They came to
the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
And
they came over
unto
the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
When he had
come out of the boat
, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
And
when he was
come out of the ship
, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
who had his dwelling in
the tombs .
Nobody
could bind him any
more
, not even
with chains ,
Who had his dwelling among
the tombs ;
and
no
man
could bind him, no,
not with chains :
because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn
apart
by him, and the fetters broken in pieces .
Nobody
had
the
strength
to
tame him.
Because that
he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked
asunder
by him, and the fetters broken in pieces :
neither
could
any
man
tame him.
Always, night and day, in the tombs
and in the mountains
, he
was
crying out
, and cutting himself with stones.
And
always, night and day, he
was
in the mountains,
and in the tombs
, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
When he saw Jesus from
afar, he ran and bowed
down
to
him,
But
when he saw Jesus afar off
, he ran and worshipped
him,
and crying
out
with a loud voice, he
said, "
What have I to do with you
, Jesus, you
Son of the Most High God? I adjure you
by God, don't
torment me. "
And cried
with a loud voice, and
said, What have I to do with thee
, Jesus, thou
Son of the most high God? I adjure thee
by God, that
thou
torment me not
.
For he said to
him, "
Come out of the man, you
unclean spirit !"
For he said unto
him, Come out of the man, thou
unclean spirit .
He asked him, "
What is your
name? "
He said
to
him
, "
My name is Legion ,
for we are many. "
And
he asked him, What is thy
name? And
he answered
, saying,
My name is Legion :
for we are many.
He begged
him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
And
he besought
him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
Now there was on
the mountainside
a great herd of pigs
feeding.
Now there was there
nigh
unto
the mountains
a great herd of swine
feeding.
All the demons
begged
him, saying, "
Send us into the pigs
, that we may enter into them. "
And
all the devils
besought
him, saying, Send us into the swine
, that we may enter into them.
At
once
Jesus gave them permission
. The unclean spirits came
out and entered into the pigs.
The herd of
about
two
thousand
rushed
down the
steep bank
into the sea, and
they were drowned
in the sea.
And
forthwith
Jesus gave them leave
. And
the unclean spirits went
out ,
and entered into the swine:
and
the herd ran
violently
down a
steep place
into the sea, (
they were about
two
thousand;)
and
were
choked
in the sea.
Those
who
fed them
fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The
people
came
to see what it was that had
happened
.
And
they
that
fed the
swine
fled, and told it in the city ,
and in the country. And
they
went
out
to see what it was that was
done
.
They came
to Jesus, and saw
him who
had
been
possessed by
demons
sitting, clothed, and in his right mind ,
even
him
who
had
the
legion;
and they were afraid.
And
they come
to Jesus, and see
him that
was
possessed with
the
devil,
and
had
the
legion,
sitting, and
clothed, and in his right mind :
and they were afraid.
Those
who
saw it declared
to
them how it happened
to him who
was possessed by
demons
, and about
the pigs
.
And
they
that
saw it told
them how it befell
to him that
was possessed with
the
devil
, and also
concerning
the swine
.
They began to beg
him to depart from
their region
.
And
they began to pray
him to depart out
of
their coasts
.
As
he was entering
into the boat
, he who
had been possessed by
demons
begged
him that he might be with him.
And
when
he was come
into the ship
, he that
had been possessed with
the
devil
prayed
him that he might be with him.
He
didn't
allow
him, but said
to
him, "
Go to
your
house,
to your
friends, and tell them what
great things the Lord has
done for you
, and how
he
had mercy
on you
. "
Howbeit
Jesus
suffered
him not
, but saith
unto
him, Go home
to thy
friends, and tell them how
great things the Lord hath
done for thee
, and hath
had compassion
on thee
.
He went
his
way
, and began to proclaim
in Decapolis how Jesus had done great
things
for him ,
and everyone
marveled
.
And
he departed
, and began to publish
in Decapolis how great
things
Jesus had done for him :
and all
men
did
marvel
.
When Jesus had
crossed
back
over in
the
boat
to
the other side, a
great
multitude
was
gathered to
him ;
and he was by
the sea.
And
when Jesus was
passed
over again
by
ship
unto
the other side, much
people
gathered unto
him :
and he was nigh
unto
the sea.
Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name ,
came
; and seeing
him, he fell at his feet,
And,
behold, there
cometh
one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when
he
saw
him, he fell at his feet,
and begged
him much
, saying, "
My little daughter is
at the point of death .
Please
come and lay your
hands on her, that she may be made
healthy,
and live. "
And besought
him greatly
, saying, My little daughter lieth
at the point of death :
I
pray
thee,
come and lay thy
hands on her, that she may be healed;
and she
shall
live.
He
went with him ,
and a
great
multitude
followed him, and they
pressed
upon
him on
all
sides
.
And
Jesus
went with him ;
and much
people
followed him, and thronged
him.
A certain woman, who
had an issue of blood for
twelve years,
And
a certain woman, which

