I will sing of the loving
devotion
of the
LORD
forever;
with my mouth I
will proclaim
Your
faithfulness to all generations.
I will sing of the lovingkindness
of Jehovah
for
ever:
With my mouth will I
make
known
thy
faithfulness to all generations.
For I have said, “Loving
devotion
is
built up forever
; in the heavens You
establish
Your
faithfulness
. ”
For I have said, Mercy
shall
be
built up for
ever
; Thy
faithfulness
wilt
thou
establish
in the very
heavens.
You
said,
“
I have made a covenant with My chosen one
, I have sworn to
David My servant:
I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto
David my servant:
‘I
will establish your
offspring
forever
and build up your
throne for
all generations. ’”

seed
will I
establish for

And build up thy
throne to

The heavens praise Your
wonders, O LORD—
Your
faithfulness as
well—
in the assembly of the holy ones.

the heavens shall

For who in the skies can compare

LORD
? Who among the heavenly
beings

LORD?

feared,
and awesome

rule
the raging

I have found My servant David
; with My sacred
oil I
have anointed him .

my servant; With my holy

My hand will
sustain
him

arm will
strengthen him.
With
whom

established
; Mine
arm also

strengthen him.
No
enemy will
exact tribute;
no
wicked
man
will
oppress
him.

enemy shall

exact from

son
of
wickedness
afflict

I will crush
his foes
before him and strike

hate him.

I will beat

his adversaries

And smite

My faithfulness and loving
devotion
will
be with him ,

My name his horn will
be exalted.

preserve

devotion

and My covenant with

My lovingkindness
will
I
keep
for him for

And my covenant shall

his line

, his throne as long
as
the heavens
endure
.
His seed
also
will
I
make
to
endure
for
ever
, And
his throne as the days
of
heaven

If his sons
forsake My law and do
not
walk in My
judgments,
If his children
forsake my law ,
And walk not
in mine
ordinances;
if they violate
My statutes and fail
to
keep My commandments ,
If they break
my statutes ,
And keep not
my commandments ;
I
will attend
to
their transgression with the rod, and to
their iniquity with stripes.
Then
will I
visit
their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.
But I
will not withdraw
My
loving
devotion
from him, nor ever
betray
My faithfulness.
But my
lovingkindness
will I
not utterly
take
from him, Nor suffer
my faithfulness to
fail
.
I
will
not
violate
My covenant or
alter the utterance
of My lips.
My covenant will
I
not
break,
Nor
alter the thing
that
is
gone
out
of my lips.

for
all
I
have sworn by My holiness —
I will not lie to
David —
Once have I

his offspring

however,
You
have
spurned
and rejected him;
You
are
enraged
by

anointed one

cast
off

wroth

thine
anointed.

renounced
the covenant with

servant and
sullied
his crown in
the dust
.
Thou
hast
abhorred
the covenant of
thy
servant :
Thou
hast
profaned
his crown `by
casting

broken down all his walls

his strongholds to rubble
.
Thou
hast
broken down all his hedges

brought
his strongholds to ruin

pass by plunder
him ;

become a reproach to his neighbors.

rob
him :
He is

You
have
exalted the right hand of his foes

made all his enemies rejoice.

bent
the edge of his sword and have
not sustained
him in battle.

thou
turnest
back

For what futility

created all men!

devotion
