in years, but
very much of
the
land remains
to be possessed.

and Yahweh

yet
very much land to be possessed.
This is the land that remains: All the territory
of the Philistines and the Geshurites ,
This is the land that yet
remains: all the regions
of the Philistines ,
and all
the Geshurites ;
from the Shihor east
of
Egypt to the territory
of Ekron on
the
north
(considered
to be
Canaanite
territory)—that
of
the five Philistine
rulers
of Gaza
, Ashdod
, Ashkelon
, Gath
, and Ekron,
as
well
as
that
of
the Avvites
;
from the Shihor ,
which
is
before
Egypt ,
even
to the border
of Ekron northward,
[which]
is
reckoned
to the Canaanites;
the
five lords
of the
Philistines;
the
Gazites
, and
the
Ashdodites
, the
Ashkelonites
, the
Gittites
, and the Ekronites
; also
the
Avvim,
to
the south ,
all the land of the Canaanites, from
Mearah of
the Sidonians to Aphek, as
far
as
the border of the Amorites;
on
the south ;
all the land of the Canaanites, and
Mearah that
belongs
to
the Sidonians ,
to Aphek, to
the border of the Amorites;
the land of the Gebalites ;
and all Lebanon to
the east
, from Baal -
gad below
Mount Hermon to Lebo-
hamath .
and
the land of the Gebalites ,
and all Lebanon ,
toward
the sunrise
, from Baal Gad under
Mount Hermon to the
entrance
of
Hamath ;
All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth -
maim —
all the Sidonians —I
Myself
will drive out before the Israelites.
Be
sure
to
divide
it by
lot
as
an
inheritance
to Israel, as I have commanded you.
all the inhabitants of the hill -
country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim ,
even
all the Sidonians ;
them
will I
drive out from
before the children
of
Israel:
only
allot
you
it to Israel for
an
inheritance
, as I have commanded you.
Now therefore divide this land as
an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh. ”

The
other
half
of
Manasseh,
along
with the Reubenites and Gadites ,
had
received the
inheritance Moses had
given
them beyond the Jordan to
the
east
, just
as Moses the servant of the
LORD
had
assigned
to
them:
With him
the Reubenites and the
Gadites received their
inheritance ,
which
Moses gave
them ,
beyond the Jordan eastward
, even
as Moses the servant of Yahweh
gave
them:
The
area
from Aroer on the rim
of the Arnon
Valley, along
with
the city in the middle of the valley, the whole
plateau
of Medeba as
far
as
Dibon ,
from Aroer ,
that
is
on the edge
of the valley of
the
Arnon
, and
the city that
is
in the middle of the valley, and
all
the plain
of Medeba to
Dibon ;
and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites who reigned in Heshbon, as
far
as
the border of the Ammonites
;
and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites ,
who reigned in Heshbon, to
the border of the children
of
Ammon
;
also
Gilead and the territory
of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of
Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as
far
as
Salecah —
and
Gilead ,
and the border
of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and
all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to
Salecah ;
the whole
kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had
reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and
had
remained
as
a
remnant of the Rephaim .
Moses had
struck
them
down
and dispossessed
them ,
all
the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in
Edrei (the
same
was
left
of
the
remnant of the Rephaim );
for
these
did
Moses strike,
and drove
them out.
but
the Israelites
did
not
drive out the Geshurites or
the Maacathites .
So
Geshur and Maacath dwell among
the Israelites
to this day.
Nevertheless
the children
of
Israel
didn't
drive out the Geshurites ,
nor
the Maacathites :
but
Geshur and Maacath dwell in
the midst
of
Israel
to this day.
To the tribe of Levi ,
however,
Moses
had
given
no inheritance .
The offerings made
by
fire
to
the
LORD
, the God of Israel, are their
inheritance, just
as He had
promised
them
.
Only
to the tribe of Levi he
gave
no inheritance ;
the offerings of
Yahweh
, the God of Israel, made
by
fire
are his
inheritance, as he spoke
to
him
.
This
is
what
Moses had
given
to the clans
of the tribe
of Reuben :
Moses gave
to the tribe
of the children
of Reuben according
to
their
families.
The
territory
from Aroer on the rim
of the Arnon
Valley, along
with
the city in the middle of the valley, to
the whole
plateau
beyond
Medeba ,
Their
border
was
from Aroer ,
that
is
on the edge
of the valley of
the
Arnon
, and
the city that
is
in the middle of the valley, and
all
the plain
by
Medeba ;

