In
Judah
is
God known :
His name is great in Israel.
For
the
choirmaster.
With
stringed
instruments.
A
Psalm
of
Asaph.
A
song.
God is
known in
Judah;
His name is great in Israel.
In Salem also
is
his
tabernacle
, And
his dwelling -
place in Zion.
His
tent
is
in Salem, His dwelling place in Zion.
There he brake
the arrows of
the
bow;
The shield ,
and the
sword ,
and the
battle
. Selah
There He shattered
the flaming
arrows ,
the shield and sword and weapons
of
war
. Selah
Glorious
art
thou
`and'
excellent
, From
the
mountains of
prey
.
You
are
resplendent
with
light
, more
majestic
than
mountains filled
with
game
.
The stouthearted
are
made
a
spoil,
They have
slept
their sleep ;
And
none
of
the
men of might have
found
their
hands
.
The valiant
lie
plundered;
they sleep
their last
sleep .
No
men of might could
lift
a
hand
.
At thy
rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both chariot
and
horse are
cast
into
a
deep
sleep
.
At Your
rebuke, O God of Jacob, both horse and
rider
lie
stunned
.
Thou,
even
thou,
art
to be feared ;
And
who
may
stand
in
thy
sight
when once
thou
art
angry?
You
alone
are
to be feared .
When You
are
angry ,
who
can
stand
before
You
?
Thou
didst
cause
sentence
to
be
heard
from heaven ;
The earth feared ,
and was still ,
From heaven You
pronounced
judgment,
and
the earth feared and was still
When God arose
to judgment
, To save all the meek
of the earth. Selah
when God rose
up
to judge
, to save all the lowly
of the earth. Selah
Surely
the wrath of man shall praise thee:
The residue
of wrath shalt
thou
gird
upon
thee
.
Even
the wrath of man shall praise You;
with
the survivors
of wrath You
will
clothe
Yourself
.
Vow,
and pay
unto
Jehovah
your God :
Let all that
are
round
about
him
bring presents
unto
him that
ought
to be feared.
Make
and fulfill
your vows
to
the
LORD
your
God ;
let all the
neighboring
lands
bring tribute
to
Him who
is
to be feared.
He will
cut
off
the spirit
of princes :
He is terrible
to
the kings of the earth. Psalm
77
For
the
Chief
Musician;
after
the
manner
of
Jeduthan.
A
Psalm
of
Asaph.
He breaks
the spirits
of princes ;
He is feared
by
the kings of the earth.
