For
the
choirmaster.
According
to
Jeduthun.
A
Psalm
of
Asaph.
I
cried
out
to God ;
I cried
aloud
to God to hear
me.
>
My
cry
goes
to God !
Indeed,
I cry
to God for
help,
And
for
him
to listen
to
me.
In the day of trouble I sought the Lord ;
through
the night my
outstretched
hands
did
not
grow
weary;
my soul refused to be comforted.
In the day of my
trouble I sought the Lord .
My
hand
was
stretched
out
in
the night ,
and
didn't
get
tired.
My soul refused to be comforted.
I remembered
You,
O
God, and I groaned;
I mused
and my spirit grew
faint
. Selah
I remember
God, and I groan.
I complain,
and my spirit is
overwhelmed
. Selah .
You have
kept
my eyes
from
closing;
I am too
troubled to
speak.
You hold
my eyelids
open.
I am so
troubled that
I
can't
speak.
I considered the days of old, the years long
in
the
past
.
I have
considered the days of old, The years of
ancient
times
.
At
night
I remembered
my song ;
in my heart I
mused,
and
my spirit pondered
:
I remember
my song in the
night.
I
consider
in
my own
heart ;
My spirit diligently
inquires
:
“
Will the Lord spurn
us forever and
never
show
His
favor
again
?
"
Will the Lord reject
us forever? Will
he
be
favorable
no
more?
Is
His loving devotion
gone
forever? Has
His promise failed
for all
time
?
Has
his loving kindness
vanished
forever? Does
his promise fail
for generations
?
Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has His
anger shut
off
His compassion? ”
Selah
Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he,
in
anger ,
withheld
his compassion? "
Selah .
So
I said
, “
I am
grieved
that
the right hand of the Most High has
changed
. ”
Then
I thought
, "
I will
appeal
to
this:
The years
of
the
right hand of the Most High. "
I will remember the
works
of
the
LORD
; yes,
I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will remember Yah's
deeds
; For
I will remember your wonders of old.
I will reflect
on all You
have
done
and ponder
Your mighty
deeds
.
I will also
meditate
on all your
work,
And consider
your doings
.
Your way, O
God, is holy
. What god is so
great as
our
God?
Your way, God, is in
the
sanctuary
. What god is great like
God?
You are the God who works
wonders ;
You display
Your strength among the peoples.
You are the God who does
wonders .
You have
made
your strength known
among the peoples.
With
power
You redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
You have
redeemed your people with
your
arm
, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah .
The waters saw You, O
God ;
the waters saw You and swirled;
even
the depths were
shaken
.
The waters saw you, God .
The waters saw you ,
and they
writhed.
The depths also
convulsed
.
The clouds poured down
water ;
the skies resounded with thunder ;
Your arrows flashed back
and
forth
.
The clouds poured out
water .
The skies resounded with thunder .
Your arrows also
flashed around
.
Your thunder resounded
in the whirlwind ;
the lightning
lit up the world ;
the earth trembled and quaked
.
The
voice
of
your thunder was
in the whirlwind .
The lightnings
lit up the world .
The earth trembled and shook
.
Your path
led
through the sea ,
Your way
through the mighty
waters ,
but
Your footprints
were not to
be
found
.
Your way
was
through the sea ;
Your paths
through the great
waters .
Your footsteps
were not known
.
You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
You led your people like a flock ,
By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
