As Jesus
was
leaving
the temple, one of His disciples said
to Him, “
Teacher, look
at
the
magnificent
stones and buildings! ”
And
as he
is
going
forth
out
of
the temple, one of his disciples saith
to him, `
Teacher, see!
what
stones !
and what
buildings! '
“Do
you
see
all
these great buildings? ”
Jesus
replied.
“
Not one
stone
here
will
be left on
another;
every
one
will
be thrown down. ”
and
Jesus
answering
said
to
him,
`Seest
thou
these great buildings? there
may
not be left a
stone
upon
a
stone,
that
may
not
be thrown down. '
While
Jesus
was
sitting on
the Mount of Olives opposite
the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked
Him privately
,
And
as
he
is
sitting at
the mount of the
Olives ,
over-against
the temple, Peter, and
James, and
John, and Andrew ,
were
questioning
him by
himself
,
“
Tell us ,
when will
these things happen
? And what will
be
the sign that
they
are
about to be fulfilled? ”
`
Tell us when these things shall
be
? and what `is'
the sign when
all
these
may
be
about to be fulfilled? '
Jesus began
by
telling
them, “See
to it
that
no
one deceives
you .
And
Jesus answering
them, began
to say,
`Take
heed
lest
any
one may
lead
you astray,
Many will
come in My name, claiming,
‘
I am He, ’
and will
deceive
many .
for
many shall
come in my name, saying
--
I am `
he '
, and many they
shall
lead
astray;
When you
hear of wars and rumors
of wars, do
not
be alarmed.
These things
must
happen
, but the end is still
to
come.
and
when ye
may
hear of wars and reports
of wars, be not
troubled,
for
these behove
to
be
, but the end `
is '
not
yet;
Nation will
rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom .
There will
be earthquakes in various
places, as
well
as
famines .
These
are
the
beginning
of birth
pains
.
for
nation shall
rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom ,
and
there shall
be earthquakes in divers
places, and
there
shall
be
famines and
troubles;
beginnings
of sorrows
`are'
these
.
So
be
on
your
guard.
You will
be
delivered
over
to the
councils
and beaten
in
the
synagogues .
On
My
account
you
will
stand
before governors and kings as
witnesses
to them .
`And
take
ye
heed
to
yourselves,
for
they
shall
deliver
you up
to sanhedrims,
and to
synagogues ,
ye
shall
be
beaten,
and
before governors and kings ye
shall
be
set
for
my
sake,
for
a
testimony
to them ;
And the
gospel
must
first
be
proclaimed
to all the nations.
and to all the nations it
behoveth
first
that
the
good
news
be
proclaimed
.
But
when they arrest
you
and
hand
you over
, do
not worry
beforehand what to
say.
Instead,
speak whatever you
are
given at
that time
, for it will
not be
you
speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
`And
when they may
lead
you, delivering
up,
be
not anxious
beforehand what ye
may
speak ,
nor
premeditate,
but
whatever may
be
given to
you
in
that hour
, that
speak
ye,
for it is
not ye
who
are
speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
Brother will
betray
brother to death, and a
father his
child .
Children will
rise against their
parents and have
them
put to death .
`And
brother shall
deliver
up
brother to death, and father child ,
and
children shall
rise up
against parents ,
and shall
put them
to death ,
You
will
be hated by everyone
because of My name, but the
one
who perseveres
to the end will
be saved.
and
ye
shall
be hated by all
because of my name, but he
who hath
endured
to the end --
he
shall
be saved.
So
when you
see the abomination of desolation standing where it should
not be
(let the
reader
understand), then let
those who
are
in Judea flee to the mountains .
`And
when ye
may
see the abomination of the
desolation ,
that
was
spoken
of
by
Daniel
the
prophet,
standing where it ought
not ,
( whoever
is
reading
let him
understand), then those in Judea ,
let
them
flee to the mountains ;
Let no
one
on
the housetop
go
back
inside
to retrieve
anything from
his house .
and
he
upon
the
house-top,
let him
not
come
down
to
the house,
nor
come
in
to take
anything out
of
his house ;
And let
no
one
in the field return
for
his cloak
.
and he
who
is
in the field ,
let
him
not
turn
to
the
things
behind,
to
take
up
his garment
.
How
miserable
those days
will
be
for
pregnant
and nursing
mothers!
