My God, my God, why have
You
forsaken me? Why are
You
so far from saving
me, so
far
from my
words of groaning
?
O
my
God,
I cry in
the
day time
, but thou
hearest
not ;
and in
the
night season
, and
am
not
silent
.
I cry out
by
day, O
my
God,
but You
do
not answer,
and by
night, but
I
have
no
rest
.
But
thou
art
holy, O
thou
that
inhabitest
the praises of Israel.
Yet
You
are
holy, enthroned
on
the praises of Israel.
Our fathers trusted in
thee:
they trusted ,
and thou
didst
deliver
them.
In
You
our fathers trusted ;
they trusted and You
delivered
them.
They cried unto
thee,
and were delivered:
they trusted in thee,
and were not confounded
.
They cried out
to
You
and were set
free;
they trusted in You
and were not disappointed
.
But I am a worm ,
and no
man;
a reproach
of
men
, and despised of
the people.
But I am a worm and not
a man
, scorned
by
men
and despised by
the people.
All they
that
see me laugh
me to
scorn:
they
shoot
out

lip,

head,

He trusted

the LORD that

deliver him :
let him

rescue

He delights

But
thou
art
he
that
took
me out
of
the womb :
thou
didst
make
me hope
when

upon
my mother's
breasts

Yet
You
brought
me forth
from
the womb ;
You
made
me secure
at
my mother’s
breast
.
I was cast upon thee
from the
womb :
thou
art
my God from
my
mother's
belly
.
From
birth
I was cast upon You;
from my
mother’s
womb You
have
been
my God.
Be not far from me ;
for trouble is near ;
for
there is none
to help.

compassed
me :
strong bulls of Bashan have
beset
me round

Many bulls surround
me ;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle
me.
They gaped
upon
me
with
their mouths,
as
a
ravening
and a
roaring
lion

They open
their jaws
against
me
like
lions
that
roar
and maul
.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out
of
joint:
my heart is like wax; it is
melted
in
the
midst
of
my
bowels
.

they look

stare upon
me.
I can
count
all my bones ;
they stare and
gloat
over
me.
They part
my garments among them ,
and cast lots upon
my vesture

They divide
my garments among them and cast lots for
my clothing
.
But be
not
thou
far
from
me
, O LORD :
O my strength, haste
thee
to help me.
But You
, O LORD ,
be
not
far
off;
O my Strength, come
quickly
to help me.
Deliver my soul from the sword ;
my darling
from the power of the
dog
.

dogs

Save me from the lion's
mouth :

thou

the horns of the unicorns.

congregation

my brothers;

assembly

Ye
that
fear the LORD, praise him ;
all ye
the
seed
of Jacob, glorify
him;
and
fear
him ,
all ye
the
seed
of Israel .
You
who
fear the LORD, praise Him !
All descendants
of Jacob, honor
Him !
All offspring
of Israel ,
revere
Him!
For he hath
not despised nor
abhorred
the affliction
of the afflicted ;
neither
hath
he hid
his face from him ;
but
when
he
cried
unto
him
, he
heard
.
For He has
not despised or
detested
the torment
of the afflicted .
He has
not
hidden
His face from him, but
has
attended
to
his
cry
for
help
.
My praise shall
be
of
thee
in the great congregation:
I will pay
my vows before them
that
fear him
.
My praise for
You
resounds
in the great assembly;
I will fulfill
my vows before those
who
fear You
.
The meek
shall
eat and be satisfied :
they
shall
praise
the LORD that
seek
him :
your heart
shall
live for
ever.
The poor
will
eat and be satisfied ;
those
who
seek
the LORD will
praise
Him .
May
your hearts
live forever!
All the ends of the world
shall
remember and turn unto
the LORD :
and
all the kindreds
of the nations shall
worship
before thee
.
All the ends of the earth
will
remember and turn to
the LORD .
All the families
of the nations will
bow
down
before Him
.
For the
kingdom
is
the LORD's:
and he is
the
governor
among
the nations.
For dominion
belongs
to
the LORD
and He rules
over
the nations.
All they
that
be
fat
upon
earth shall
eat
and worship :
all they
that
go down to the dust shall
bow
before him :
and
none
can
keep
alive
his
own
soul
.
All the
rich
of
the
earth will
feast
and worship ;
all who
go down to the dust will
kneel
before Him —
even
those
unable
to
preserve
their
lives
.
A
seed
shall
serve him; it
shall
be
accounted
to
the Lord for
a generation.
Posterity
will
serve Him; they
will
declare
the Lord to
a new
generation.
They shall
come ,
and shall
declare
his righteousness unto
a people that
shall
be
born,
that he hath
done this
.
They will
come and proclaim
His righteousness to
a people yet
unborn—
all
that He has
done.
