in Jerusalem :
the rest of the people also
cast lots ,
to bring one of ten to dwell
in Jerusalem
the holy city, and
nine parts
in the
[other]
cities
.
Now
the leaders
of the people settled
in Jerusalem ,
and
the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out
of ten to live
in the holy city of
Jerusalem
, while
the
remaining
nine were
to
dwell
in their
own
towns
.
The people blessed all the men who willingly
offered
themselves
to dwell
in Jerusalem.
And
the people blessed all the men who volunteered
to live
in Jerusalem.
Now
these are the chiefs
of the province
who lived
in Jerusalem :
but
in the cities
of Judah lived everyone
in
his possession
in their cities,
[to
wit],
Israel,
the priests, and
the
Levites, and
the
Nethinim
, and the
children
of Solomon's
servants .
These are the heads
of the provinces
who settled
in Jerusalem .

In the villages
of Judah ,
however,
each
lived on
his own
property
in their towns—
the Israelites,
priests, Levites, temple
servants
, and descendants
of Solomon’s
servants —
In
Jerusalem
lived
certain
of the children
of Judah ,
and of
the
children
of
Benjamin. Of
the children
of Judah: Athaiah the
son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of
the
children
of Perez;
while
some
of the descendants
of Judah and Benjamin settled
in
Jerusalem
. )

.

Moreover

And
the gatekeepers:

The residue
of
Israel,
of the priests
, the Levites, were in all the cities
of Judah, everyone
in
his inheritance.
The rest
of the Israelites
, with
the priests
and
Levites, were in all the villages
of Judah, each
on
his own
inheritance.
But
the Nethinim
lived in
Ophel :
and
Ziha and Gishpa were
over the
Nethinim
.
The temple
servants
lived on
the
hill
of
Ophel ,
with
Ziha and Gishpa over them
.
The overseer also
of the Levites at
Jerusalem was Uzzi the
son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica ,
of
the
sons
of Asaph
, the singers ,
over
the business
of the house of God.
Now
the overseer of the Levites in
Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica .
He
was
one
of Asaph’s
descendants
, who
were
the singers in
charge
of
the service
of the house of God.
For there was a commandment
from the king concerning them,
and
a
settled
provision
for
the singers, as
every
day
required
.
For there was a command
from the king concerning the singers, an
ordinance
regulating
their
daily
activities
.
Pethahiah the
son of Meshezabel, of
the
children
of Zerah the
son of Judah, was at
the king's
hand
in all
matters
concerning the people.

concerning the people.
As for the villages ,

pelet ;
and
in Hazar Shual ,
and
in Beersheba and the
towns
of
it,
in Hazar -
shual ;
in Beersheba and its
villages;
and
in Ziklag ,
and
in Meconah and in
the
towns
of
it,
in Ziklag ;
in Meconah and its
villages;
and
in En-rimmon, and
in
Zorah, and
in
Jarmuth,
in En-rimmon, Zorah, Jarmuth,
Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages ,
Lachish and the
fields of
it,
Azekah and the
towns
of
it
. So they encamped
from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.

the

to the Valley of Hinnom.
The children
of Benjamin also
[lived]
from Geba [onward],
at
Michmash and

The descendants
of Benjamin from Geba lived
in
Michmash ,
Aija, and Bethel with
its
villages;
at
Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
in
Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
Lod, and Ono ,
the valley of craftsmen.

and
in
the Valley of the

Of the Levites ,
certain
divisions
in
Judah [were
joined]
to
Benjamin.
And
some
divisions
of the Levites of
Judah settled
in
Benjamin.