`And
wo
to
those with
child,
and to
those
giving
suck,
in
those
days;
Pray that this
will
not occur
in the
winter .
and
pray ye
that your
flight
may
not be
in winter ,
For those will
be
days of
tribulation unmatched
from the beginning of God’s
creation until
now, and never
to
be seen
again.
for those days shall
be
tribulation ,
such
as
hath
not
been
from the beginning of the
creation that
God
created,
till
now, and may
not
be ;
If the Lord had
not cut
short
those
days, nobody
would
be
saved .
But for
the
sake
of the elect
, whom He has
chosen
, He has
cut
them
short
.
and
if the Lord did
not shorten
the
days, no
flesh
had
been
saved ;
but because
of the chosen
, whom He did
choose
to
Himself
, He did
shorten
the
days
.
At
that
time
if anyone
says
to you, ‘Look
, here is the Christ !’
or ‘
There He
is!’
do
not believe it.
`And
then,
if any
may
say
to you, Lo
, here `
is '
the Christ ,
or ,
Lo,
there ,
ye
may
not believe ;
For false Christs and false prophets will
appear
and perform
signs and wonders that
would
deceive
even
the
elect
, if that
were
possible .
for there
shall
rise
false Christs and false prophets ,
and they
shall
give
signs and wonders, to
seduce,
if possible ,
also
the
chosen;
So
be
on
your
guard
; I have told
you everything
in
advance
.
and
ye,
take
heed
; lo,
I have foretold
you all
things
.
But in those days, after that tribulation :
‘
The sun will
be darkened, and the moon will
not give its
light ;
`
But in those days, after that tribulation ,
the sun shall
be darkened, and the moon shall
not give her
light ,
the stars will
fall
from
the sky
, and the powers of
the heavens will
be shaken. ’
and
the stars of
the heaven
shall
be
falling
, and the powers that
are
in
the heavens shall
be shaken.
At
that
time
they will
see the Son of Man coming in the
clouds with great
power and glory .
`And
then
they shall
see the Son of Man coming in clouds with much
power and glory ,
And He will
send out
the
angels
to
gather His elect
from the four winds, from the ends
of the earth to
the ends
of heaven.
and then
he shall
send his
messengers,
and
gather together
his chosen
from the four winds, from the end
of the earth unto
the end
of heaven.
Now
learn
this
lesson
from the fig tree: As
soon
as
its
branches
become tender and sprout
leaves, you
know that summer
is near.
`And
from the fig -
tree learn
ye
the
simile
: when
the
branch
may
already
become tender ,
and may
put
forth
the
leaves, ye
know that nigh
is the
summer;
So also, when you
see
these things
happening
, know that He
is near
, right
at the door
.
so ye,
also, when these ye
may
see
coming
to
pass
, ye
know that it
is nigh
, at the doors
.
Truly
I tell
you, this generation will
not pass away until
all these things have
happened.
Verily
I say
to
you, that
this generation may
not pass away till
all these things may
come
to
pass;
Heaven and earth will
pass away, but My words will
never
pass away.
the
heaven and the
earth shall
pass away, but my words shall
not
pass away.
No
one
knows
about
that day or
hour ,
not even the angels
in heaven, nor
the Son ,
but
only
the Father.
`And
concerning
that day and
the
hour no
one
hath
known
--
not even the messengers
who
are
in the
heaven, not
even
the Son --
except
the Father.
Be
on
your
guard
and stay
alert!
For you
do
not know
when the appointed
time will
come.
Take
heed,
watch
and pray,
for ye
have
not known
when the time is;
It
is
like
a man going
on
a
journey
who left his house, put
each
servant
in
charge
of
his own
task
, and instructed
the
doorkeeper
to keep
watch .
as
a man who is
gone
abroad,
having
left his house, and
given
to
his servants
the
authority
, and to each
one
his
work,
did
command
also
the
porter
that
he
may
watch ;
Therefore
keep
watch, because
you
do
not know
when the master
of the house will
return—whether
in
the
evening
, at midnight, when
the
rooster
crows
, or in
the morning .
watch ye
, therefore,
for
ye
have
not known
when the lord
of the house doth
come
, at even,
or
at
midnight, or
at
cock-crowing
, or at
the morning ;
Otherwise
, he may arrive
without
notice
and
find you sleeping .
lest
, having
come
suddenly,
he may find you sleeping ;
And what I say to you, I say to everyone:
Keep
watch !”
and what I say to you, I say to all,
Watch .'
