Then
the
LORD
said
to Moses,
Yahweh
spoke
to Moses, saying,
“
Speak to the whole
congregation of Israel and tell them :
Be holy because
I ,
the
LORD
your God ,
am holy.
"
Speak to all
the congregation of the
children
of
Israel ,
and tell them ,
'You
shall
be holy ;
for
I Yahweh
your God am holy.
Each of you must
respect his mother and father ,
and
you must
keep My Sabbaths. I am the
LORD
your God.
"'
Each one
of you shall
respect his mother and his
father .
You shall
keep my Sabbaths. I am Yahweh
your God.
Do
not
turn to idols or
make for
yourselves
molten gods. I am the
LORD
your God.
"'Don't
turn to idols ,
nor
make molten gods for
yourselves
. I am Yahweh
your God.
When you sacrifice
a peace offering
to the
LORD
, you shall offer it for
your
acceptance
.
"'
When you offer
a sacrifice
of
peace offerings
to Yahweh
, you shall offer it so
that
you
may
be
accepted
.
It shall be eaten on
the day you sacrifice
it, or
on the next day ;
but
what
remains on
the third day must
be burned up
.
It shall be eaten the same
day you offer
it, and
on the next day :
and
if
anything
remains until
the third day ,
it
shall
be burned with
fire
.
If any
of
it is eaten on the third day, it is tainted
and
will not be accepted .
If it is eaten at
all
on the third day, it is an
abomination.
It
will not be accepted ;
Whoever
eats it will
bear his iniquity, for
he has profaned what
is
holy
to
the LORD.
That person
must
be cut off from his people.
but
everyone
who
eats it shall
bear his iniquity, because
he has profaned the holy
thing
of
Yahweh,
and
that soul
shall
be cut off from his people.
When you reap the harvest of your land, you are
not to
reap to
the very
edges
of your field or
gather the gleanings of your harvest.
"'
When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall
not wholly
reap the corners
of your field ,
neither
shall
you
gather the gleanings of your harvest.
You must
not strip
your vineyard bare
or
gather its
fallen grapes .
Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the
LORD
your God.
You shall
not glean
your vineyard ,
neither
shall
you
gather the
fallen grapes of
your
vineyard;
you
shall
leave them for the poor and for
the foreigner. I am Yahweh
your God.
You must
not steal .
You must
not
lie or
deceive
one another.
"'
You shall
not steal ;
neither
shall
you deal
falsely,
nor
lie to
one another.
You must
not swear falsely
by My name and so
profane the name of your God. I am the
LORD
.
"'
You shall
not swear by my name falsely,
and profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh
.
You must
not defraud
your neighbor or
rob him. You
must
not
withhold
until
morning
the wages due
a hired hand
.
"'
You shall
not oppress
your neighbor ,
nor
rob him. The wages of
a hired servant
shall
not
remain
with
you
all
night
until
the
morning
.
You must
not curse the deaf or
place
a stumbling block before the blind ,
but you shall fear your God. I am the
LORD
.
"'
You shall

You must
not
pervert
justice;
you must
not show
partiality
to the poor or
favoritism to the rich
; you are
to
judge your neighbor fairly
.

