Now before the feast
of
the
Passover, Jesus knowing
that his time
had come that
he
would
depart
from
this world to the Father ,
having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
It
was
now just
before the Passover Feast
, and
Jesus knew
that His hour
had come to
leave
this world and
return
to the Father .
Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the very

After
supper
, the devil having
already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot
, Simon's
son, to betray him,
The
evening
meal
was
underway
, and
the devil had
already put into the heart of Judas, the

, to betray Jesus.
Jesus ,
knowing
that the Father had given
all things into his hands, and that he came
forth
from God ,
and was going
to God ,
Jesus knew
that the Father had delivered
all things into His hands, and that He had
come
from God and was returning
to God .
arose
from supper, and
laid aside his outer garments .
He
took
a
towel
, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
So
He
got
up
from the
supper, laid aside His outer garments, and wrapped a towel around His waist.
Then
he poured water into the
basin ,
and began to wash the disciples '
feet ,
and to
wipe
them with the towel that was wrapped
around him.
After
that,
He poured water into a

them with the towel that was around Him.
Then
he came to Simon Peter .
He
said
to
him, "
Lord, do
you wash my feet? "
He came to Simon Peter ,
who
asked
Him, “
Lord, are
You going
to
wash my feet? ”
Jesus answered
him
, "
You don't
know
what I am doing now
, but you will understand later
. "
Jesus replied
, “
You do
not
realize
now
what I am doing, but later
you will understand. ”
Peter
said
to
him,
"You
will
never wash my feet! "
Jesus answered him
, "If
I don't
wash you, you have no part with me. "
“
Never shall
You
wash my feet! ”
Peter
told
Him.
Jesus answered, “Unless
I wash you, you have no part with Me. ”
Simon
Peter
said
to
him
, "
Lord, not my feet only
, but also
my hands and my head! "
“Then
, Lord, ”
Simon
Peter
replied,
“
not only
my feet, but my hands and my head as
well
! ”
Jesus said
to
him, "Someone
who
has bathed only
needs to have
his feet washed
, but
is
completely clean. You are clean, but
not all of you. "
Jesus told
him, “Whoever
has already
bathed needs only
to wash
his feet, and
he
will
be
completely clean. And
you are clean, though
not all of you. ”
For he knew him
who would betray him ,
therefore
he said, "You
are
not all clean. "
For He knew who would betray Him .
That
is
why
He said, “
Not all of
you
are
clean. ”
So
when he
had washed their feet ,
put his outer garment
back
on,
and
sat
down
again
, he said
to
them, "
Do you know what I have done to
you?
When Jesus
had washed their feet and
put on
His outer garments
, He reclined
with
them again
and
asked
, “
Do you know what I have done for
you?
You call me ,
'
Teacher '
and '
Lord .'
You
say
so
correctly
, for
so I am.
You call Me Teacher and Lord, and
rightly
so ,
because
I am.
If I then
, the
Lord and the
Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought
to
wash one another's
feet.
So
if I, your
Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should
wash one another’s
feet.
For
I have given
you an example ,
that you also
should do as I have done to
you.
I have set
you an example so
that you should do as I have done for
you.
Most
assuredly
I tell you, a
servant is not
greater than his lord
, neither
one
who
is sent
greater than he
who sent him.
Truly,
truly,
I tell you, no
servant is greater than his master
, nor
is a
messenger
greater than the
one
who sent him.
If you know these things, blessed
are
you if you do them.
If you know these things, you will
be
blessed
if you do them.
I don't
speak
concerning
all of you .
I know whom I have chosen. But that
the Scripture may
be
fulfilled,
'He
who eats
bread with
me
has lifted up his heel against me. '
I am
not
speaking
about
all of you ;
I know whom I have chosen. But this
is
to
fulfill
the Scripture :
‘The
one
who shares
My
bread has lifted up his heel against Me. ’
From
now
on,
I tell
you before it happens, that when it happens
, you may
believe that I AM.
I am
telling
you now
before it happens, so
that when it comes
to
pass
, you will
believe that I am He
.
Most
assuredly
I tell you, he
who
receives whomever
I send ,
receives me ;
and he
who
receives me ,
receives him
who sent me. "
Truly,
truly,
I tell you, whoever
receives the
one
I send receives Me ,
and whoever
receives Me receives the
One
who sent Me. ”
When
Jesus had said this, he was
troubled in spirit ,
and testified, "Most
assuredly
I tell you that
one of you will betray me. "
After
Jesus had said this, He became
troubled in spirit and testified, “Truly,
truly,
I tell you ,
one of you will betray Me. ”
The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about
whom
he spoke
.