Heshbon and all its cities on
the plateau,
including
Dibon, Bamoth -
baal, Beth -
baal -
meon,
Heshbon ,
and all its cities that
are
in
the plain;
Dibon, and
Bamoth Baal, and
Beth Baal Meon,
Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
and
Jahaz, and
Kedemoth, and
Mephaath,
Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar on
the
hill
in the valley,
and
Kiriathaim, and
Sibmah, and
Zereth-shahar in the mount
of
the
valley,
Beth -
peor, the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth —
and
Beth Peor, and
the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth ,
all the cities of the plateau
and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon until
Moses killed
him
and
the chiefs of Midian (
Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba )
, the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.
and
all the cities of the plain,
and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon ,
whom
Moses struck
with
the chiefs of Midian ,
Evi, and
Rekem, and
Zur, and
Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon ,
who lived in the land.
The
Israelites
also killed
the diviner
Balaam
son of Beor along
with
the others
they
put
to
the sword.
Balaam
also the son of Beor ,
the soothsayer,
did
the children
of
Israel
kill
with
the
sword among
the
rest
of
their
slain
.
And
the border of the Reubenites
was
the
bank
of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the clans
of the
Reubenites
, including
the cities and villages.
The border of the children
of Reuben
was
the Jordan ,
and
the
border
[of
it]
. This was the inheritance of the children
of Reuben
according
to
their
families
, the cities and the
villages of
it
.
This
is
what
Moses had
given
to the clans
of the tribe
of Gad :
Moses gave
to the tribe
of Gad,
to
the children
of Gad ,
according
to
their
families.
The
territory
of
Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites
as
far
as
Aroer
, near
Rabbah;
Their
border
was
Jazer, and
all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children
of
Ammon
, to
Aroer
that
is
before
Rabbah;
the
territory
from Heshbon to Ramath -
mizpeh and Betonim ,
and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
and
from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpeh ,
and Betonim ;
and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
and in the valley, Beth -
haram, Beth -
nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, with
the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon (
the territory
on
the east
side
of the
Jordan
up
to the edge
of the Sea of Chinnereth )
.
and in the valley, Beth Haram, and
Beth Nimrah, and
Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon ,
the Jordan
and
the border
[
of it],
to the uttermost
part
of the sea of Chinnereth beyond
the
Jordan
eastward
.
This was
the inheritance of the clans
of the
Gadites
, including
the cities and villages.
This is
the inheritance of the children
of Gad
according
to
their
families
, the cities and the
villages of
it
.
This
is
what
Moses had
given
to the clans
of
the
half-tribe of Manasseh ,
that
is,
to
half
the tribe of the descendants
of Manasseh :
Moses gave
[inheritance]
to the half-tribe of Manasseh :
and
it
was
for
the half-
tribe of the children
of Manasseh according
to
their
families.
The
territory
from Mahanaim through
all Bashan —
all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, including
all the towns of Jair that
are in Bashan, sixty cities ;
Their
border
was
from Mahanaim ,
all Bashan ,
all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and
all the towns of Jair ,
which
are in Bashan, sixty cities :
half of
Gilead ;
and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the royal
cities of Og in Bashan .
All
this
was
for the clans
of
the
descendants
of Machir son of Manasseh, that
is,
half of the descendants
of Machir.
and
half Gilead ,
and Ashtaroth ,
and Edrei, the cities of the
kingdom
of
Og in Bashan ,
were
for the children
of Machir the
son of Manasseh, even
for
the
half of the children
of Machir according
to
their
families
.
These were
the portions
Moses had
given
them
on
the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan ,
east
of
Jericho.
These are
the inheritances
which
Moses distributed
in
the plains of Moab ,
beyond the Jordan at
Jericho ,
eastward
.
To the tribe of Levi ,
however,
Moses had
given
no inheritance .
The
LORD
, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just
as He had
promised
them.
But
to the tribe of Levi Moses gave
no inheritance :
Yahweh
, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he spoke
to
them.
