King James Version
After these things ,
Jesus was
walking
in Galilee ,
for he wouldn't
walk in Judea
, because the Jews sought to kill him.
After these things Jesus walked
in Galilee :
for he would
not
walk in Jewry
, because the Jews sought to kill him.
Now the feast
of
the
Jews,
the
Feast of Booths,
was at hand.
Now the Jew's
feast of tabernacles
was at hand.
His brothers
therefore said to
him, "
Depart from
here
, and go into Judea
, that your
disciples also may see your
works which
you
do
.
His brethren
therefore said unto
him, Depart hence
, and go into Judaea
, that thy
disciples also may see the
works that
thou
doest
.
For no one
does
anything
in secret, and himself seeks
to be known openly. If you
do these things, reveal
yourself
to the world. "
For there
is
no man
that
doeth
any
thing
in secret, and he
himself seeketh
to be known openly. If thou
do these things, shew
thyself
to the world.
For even
his brothers
didn't
believe in him.
For neither
did
his brethren
believe in him.
Jesus therefore
said to
them, "
My time has
not yet come ,
but your time is always
ready.
Then
Jesus said unto
them, My time is
not yet come :
but your time is alway
ready.
The world can't
hate you ,
but it
hates
me, because I testify about
it, that its
works are evil.
The world cannot
hate you ;
but me it
hateth
, because I testify of
it, that the
works thereof
are evil.
You
go up to
the
feast .
I am
not yet
going
up to
this feast ,
because
my time is not yet fulfilled
. "
Go ye
up unto
this
feast :
I go
not up yet
unto
this feast :
for
my time is not yet full
come
.
Having
said these things
to
them, he stayed
in Galilee.
When
he
had
said these words
unto
them, he abode
still
in Galilee.
But when his brothers
had
gone up to
the
feast
, then he also went
up, not publicly
, but as it were in secret.
But when his brethren
were
gone up, then went
he also up unto
the
feast
, not openly
, but as it were in secret.
The Jews therefore
sought him at the feast, and said, "
Where is he? "
Then
the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
There was much murmuring among the multitudes
concerning him .
Some said, "
He is a good man ."
Others said, "Not
so,
but he leads
the multitude
astray
. "
And
there was much murmuring among the people
concerning him :
for
some said, He is a good man :
others said, Nay;
but he deceiveth
the people
.
Yet
no one
spoke
openly of him for fear of the Jews.
Howbeit
no man
spake
openly of him for fear of the Jews.
But
when
it
was
now the midst of the feast ,
Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
Now about
the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple ,
and taught.
The Jews therefore
marveled
, saying, "
How does
this man know
letters, having never been
educated
? "
And
the Jews marvelled
, saying, How knoweth
this man letters, having never learned
?
Jesus therefore
answered them, "
My teaching
is not mine, but his who
sent me.
Jesus answered them, and
said,
My doctrine
is not mine, but his that
sent me.
If anyone
desires
to
do his will, he will
know about
the teaching
, whether it is
from
God, or if
I am
speaking
from
myself.
If any
man
will
do his will, he shall
know of
the doctrine
, whether it be
of
God, or whether
I speak
of
myself.
He who
speaks
from
himself seeks
his own glory ,
but he who
seeks
the
glory of
him
who
sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
He that
speaketh
of
himself seeketh
his own glory :
but he that
seeketh
his
glory that
sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
Didn't
Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps
the law? Why do
you
seek
to kill me? "
Did
not
Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth
the law? Why go
ye
about
to kill me?
The multitude
answered, "You
have
a demon!
Who seeks
to kill you
? "
The people
answered and
said
, Thou
hast
a devil:
who goeth
about
to kill thee
?
Jesus answered them, "
I did
one work, and you
all marvel because
of
it
.
Jesus answered and
said
unto
them, I have
done
one work, and ye
all marvel.
Moses has
given
you circumcision (not that
it is of Moses, but of the fathers) ,
and on the Sabbath you
circumcise a boy
.
Moses therefore
gave
unto
you circumcision ;
(not because
it is of Moses, but of the fathers ;
) and ye
on the sabbath day
circumcise a man
.
If a boy
receives
circumcision
on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may
not be broken ,
are you
angry with
me, because I made a man every bit
whole on the Sabbath?
If a man
on the sabbath day
receive
circumcision
, that the law of Moses should
not be broken ;
are ye
angry at
me, because I have
made a man every whit
whole on the sabbath day
?
Don't
judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment. "
Judge not
according to the
appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Therefore
some of them of Jerusalem said
, "Isn't
this he whom they seek to kill?
Then
said
some of them of Jerusalem, Is
not
this he ,
whom they seek to kill?
Behold
, he speaks
openly
, and they say nothing to
him. Can
it
be
that
the rulers indeed
know that this is truly
the Christ?
But
, lo,
he speaketh
boldly
, and they say nothing unto
him. Do
the rulers know indeed
that this is the very
Christ?
However
we know where
this man comes
from,
but when the
Christ comes
, no one
will
know
where
he comes
from
. "
Howbeit
we know this man whence
he
is:
but when Christ cometh
, no man
knoweth
whence
he is
.
