A Psalm. A song for the dedication of the temple. Of David. I will exalt You, O LORD , for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me.
> I will extol you, Yahweh , for you have raised me up , And have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
O LORD my God, I cried to You for help , and You healed me.
Yahweh my God, I cried to you, And you have healed me.
O LORD , You pulled me up from Sheol ; You spared me from descending into the Pit.
Yahweh , you have brought up my soul from Sheol . You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing to the LORD , O you His saints , and praise His holy name.
Sing praise to Yahweh , you saints of his . Give thanks to his holy name.
For His anger is fleeting, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.
For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, But joy comes in the morning.
In prosperity I said, I will never be shaken .
As for me, I said in my prosperity , " I shall never be moved . "
O LORD , You favored me ; You made my mountain stand strong. When You hid Your face, I was dismayed .
You , Yahweh, when you favored me , made my mountain to stand strong. But when you hid your face, I was troubled .
To You, O LORD, I called, and I begged my Lord for mercy :
I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication :
What gain is there in my bloodshed , in my descent to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your faithfulness ?
" What profit is there in my destruction , if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth ?
Hear me , O LORD , and have mercy ; O LORD , be my helper.
Hear, Yahweh , and have mercy on me. Yahweh , be my helper. "
You turned my mourning into dancing ; You peeled off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy ,
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth , and clothed me with gladness ,
that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks forever .
To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever !
