According
to
Jeduthun.
A
Psalm
of
Asaph.
I cried
out
to
God ;
I
cried
aloud
to
God to
hear
me.
I will
cry
unto
God with
my
voice,
Even
unto
God with
my
voice;
and
he
will
give
ear
unto
me.
In the day of trouble I sought the Lord ;
through
the night my
outstretched
hands
did
not grow
weary
; my soul refused to be comforted.
In the day of my
trouble I sought the Lord :
My
hand
was
stretched
out
in
the night ,
and
slacked
not; My soul refused to be comforted.
I remembered
You,
O
God, and I
groaned;
I mused
and my spirit grew
faint
. Selah
I remember
God, and am
disquieted:
I complain,
and my spirit is
overwhelmed
. Selah
You
have
kept
my
eyes from
closing;
I am too
troubled to
speak.
Thou
holdest
mine
eyes watching:
I am so
troubled that
I
cannot
speak.
I considered the days of old, the years long
in
the
past
.
I have
considered the days of old, The years of
ancient
times
.
At
night
I remembered
my song ;
in my
heart
I mused,
and my spirit pondered:
I call
to
remembrance
my song in the
night:
I commune
with
mine
own
heart;
And my spirit maketh
diligent
search.
“
Will the Lord spurn
us
forever
and never
show
His
favor
again
?
Will the Lord cast
off
for
ever?
And will
he
be
favorable
no
more
?
Is His loving
devotion
gone forever
? Has
His promise failed
for all
time
?
Is his lovingkindness
clean
gone for
ever
? Doth
his promise fail
for evermore
?
Has
God forgotten to be gracious? Has
His
anger shut off
His compassion
? ”
Selah
Hath
God forgotten to be gracious? Hath
he
in
anger shut up
his tender
mercies
? Selah
So
I said, “
I am
grieved
that
the right hand of the Most High has
changed
. ”
And
I said, This
is
my
infirmity;
`But
I will
remember'
the years
of
the
right hand of the Most High.
I will remember
the
works
of the LORD
; yes,
I will remember Your
wonders of old.
I will make
mention
of the deeds
of
Jehovah
; For
I will remember thy
wonders of old.
I will reflect
on
all You
have
done
and ponder
Your
mighty
deeds
.
I will meditate
also
upon
all thy
work,
And muse
on
thy
doings
.
Your
way, O God, is holy.
What
god
is so
great as
our
God?
Thy
way, O God, is in
the
sanctuary:
Who
is a
great god like
unto
God
?
You
are
the God who
works
wonders ;
You
display
Your
strength among the peoples.
Thou
art
the God that
doest
wonders :
Thou
hast
made
known
thy
strength among the peoples.
With power
You
redeemed Your
people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
Thou
hast
with thine
arm
redeemed thy
people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
The waters saw You
, O God; the waters saw You
and
swirled;
even
the depths were
shaken
.
The waters saw thee
, O God; The waters saw thee,
they
were
afraid:
The depths also
trembled
.
The clouds poured down
water; the skies resounded
with
thunder;
Your
arrows flashed
back
and
forth
.
The clouds poured out
water; The skies sent
out
a
sound:
Thine
arrows also
went
abroad
.
Your
thunder resounded
in the whirlwind; the lightning
lit
up
the world ;
the earth trembled and quaked
.
The
voice
of
thy
thunder was
in the whirlwind; The lightnings
lightened
the world :
The earth trembled and shook
.
Your
path
led
through
the sea, Your
way
through
the mighty
waters, but
Your
footprints
were not to
be
found
.
Thy
way
was
in
the sea, And
thy
paths
in
the great
waters, And
thy
footsteps
were not known
.
You
led
Your
people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Thou
leddest
thy
people like a flock ,
By the hand of Moses and Aaron. Psalm
78
Maschil
of
Asaph.