Jesus
therefore
cried out
in the temple, teaching
and
saying, "You
both know me, and know where
I am from.
I have
not come of myself, but he who
sent me is true, whom you
don't
know.
Then
cried Jesus
in the temple as
he
taught
, saying, Ye
both know me, and ye
know whence
I am :
and
I am
not come of myself, but he that
sent me is true, whom ye
know not
.
I know him ,
because
I am from him, and he sent me. "
But
I know him :
for
I am from him, and he hath
sent me.
They sought therefore
to take him ;
but no one
laid a
hand
on him, because his hour had
not yet come.
Then
they sought to take him :
but no man
laid hands
on him, because his hour was
not yet come.
But
of the multitude,
many
believed in
him .
They
said, "
When the
Christ comes
, he won't
do more signs
than those
which this man has
done ,
will
he
? "
And
many
of the people
believed on
him ,
and
said, When Christ cometh
, will
he do more miracles
than these
which this man hath
done?
The Pharisees heard the multitude
murmuring
these
things concerning him ,
and the chief
priests
and the Pharisees
sent officers to arrest
him.
The Pharisees heard that
the people
murmured
such
things concerning him ;
and the Pharisees
and the chief
priests
sent officers to take
him.
Then Jesus
said, "I
will
be
with
you
a little while longer
, then I go to
him who
sent me.
Then said Jesus
unto
them
, Yet
a little while am
I
with
you
, and
then I go unto
him that
sent me.
You
will
seek me, and won't
find me ;
and where I am, you
can't
come. "
Ye
shall
seek me, and shall
not
find me :
and where I am, thither
ye
cannot
come.
The Jews therefore
said
among themselves, "Where
will this
man
go that we won't
find him? Will he go to
the Dispersion
among the Greeks
, and teach the Greeks
?
Then
said
the Jews among themselves, Whither
will he
go ,
that we shall
not
find him? will he go unto
the dispersed
among the Gentiles
, and teach the Gentiles
?
What is this word
that he said, 'You
will
seek me, and won't
find me ;
and where I am, you
can't
come? '"
What manner
of
saying
is this that he said, Ye
shall
seek me, and shall
not
find me :
and where I am, thither
ye
cannot
come?
Now
on
the last and
greatest
day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out
, "
If anyone
is
thirsty
, let him come to
me and drink !
In
the last day ,
that
great
day
of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying,
If any
man
thirst
, let him come unto
me ,
and drink .
He who
believes
in
me, as the Scripture has
said, from
within
him
will
flow rivers of living water. "
He that
believeth
on
me, as the scripture hath
said, out
of
his
belly
shall
flow rivers of living water.
But he
said
this about
the Spirit, which those
believing
in
him were
to
receive .
For the Holy Spirit
was not yet given ,
because Jesus wasn't
yet glorified.
(
But this spake
he
of
the Spirit, which they
that
believe
on
him should
receive :
for the Holy Ghost
was not yet given ;
because that
Jesus was
not
yet glorified. )
Many of the multitude
therefore, when they heard these
words
, said, "
This is truly
the prophet. "
Many of the people
therefore, when they heard this
saying
, said, Of
a
truth
this is the Prophet.
Others said, "
This is the Christ. "
But some said, "What,
does
the
Christ come out of Galilee?
Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall
Christ come out of Galilee?
Hasn't
the Scripture said that the
Christ comes
of the seed of David, and from
Bethlehem, the
village
where David was? "
Hath
not
the scripture said ,
That Christ cometh
of the seed of David, and out
of
the
town
of
Bethlehem, where David was?
So there arose
a division in
the multitude
because of him.
So there was
a division among
the people
because of him.
Some of them would have arrested
him ,
but no one
laid hands on him.
And
some of them would have taken
him ;
but no man
laid hands on him.
The officers therefore
came
to the chief priests and Pharisees ,
and they said to
them, "
Why didn't
you
bring
him? "
Then
came
the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees ;
and they said unto
them, Why have
ye
not
brought
him?
The officers answered, "No
man ever
spoke
like this man !"
The officers answered, Never
man spake
like this man .
The
Pharisees
therefore
answered them ,
"You
aren't
also
led
astray
, are you
?
Then
answered them the
Pharisees
, Are ye
also
deceived
?
Have any of the rulers believed
in
him,
or of the Pharisees?
Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed
on
him
?
But this multitude
that
doesn't
know
the law is
accursed
. "
But this people
who
knoweth
not
the law are
cursed
.
Nicodemus (he who
came to him
by night, being one of them )
said
to
them
,
Nicodemus saith
unto
them,
(he that
came to Jesus
by night, being one of them, )
"Does
our law judge a
man, unless
it first
hears
from
him personally
and knows
what he does
? "
Doth
our law judge any
man, before
it hear
him ,
and know
what he doeth
?
They answered him, "Are
you
also from
Galilee? Search, and see
that
no
prophet
has
arisen
out of Galilee. "
They answered and
said
unto
him, Art
thou
also of
Galilee? Search, and look:
for
out of Galilee ariseth
no
prophet
.
Everyone
went to
his own house ,
And
every
man
went unto
his own house .
