
enemies, O LORD, surely
Your
enemies will
perish; all evildoers
will
be scattered.
But my horn shalt
thou
exalt
like the
horn
of an
unicorn:
I
shall
be
anointed
with fresh
oil.
But You
have
exalted
my horn like that
of a
wild
ox;
with fine
oil I
have
been
anointed
.
Mine
eye
also
shall
see my desire
on
mine
enemies ,
and
mine
ears shall
hear my
desire
of
the wicked that
rise
up
against
me
.
My
eyes
see the
downfall
of
my enemies ;
my
ears hear the wailing
of
my
wicked foes
.
The righteous shall
flourish like the
palm tree :
he
shall
grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
The righteous will
flourish like a
palm tree ,
and
grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those
that
be
planted in the house of the LORD shall
flourish in the courts of our God.
Planted in the house of the LORD ,
they
will
flourish in the courts of our God.
They
shall
still
bring
forth
fruit
in old age ;
they shall
be
fat
and
flourishing
;
In old age they will
still
bear
fruit
; healthy
and
green
they
will
remain,
To shew
that
the LORD is upright :
he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in
him
.
to proclaim,
“
The LORD is upright ;
He is my Rock, and in
Him
there is no unrighteousness. ”
