the multitudes, he went up to

mount,
and he having
sat
down
, his disciples came to
him ,
And seeing
the multitudes, he went up into
a
mountain:
and when
he was
set
, his disciples came unto
him :
and having
opened his mouth, he
was
teaching
them, saying :
And he
opened his mouth, and
taught
them, saying ,
`Happy
the poor in spirit --
because
theirs is the reign
of the
heavens
.
Blessed
are
the poor in spirit :
for
theirs is the kingdom
of heaven
.
`Happy
the
mourning
--
because
they shall be comforted.
Blessed
are
they that
mourn:
for
they
shall be comforted.
`Happy
the meek --
because
they shall inherit the land
.
Blessed
are
the meek :
for
they shall inherit the earth
.
`Happy
those
hungering
and thirsting
for
righteousness --
because
they shall be filled.
Blessed
are
they
which
do
hunger
and thirst
after
righteousness :
for
they shall be filled.
`Happy
the kind
--
because
they shall find
kindness
.
Blessed

the merciful:

they shall obtain
mercy

in heart --

they shall see God.

they shall be called Sons
of God.

reproach
you, and may
persecute, and may
say any
evil thing
against you falsely for my sake --

great

they persecute

persecuted

Ye are the salt of the land,
but if the salt may
lose
savour, in
what
shall it be salted? for
nothing
is
it good henceforth
, except
to be cast without
, and to be trodden down
by
men.

thenceforth
good for
nothing

to be cast out

one of these commands

least --
and may
teach men so, least
he shall be called in the reign

but whoever
may
do and may

shall be called great in the reign
of the
heavens

Whosoever
therefore shall
break
one of these least commandments,
and shall
teach men so, he shall be called the
least
in the kingdom
of heaven:
but whosoever
shall
do and teach them, the
same
shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven

For I say to
you, that if
your righteousness may
not
abound
above
that
of the scribes and Pharisees, ye may
not
enter to
the reign
of the
heavens

For I say unto
you, That except
your righteousness shall
exceed
the
righteousness
of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall
in
no
case
enter into
the kingdom
of heaven
.

kill shall be in danger of the judgment ;

say to
you, that every
one
who
is angry at
his brother without cause ,
shall be in danger of the judgment ,
and whoever
may
say to his brother, Empty
fellow!
shall be in danger of the sanhedrim,
and
whoever
may
say, Rebel!
shall be in danger of the
gehenna
of
the
fire.
But I say unto
you, That whosoever
is angry with
his brother without a
cause shall be in danger of the judgment :
and whosoever
shall
say to his brother, Raca,
shall be in danger of the council:
but
whosoever
shall
say, Thou
fool,
shall be in danger of hell
fire.
`If,
therefore ,
thou mayest
bring thy gift to the altar, and there mayest
remember
that thy brother hath anything
against thee ,
Therefore if
thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest
that thy brother hath ought
against thee ;
leave there thy gift before the altar, and go --
first be reconciled to thy brother, and then having
come bring
thy gift.

agreeing
with thy
opponent
quickly, while
thou art in the way with him ,

lest

say to
you, that every
one

is
looking
on a woman to desire
her ,

already
commit
adultery with her in his heart.
But I say unto
you, That whosoever
looketh
on a woman to lust
after
her hath
committed
adultery with her already
in his heart.
`But,
if thy right eye doth
cause
thee to
stumble
, pluck it out and cast from thee ,
for it is good
to
thee that one of thy members may
perish, and not thy whole body be cast to
gehenna
.
And
if thy right eye offend
thee, pluck it out ,
and cast it
from thee :
for it is profitable
for
thee that one of thy members should
perish, and not that
thy whole body should
be cast into
hell
.

you, That whosoever
shall

of fornication
, causeth
her to commit adultery :
and whosoever
shall
marry her that

divorced
committeth
adultery.

Thou shalt not swear
falsely
, but thou
shalt pay
to
the Lord thine oaths ;
Again, ye have
heard that it hath
been
said by
them
of
old
time,
Thou shalt not forswear
thyself
, but shalt perform
unto
the Lord thine oaths :
but I --
I
say to
you, not
to
swear at all; neither by the
heaven ,
because
it is the
throne of
God,
But I say unto
you, Swear not
at all; neither by heaven ;
for
it is God's
throne :
nor by the earth ,
because
it is His footstool ,
nor
by Jerusalem ,
because
it is a
city of a
great king ,
Nor by the earth ;
for
it is his footstool :
neither
by Jerusalem ;
for
it is the
city of the
great King .
nor
by thy head mayest
thou
swear
, because thou art
not able
one hair to
make
white or black ;
Neither
shalt
thou
swear
by thy head, because thou canst
not make
one hair white or black .
but let your word
be, Yes,
Yes,
No
, No
, and
that
which
is more than these is
of the
evil.
But let your communication
be, Yea
, yea;
Nay
, nay:
for
whatsoever
is more than these cometh
of evil.

Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth ;
Ye have
heard that it hath
been
said ,
An
eye for an
eye, and a
tooth for a
tooth :
but I --

say to
you, not
to
resist the
evil ,
but whoever
shall slap
thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also
the other ;
But I say unto
you, That
ye
resist not
evil :
but whosoever
shall smite
thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
and whoever
is
willing
to
take
thee to
law, and thy coat to
take
--
suffer
to
him also
the
cloak.
And if
any
man
will
sue
thee at
the
law, and take
away
thy coat ,
let
him have
thy
cloak also
.
`
And whoever
shall impress
thee one
mile, go with him two,
And whosoever
shall compel
thee to
go
a
mile, go with him twain.
to him who
is
asking
of
thee be
giving
, and him who
is
willing
to
borrow from
thee thou
mayest
not
turn away.
Give
to him that
asketh
thee, and from
him that
would
borrow of
thee turn not
thou
away.

Thou shalt love thy neighbor
, and shalt
hate thine enemy ;
Ye have
heard that it hath
been
said ,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour
, and hate thine enemy .
but I --
I
say to
you, Love your enemies, bless those
cursing
you, do good to those
hating
you, and pray for those
accusing
you falsely
, and persecuting
you ,
But I say unto
you, Love your enemies, bless them
that
curse
you, do good to them
that
hate
you, and pray for them
which
despitefully
use
you, and persecute
you ;
that ye may be sons
of your Father in the
heavens,
because
His sun He
doth
cause
to rise on evil and good, and He
doth
send
rain on righteous
and unrighteous
.
That ye may be the
children
of your Father which
is
in heaven:
for
he
maketh
his sun to rise on the
evil and on
the
good, and sendeth
rain on the
just
and on
the
unjust
.

For ,
if ye may
love those
loving
you, what reward have ye? do not also
the tax-gatherers
the same?
For if ye love them
which
love
you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans
the same?
and if ye may
salute your brethren only, what do ye abundant
? do not also
the tax-gatherers
so?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more
than
others
? do not even
the publicans
so?
ye shall
therefore be
perfect, as your Father who

is perfect.
Be
ye therefore perfect, even
as your Father which
is in heaven
