A
Psalm.
A
song
for
the
dedication
of
the
temple.
Of
David.
I will exalt
You
, O LORD,
for You
have
lifted
me up and have
not allowed
my foes to rejoice over me.
I will extol
thee
, O Jehovah;
for thou
hast
raised
me up ,
And hast
not made
my foes to rejoice over me.
O LORD
my God, I cried to
You
for
help
, and You
healed me.
O Jehovah
my God, I cried unto
thee
, and thou
hast
healed me.
O LORD
, You
pulled
me
up from Sheol; You
spared
me from
descending
into
the Pit.
O Jehovah
, thou
hast
brought
up my
soul
from Sheol; Thou
hast
kept
me alive,
that
I
should
not
go
down
to
the pit.
Sing to
the
LORD
, O you
His
saints, and praise
His holy name.
Sing praise
unto
Jehovah
, O ye
saints of
his
, And give
thanks
to
his holy memorial
`
name '
.
For His anger is fleeting,
but His favor lasts
a lifetime.
Weeping may stay
the night, but joy comes
in the morning.
For his anger is but for
a
moment;
His favor is
for
a life-time:
Weeping may tarry
for
the night, But joy `cometh'
in the morning.
In
prosperity
I said, “
I will
never be shaken
. ”
As
for
me,
I said in
my
prosperity
, I shall
never be moved
.
O
LORD
, You
favored
me;
You
made my mountain stand strong .
When
You
hid
Your
face ,
I was dismayed
.
Thou
, Jehovah,
of
thy
favor
hadst
made my mountain to
stand strong :
Thou
didst
hide
thy
face ;
I was troubled
.
To You
, O LORD,
I
called,
and I begged
my
Lord
for
mercy
:
I
cried
to thee
, O Jehovah;
And unto
Jehovah
I made
supplication
:
“
What gain
is there in my bloodshed
, in
my
descent
to the Pit? Will
the dust praise You
? Will
it proclaim
Your
faithfulness
?
What profit
is there in my blood
, when
I
go
down
to the pit? Shall
the dust praise thee
? shall
it declare
thy
truth
?
Hear me
, O LORD
, and have mercy ;
O
LORD
, be my helper. ”
Hear, O Jehovah
, and have mercy upon
me:
Jehovah
, be thou
my helper.
You
turned my mourning into dancing; You
peeled
off
my sackcloth and clothed
me with joy,
Thou
hast
turned for
me
my mourning into dancing; Thou
hast
loosed
my sackcloth ,
and girded
me with gladness;
that my heart
may sing Your
praises
and not be silent. O LORD
my God, I will give thanks forever
.
To
the
end
that `
my '
glory
may sing praise
to
thee,
and not be silent. O Jehovah
my God, I will give thanks unto
thee
for
ever
