Balances

deceit

pride comes
, disgrace
follows
, but
with humility
comes
wisdom.
Pride hath
come
, and
shame
cometh
, And
with the
lowly
`is'
wisdom.
The integrity of the upright guides
them, but
the perversity
of the faithless
destroys
them.
The integrity of the upright leadeth
them, And
the perverseness
of the treacherous
destroyeth
them.
Riches
are
worthless
in the
day of wrath, but
righteousness brings
deliverance
from death.
Wealth
profiteth
not
in a
day of wrath, And
righteousness delivereth
from death.
The righteousness of the blameless
directs
their
path
, but
the wicked fall by
their
own
wickedness
.
The righteousness of the perfect
maketh
right
his
way
, And
by
his
wickedness
doth
the wicked fall.
The righteousness of the upright delivers
them, but
the faithless
are trapped
by
their
own
desires
.

mischief

the wicked man dies

hope perishes

drawn

With the mouth

hypocrite
corrupteth
his friend

knowledge the righteous are drawn

thrive,
the city rejoices
, and when
the wicked
perish,
there
are
shouts
of joy
.
In
the good
of
the righteous
a
city exulteth
, And in
the destruction
of the
wicked

singing
.
By the blessing of the upright a city is
built
up
, but
by the mouth of the wicked it
is
torn
down.
By the blessing of the upright is
a city exalted
, And
by the mouth of the wicked thrown
down.
Whoever
shows
contempt
for
his neighbor
lacks
judgment
, but
a man of understanding remains
silent
.
Whoso
is
despising
his neighbour
lacketh
heart
, And
a man of understanding keepeth
silence
.
A gossip
reveals
a
secret, but
a
trustworthy
person
keeps
a
confidence
.
A busybody
is
revealing
secret counsel
, And
the
faithful
of
spirit
is
covering
the
matter
.
For
lack
of
guidance,
a nation
falls
, but
with
many
counselors
comes
deliverance.
Without
counsels
do
a people
fall
, And
deliverance `is'
in
a
multitude
of
counsellors
.
He who
puts
up
security
for a stranger will
surely
suffer
, but
the
one
who
hates
indebtedness
is secure
.
Evil
`one'
suffereth
when
he hath
been
surety

a stranger, And
whoso
is hating
suretyship
is
confident
.
A gracious woman attains
honor
, but
ruthless
men gain
only
wealth
.
A gracious woman retaineth
honour
, And
terrible

retain
riches
.
A kind man benefits
himself
, but
a
cruel
man
brings
trouble
on
himself
.
A kind man is
rewarding
his
own
soul
, And
the
fierce
is
troubling
his
own
flesh
.
The wicked man
earns
an
empty
wage, but
he
who
sows
righteousness reaps
a true reward.
The wicked is
getting
a
lying
wage, And
whoso
is
sowing
righteousness --
a true reward.
Genuine
righteousness leads
to
life, but
the
pursuit
of
evil brings
death.
Rightly
`is'
righteousness for
life, And
whoso
is
pursuing
evil --
for
his
own
death.
The
perverse
in
heart
are
an abomination to the LORD

The desire of the righteous leads

good, but
the hope of the wicked brings
wrath

transgression

One
gives
freely
, yet gains
even
more;
another
withholds
what
is right
, only to become
poor
.
There
is
who
is
scattering
, and
yet is increased
, And
who

keeping
back
from
uprightness,
only to want

A generous
soul will
prosper
, and he who
refreshes
others
will
himself
be
refreshed
.
A liberal
soul is
made
fat
, And whoso
is
watering,
he also
is
watered
.
The people will
curse
the
hoarder
of
grain

blessing will
crown
the one
who sells
it
.
Whoso

withholding
corn,
the people execrate
him

for
the head
of

selling

He
who
searches

good finds
favor

evil will

seeks
it.

earnestly
seeking
good Seeketh

pleasing

trusts
in his riches
will
fall

the righteous will
thrive

foliage

Whoso

confident
in his wealth

falleth

as

leaf,
the righteous flourish

He

brings
trouble
on
his house will
inherit
the
wind, and the fool will
be
servant
to the wise of heart.
Whoso
is
troubling
his own
house inheriteth
wind, And a

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he
who
wins
souls is wise.
The fruit of the righteous `

If
the righteous receive
their
due
on
earth, how
much
more
the ungodly
and the sinner!
Lo,
the righteous in
the
earth is
recompensed
, Surely
also
the wicked
and the sinner!