You shall

injustice
in
judgment:
you shall
not be
partial
to the poor ,
nor
show
favoritism to the great
; but
in
righteousness
shall
you judge your neighbor.
You must
not go about
spreading
slander
among your people .
You must
not
endanger
the life of your neighbor. I am the
LORD
.
"'
You shall
not go up
and
down
as
a
slanderer
among your people ;
neither
shall
you stand
against
the life of your neighbor. I am Yahweh
.
You must
not harbor
hatred
against
your brother in your heart. Directly
rebuke your neighbor, so
that
you
will
not incur
guilt
on
account
of him.
"'
You shall
not hate
your brother in your heart. You
shall
surely
rebuke your neighbor, and
not bear
sin
because
of him.
Do
not seek
revenge
or
bear a
grudge against any
of your people ,
but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the
LORD
.
You
shall
not take
vengeance,
nor
bear any
grudge against the
children
of your people ;
but you
shall
love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh
.
You are
to
keep My statutes. You shall not crossbreed two
different kinds of livestock;
you shall not sow your fields
with two kinds of seed; and
you
shall not
wear
clothing
made of two kinds of material.
"'
You shall
keep my statutes. "'
You shall not crossbreed different kinds of animals.
"'
you shall not sow your field
with two kinds of seed; "'neither
shall there
come
upon
on
you
a
garment
made of two kinds of material.
If a man lies carnally with a slave girl promised
to another man but
who
has
not been
redeemed
or given her freedom ,
there
must
be due
punishment
. But
they are
not to
be put to death, because she had
not been
freed
.
"'
If a man lies carnally with a woman
who
is
a
slave girl ,
pledged
to be
married
to
another man ,
and
not ransomed,
or given her freedom ;
they
shall
be punished
. They shall
not be put to death, because she was
not free
.
The
man,
however,
must
bring a
ram
to the
entrance
to the Tent of Meeting as
his
guilt
offering to
the
LORD
.
He
shall
bring his
trespass
offering
to Yahweh,
to the door
of
the
Tent of Meeting ,
even
a
ram
for
a
trespass
offering.
The priest shall make atonement on
his
behalf
before
the
LORD
with the ram of the guilt
offering for the
sin he has committed ,
and he
will
be
forgiven
the sin he has committed.
The priest shall make atonement for
him
with the ram of the trespass
offering before
Yahweh
for his
sin which
he has committed :
and the sin which
he has committed shall
be
forgiven
him
.
When you enter
the land and plant
any
kind
of tree
for food, you shall regard
the
fruit as forbidden. For
three years it
will
be forbidden to you and
must
not be eaten.
"'
When you come
into
the land ,
and have
planted
all
kinds
of trees
for food, then
you shall count
their
fruit as forbidden. Three years shall
they
be forbidden to you .
It
shall
not be eaten.
In the fourth year all its fruit must
be consecrated
as
a
praise offering
to the
LORD
.
But
in the fourth year all its fruit shall
be holy,
for
giving
praise to Yahweh
.
But
in the fifth year you may
eat its fruit ;
thus
your
harvest
will
be
increased
. I am the
LORD
your God.
In the fifth year you shall
eat its fruit ,
that
it
may
yield
its
increase
to
you
. I am Yahweh
your God.
You must
not eat anything
with blood still in it .
You must
not
practice divination
or
sorcery.
"'
You shall
not eat any
meat
with the
blood still in it ;
neither
shall
you use
enchantments,
nor
practice sorcery.
You must
not cut off
the hair at
the sides of your head
or
clip off the edges
of your beard.
You shall
not cut the hair on
the sides of your heads,
neither
shall
you
clip off the edge
of your beard.
You must
not make any cuts
in your bodies
for the dead or
put
tattoo marks on yourselves
. I am the
LORD
.
"'
You shall
not make any cuttings
in your flesh
for the dead ,
nor
tattoo any
marks on you
. I am Yahweh
.
You
must
not
defile
your daughter by
making
her a prostitute ,
or
the land will
be
prostituted
and filled
with
depravity
.
Don't
profane
your daughter ,
to
make
her a prostitute ;
lest
the land fall
to
prostitution,
and the
land
become
full
of
wickedness
.
You must
keep My Sabbaths and have
reverence for
My sanctuary .
I am the
LORD
.
"'
You shall
keep my Sabbaths ,
and reverence my sanctuary ;
I am Yahweh
.
You
must
not
turn to mediums or
spiritists;
do
not
seek them out, or
you
will
be defiled by them. I am the
LORD
your God.
"'Don't
turn to those
who
are
mediums ,
nor
to
the
wizards.
Don't
seek them out, to
be defiled by them. I am Yahweh
your God.
You are
to
rise in
the
presence
of
the elderly
, honor the aged
, and fear your God. I am the
LORD
.
You shall
rise up
before
the gray
head
, and
honor the face
of
an
old
man
, and you
shall
fear your God. I am Yahweh
.
When
a foreigner resides
with you in your land, you must
not oppress
him.
"'If
a stranger
lives
as
a
foreigner with you in your land, you shall
not do
him wrong
.
You
must
treat
the foreigner living
among
you as native-born and love him as yourself ,
for you were
foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the
LORD
your God.
The stranger
who
lives
as
a
foreigner with
you shall
be
to
you
as the
native-born among
you,
and you
shall
love him as yourself ;
for you lived
as
foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh
your God.
You must
not
use
dishonest
measures of length, weight, or volume
.
"'
You shall
do
no
unrighteousness
in
judgment,
in
measures of length, of
weight, or of
quantity
.
You
shall
maintain
honest
scales
and
weights, an
honest
ephah, and an
honest
hin. I am the
LORD
your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
Just
balances,
just
weights, a
just
ephah, and a
just
hin ,
shall
you
have
. I am Yahweh
your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
You must
keep
all My statutes and all My ordinances and follow
them. I am the
LORD
. ”
You shall
observe
all my statutes ,
and all my ordinances ,
and do
them. I am Yahweh
