Call understanding your relative

call understanding your kinsman
,
That they may keep you from the strange
woman
, From the foreigner
who
flatters
with her
words.

with seductive
words.
For at the window of my house ,

I have decked
my bed
with coverings

linen

I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

stepping
into a noose.
He follows
her on
impulse

an ox going

a deer
bounding
into a trap,
Until an arrow strikes
through
his liver, As
a bird hurries
to
the
snare ,
And
doesn't
know
that
it will cost his life.
until an arrow pierces

a bird darting
into
a
snare —
not
knowing
it will cost him
his life.
Now therefore
, sons, listen to me .
Pay
attention
to the words of my mouth.
Now, my

attend
to the words of my mouth.
Don't
let your heart turn to her ways .
Don't
go
astray
in
her paths ,
Do
not
let your heart turn aside
to her ways ;
do
not
stray
into
her paths .
For she has thrown
down
many wounded.
Yes,
all
her slain are a
mighty
host
.
For she has brought
many down
to
death;
her slain are many
in
number
.
Her house is the way
to Sheol, Going
down
to the chambers of death.
Her house is the road
to Sheol, descending
to the chambers of death.