better
, but rather grew worse,

be whole
.
Immediately
the flow
of her blood was dried up ,
and she felt in her body that she was healed of her
affliction
.
And
straightway
the fountain
of her blood was dried up ;
and she felt in her body that she was healed of that
plague
.
Immediately
Jesus, perceiving
in himself that the
power
had gone out from
him, turned around
in the crowd
, and asked
, "
Who touched my clothes? "
And
Jesus, immediately
knowing
in himself that virtue
had gone out of
him, turned him
about
in the press
, and said
, Who touched my clothes?
His disciples said to
him, "You
see
the multitude pressing
against
you
, and you
say
, '
Who touched me? '"
And
his disciples said unto
him, Thou
seest
the multitude thronging
thee
, and sayest
thou
, Who touched me?
He looked around
to see her who
had done this thing.
And
he looked round
about
to see her that
had done this thing.
But the woman ,
fearing and trembling, knowing what had
been
done to
her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

He said to
her, "
Daughter, your
faith has
made you
well.
Go in peace, and be cured
of your
disease
. "
And
he said unto
her, Daughter, thy
faith hath

whole;

.
While he was
still
speaking
, they
came from the synagogue
ruler's
house saying
, "Your
daughter is dead .
Why bother
the Teacher
any more
? "
While he yet
spake
, there
came from the ruler
of
the
synagogue's
house certain
which
said
, Thy
daughter is dead :
why troublest
thou
the Master
any further
?
But
Jesus ,
when
he
heard the message
spoken, immediately
said
to
the ruler of the synagogue, "Don't
be afraid, only believe. "
As
soon
as
Jesus heard the word
that
was
spoken, he
saith
unto
the ruler of the synagogue, Be not
afraid, only believe.
He allowed
no one
to follow him, except
Peter, James, and John the brother of James.
And
he suffered
no man
to follow him, save
Peter, and
James, and John the brother of James.
He came
to the synagogue
ruler's
house, and he
saw
an
uproar,
weeping
, and great
wailing
.
And
he cometh
to the house of
the
ruler
of
the
synagogue
, and seeth
the
tumult
, and them
that
wept
and
wailed
greatly
.
When he had
entered
in, he said
to
them, "
Why do
you
make an
uproar
and weep? The child
is not dead, but is
asleep
. "
And
when he was
come
in, he saith
unto
them, Why make ye
this
ado,
and weep? the damsel
is not dead, but sleepeth
.
They ridiculed
him. But he ,
having
put them all out, took
the father of
the
child
and her
mother and those
who
were with him, and went
in where the child
was lying.
And
they laughed
him to
scorn
. But when
he had
put them all out, he
taketh
the father and the
mother of
the
damsel,
and them
that
were with him, and entereth
in where the damsel
was lying.
Taking
the child
by the hand, he
said to
her, "
Talitha cumi; "
which means
, being interpreted, "Girl
, I tell
you
, get
up
. "
And
he
took
the damsel
by the hand, and
said unto
her, Talitha cumi; which is
, being interpreted, Damsel
, I say
unto
thee
, arise
.
Immediately
the girl
rose
up
, and walked ,
for she was twelve years old
. They were amazed
with great amazement
.
And
straightway
the damsel
arose
, and walked ;
for she was of
the
age
of
twelve years. And
they were astonished
with a
great astonishment
.
He strictly
ordered
them that no one
should know this,
and commanded that something should be given to
her to eat.
And
he charged
them straitly
that no man
should know it;
and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
