Berean Standard Bible
In the LORD put
I my
trust:
how say ye
to my
soul,
Flee as
a bird to your mountain ?
For
the
choirmaster.
Of
David.
In the LORD I take
refuge.
How then
can
you
say to me:
“
Flee like
a bird to your mountain !
For ,
lo
, the wicked bend their bow,
they make
ready
their arrow upon
the string ,
that
they
may
privily
shoot at the upright in heart.
For behold
, the wicked bend their bows.
They set
their arrow on
the string to
shoot from
the
shadows
at the upright in heart.
If the foundations be
destroyed, what can the righteous do?
If the foundations are
destroyed, what can the righteous do? ”
The LORD is in his holy temple ,
the LORD's
throne
is in
heaven:
his eyes
behold,
his eyelids
try,
the children
of men.
The LORD is in His holy temple ;
the LORD
is on
His heavenly
throne.
His eyes
are
watching
closely;
they
examine
the sons
of men.
The LORD trieth
the righteous :
but
the wicked and
him
that
loveth
violence
his soul hateth
.
The LORD tests
the righteous and
the wicked ;
His soul hates
the
lover
of
violence
.
Upon
the wicked he shall
rain snares,
fire
and
brimstone,
and an
horrible
tempest:
this
shall
be the
portion
of
their cup
.
On
the wicked He will
rain down
fiery
coals
and sulfur;
a
scorching
wind
will
be their portion
.
For the righteous
LORD loveth
righteousness
; his
countenance
doth
behold
the upright.
For the LORD is
righteous
; He
loves
justice.
The upright will
see
His
face
.
