Yahweh
spoke
to Moses, saying,
Then
the
LORD
said
to Moses,
"
Speak to Aaron, and
to
his sons, and to
all the children
of
Israel,
and say
to
them :
'
This is the thing
which
Yahweh
has commanded ,
“
Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites
and tell
them this is what
the LORD
has commanded :
Whatever
man
there
is
of
the house of Israel ,
who kills
an ox, or
lamb, or goat ,
in the camp ,
or who
kills
it
outside the
camp,
‘Anyone
from
the house of Israel who slaughters
an ox, a
lamb, or a
goat in the camp or outside of
it
and
hasn't
brought
it to the door
of
the Tent of Meeting ,
to offer
it as an offering to Yahweh
before
the tabernacle of
Yahweh:
blood
shall
be
imputed
to
that man. He has shed blood ;
and that
man
shall
be cut off from among his people.
instead
of
bringing
it to the entrance
to
the Tent of Meeting to present
it as an offering to the LORD
before
His
tabernacle —
that man shall
incur
bloodguilt
. He has shed blood and must
be cut off from among his people.
This is
to the end
that
the children
of
Israel
may
bring
their
sacrifices ,
which
they sacrifice
in the open field,
that
they may
bring them to Yahweh,
to
the door
of
the Tent of Meeting ,
to
the
priest,
and sacrifice
them for
sacrifices of peace offerings
to Yahweh
.
For
this reason
the
Israelites
will
bring
to the LORD
the sacrifices they have
been
offering
in the open fields.
They are
to
bring them to the priest
at
the entrance
to
the
Tent of Meeting and offer
them as
sacrifices of peace to the
LORD
.
The priest shall
sprinkle the blood on the altar of Yahweh
at the door
of
the Tent of Meeting ,
and burn the fat for
a sweet
savor
to Yahweh
.
The priest will
then
sprinkle the blood on the altar of the
LORD
at the entrance
to
the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as
a pleasing
aroma
to the
LORD
.
They shall
no more
sacrifice
their sacrifices to the goat idols,
after
which they play
the
prostitute
. This shall
be a statute forever
to
them throughout
their
generations. '
They must
no longer
offer
their sacrifices to the goat demons
to
which they have
prostituted
themselves
. This will
be a permanent
statute for
them for
the
generations to
come
. ’
"You
shall
say
to
them ,
'Any
man
there
is
of
the house of Israel ,
or of
the
strangers
who
live
as
foreigners
among them ,
who
offers a burnt offering or sacrifice ,
Tell
them that
if
anyone
from
the house of Israel or any
foreigner
living
among them offers a burnt offering or a
sacrifice
and
doesn't
bring it to the door
of
the Tent of Meeting ,
to sacrifice it to Yahweh;
that man shall
be cut off from his people.
but
does
not
bring it to the entrance
to
the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the
LORD,
that man must
be cut off from his people.
"'Any
man
of
the house of Israel ,
or of
the
strangers
who
live
as
foreigners
among them ,
who
eats any kind
of
blood, I will set my face against that soul
who
eats
blood,
and will
cut him off from among his people.
If
anyone
from
the house of Israel or a
foreigner
living
among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person
and cut him off from among his people.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood ;
and I have given it to you on
the
altar
to make atonement for your souls :
for it is the blood that makes atonement by
reason
of
the life
.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood ,
and I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls upon
the
altar;
for it is the blood that makes atonement for
the soul
.
Therefore I have
said
to the children
of
Israel
, "No
person
among
you shall
eat blood, neither
shall
any stranger
who
lives
as
a
foreigner among you eat blood. "
Therefore I say
to the Israelites
, ‘None
of
you may
eat blood, nor
may
any foreigner living
among you eat blood. ’
"'Whatever
man
there
is
of
the
children
of
Israel,
or of
the
strangers
who
live
as
foreigners
among them ,
who
takes
in
hunting
any
animal or bird that may be eaten ;
he shall
pour
out
its blood ,
and cover it with dust
.
And
if
any
Israelite
or foreigner
living
among them hunts
down
a
wild
animal or bird that may be eaten ,
he must
drain
its blood and cover it with dirt
.
For as
to
the life of all flesh ,
its
blood
is with
its life:
therefore I said
to
the children
of
Israel
, "
You shall
not eat the blood of any kind
of
flesh;
for
the life of all flesh is its blood .
Whoever eats it shall
be cut off. "
For the life of all flesh is its blood.
Therefore I have
told
the Israelites
, ‘
You must
not eat the blood of any living
thing,
because
the life of all flesh is its blood ;
whoever eats it must
be cut off. ’
"'Every
person that
eats
what
dies
of
itself
, or
that
which
is
torn
by
animals,
whether he
is
native -born
or a
foreigner, he
shall
wash his clothes ,
and bathe himself
in
water, and be unclean until the
evening :
then he shall
be clean.
And
any
person, whether native or foreigner, who
eats
anything
found
dead
or
mauled
by
wild
beasts
must
wash his clothes and bathe with
water, and he
will
be unclean until evening ;
then he will
be clean.
But if he doesn't
wash them,
or
bathe
his flesh
, then he shall bear his iniquity. '"
But if he does
not
wash his clothes
and
bathe
himself
, then he shall bear his iniquity. ”