who
it

whom
he speaks
. "
So
Simon Peter motioned
to him to ask
Jesus
which

talking
about
.
He,
leaning back ,
as
he
was,
on
Jesus '
breast
, asked him
, "
Lord, who is it? "
Leaning back against
Jesus, he
asked, “
Lord, who is it? ”
Jesus therefore
answered, "
It is he
to whom I will
give this piece
of
bread
when
I have dipped it. "
So
when
he had
dipped the piece
of
bread,
he
gave it to Judas ,
the
son of Simon Iscariot.
Jesus answered, “
It is the
one
to whom I give this morsel
after
I have dipped it. ”
Then
He dipped the morsel
and
gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.
After
the piece
of
bread
, then
Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him
, "
What you do, do quickly. "
And
when
Judas
had
taken
the morsel
, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to Judas
, “
What you are
about
to
do, do quickly. ”
Now
no man
at the table knew why he
said this to him.
But
no one
at the table knew why Jesus
had
said this to him.
For
some
thought,
because
Judas had
the money box
, that Jesus said
to
him ,
"
Buy what things
we
need
for the feast, "
or that
he
should
give something to the poor.
Since
Judas kept
the money bag
, some
thought
that Jesus was
telling
him to
buy what was
needed
for the feast, or to
give something to the poor.
Therefore,
having
received that
morsel, he
went out immediately.
It
was
night.
As
soon
as
he
had
received the
morsel, Judas
went out into
the
night.
When he
had gone out, Jesus said, "
Now the Son of Man has
been
glorified, and God has
been
glorified in him.
When Judas
had gone out, Jesus said, “
Now the Son of Man is
glorified, and God is
glorified in Him.
If God has
been
glorified in him, God will also glorify him
in himself ,
and he
will glorify him immediately
.
If God is
glorified in Him, God will also glorify the
Son
in Himself —
and will glorify Him at
once
.
Little children, I will
be
with you a little while longer. You will seek
me, and as I said to the Jews, '
Where I am going, you can't
come ,'
so
now
I
tell
you
.
Little children, I am
with you only
a little while longer. You will look
for
Me, and as I said to the Jews, so
now
I
say
to
you:
‘
Where I am going, you cannot
come. ’
A new commandment I give to
you ,
that
you
love one another ,
just
like
I have loved you ;
that
you also love one another.
A new commandment I give you :
Love one another .
As
I have loved you ,
so
you also must
love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have
love for
one another. "

Simon
Peter
said
to
him,
"
Lord, where are you going? "
Jesus answered, "
Where I am going, you can't
follow now, but you will follow afterwards
. "
“
Lord, where are You going? ”
Simon
Peter
asked.
Jesus answered, “
Where I am going, you cannot
follow Me
now, but you will follow later
. ”
Peter
said
to
him,
"
Lord, why can't
I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you. "
“
Lord, ”
said
Peter,
“
why can’t
I follow You now? I will lay down my life for You. ”
Jesus
answered
him,
"
Will you lay down your life for me? Most
assuredly
I tell you, the rooster won't
crow
until
you have
denied
me three times.
“
Will you lay down your life for Me? ”
Jesus
replied.
“Truly,
truly,
I tell you, before
the rooster crows,
you will
deny
Me three times.
