King James Version
A
Psalm,
by
David.
O
Jehovah
, I have
called
Thee ,
haste to
me ,
Give ear `to'
my voice when I call
to
Thee.
Lord
, I cry
unto
thee :
make
haste unto
me ;
give ear unto
my voice ,
when I cry
unto
thee.
My prayer is
prepared
--
incense
before Thee ,
The lifting up of my hands --
the evening present
.
Let
my prayer be
set
forth
before thee as
incense;
and
the lifting up of my hands as
the evening sacrifice
.
Set, O Jehovah
, a
watch
for
my mouth ,
Watch
Thou
over
the door of my lips.
Set a
watch
, O LORD
, before
my mouth ;
keep
the door of my lips.
Incline not my heart to an
evil thing, To do
habitually
actions
in
wickedness,
With men working
iniquity ,
Yea,
I
eat
not of their pleasant
things
.
Incline not my heart to any
evil thing, to practise
wicked
works
with men that
work
iniquity :
and
let
me
not eat
of their dainties
.
The righteous doth
beat
me `in'
kindness .
And doth
reprove me ,
Oil of
the
head
my head disalloweth
not,
For still
my prayer `is'
about
their vexations
.
Let
the righteous smite
me ;
it
shall
be
a
kindness :
and let
him
reprove me ;
it
shall
be
an
excellent
oil ,
which
shall
not
break
my head :
for yet
my prayer also
shall
be
in
their calamities
.
Their judges have
been
released
by
the
sides
of
a
rock
, And
they have
heard
my sayings,
For they have
been
pleasant
.
When
their judges are
overthrown
in
stony
places
, they shall
hear
my words;
for they are
sweet
.
As
one
tilling
and
ripping
up
in
the
land,
Have
our bones been
scattered at the command
of
Saul
.
Our bones are
scattered at the grave's
mouth,
as
when
one
cutteth
and
cleaveth
wood
upon
the
earth
.
But to
Thee, O Jehovah,
my
Lord ,
`are'
mine
eyes,
In Thee I
have
trusted,
Make
not bare
my soul.
But mine
eyes
are
unto
thee, O GOD
the
Lord :
in thee is
my
trust;
leave
not my soul destitute
.
Keep me from the gin
they laid for me, Even
snares
of workers of iniquity.
Keep me from the snares
which
they have
laid for me, and
the
gins
of the
workers of iniquity.
The wicked fall in
their nets together
, till
I pass
over!
Let
the wicked fall into
their own
nets, whilst
that
I withal
escape.
