King James Version
Come
now, you
rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are
coming
on
you.
Go
to
now, ye
rich men
, weep and howl for your miseries that shall
come
upon
you.
Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten
.
Your riches are corrupted ,
and your garments are motheaten
.
Your gold and your
silver are
corroded,
and their
corrosion
will
be for
a testimony
against you, and will
eat your flesh like
fire. You
have laid
up
your
treasure in
the last days.
Your gold and silver is
cankered;
and the
rust
of
them
shall
be a witness
against you, and shall
eat your flesh as
it
were
fire. Ye
have heaped
treasure together
for
the last days.
Behold, the wages
of the laborers
who mowed
your fields, which you have
kept back by fraud, cry
out,
and the cries of those
who
reaped
have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts
.
Behold, the hire
of the labourers
who have
reaped
down
your fields, which is
of
you kept back by fraud, crieth:
and the cries of them
which
have reaped
are
entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth
.
You
have lived delicately
on the earth, and taken
your
pleasure.
You
have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
Ye
have lived in
pleasure
on the earth, and been
wanton;
ye
have nourished your hearts ,
as in a day of slaughter.
You
have condemned ,
you
have
murdered
the righteous
one.
He doesn't
resist you.
Ye
have condemned and
killed
the just;
and
he doth
not
resist you.
Be patient therefore, brothers
, until
the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer
waits
for the precious fruit of the earth, being
patient
over
it, until it
receives
the early and late
rain.
Be patient therefore, brethren
, unto
the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman
waiteth
for the precious fruit of the earth, and
hath
long
patience
for
it, until he
receive
the early and latter
rain.
You
also
be patient .
Establish
your hearts ,
for the coming of the Lord is
at
hand
.
Be ye
also
patient ;
stablish
your hearts :
for the coming of the Lord draweth
nigh
.
Don't
grumble,
brothers,
against
one another, so
that
you
won't
be judged.
Behold, the judge stands
at
the door.
Grudge
not
one against
another, brethren,
lest
ye
be condemned:
behold, the judge standeth
before
the door.
Take, brothers,
for
an
example
of
suffering
and
of
patience
, the prophets who spoke
in the name of the Lord.
Take, my
brethren
, the prophets ,
who have
spoken
in the name of the Lord ,
for
an
example
of
suffering
affliction,
and
of
patience
.
Behold, we call
them blessed
who
endured
. You
have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the Lord
in
the outcome,
and
how
the Lord is full
of
compassion
and mercy.
Behold, we count
them happy
which
endure
. Ye
have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end
of
the Lord;
that
the Lord is very
pitiful,
and of
tender
mercy.
But above all things, my brothers
, don't
swear, neither by heaven, nor
by the earth, nor
by any other oath ;
but let your "yes"
be "yes,"
and your "no
, "
"no
; "
so
that
you
don't
fall into hypocrisy
.
But above all things, my brethren
, swear not
, neither by heaven, neither
by the earth, neither
by any other oath :
but let your yea
be yea;
and your nay
, nay
; lest
ye
fall into condemnation
.
Is any among you suffering
? Let him pray. Is any cheerful
? Let him sing praises
.
Is any among you afflicted
? let him pray. Is any merry
? let him sing psalms
.
Is any among you sick
? Let him call for the elders of the assembly,
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord ,
Is any sick
among you? let him call for the elders of the church;
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord :
and the prayer of faith will
heal
him
who
is
sick, and the Lord will
raise him up .
If he has
committed sins, he
will
be forgiven.
And the prayer of faith shall
save
the
sick, and the Lord shall
raise him up ;
and
if he have
committed sins, they
shall
be forgiven him
.
Confess your offenses
to
one another, and pray one for another, that you
may be healed. The effective,
earnest
prayer of a righteous man is
powerfully
effective
.
Confess your faults
one to
another, and pray one for another, that ye
may be healed. The effectual
fervent
prayer of a righteous man availeth
much
.
Elijah
was a man with
a
nature
like ours
, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain ,
and it didn't
rain
on the earth for
three years and six months.
Elias
was a man subject
to
like passions
as
we
are
, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain :
and it rained
not
on the earth by
the
space
of
three years and six months.
He prayed again, and the sky
gave rain, and the earth brought forth its
fruit.
And
he prayed again, and the heaven
gave rain, and the earth brought forth her
fruit.
Brothers
, if any among
you wanders
from the truth, and someone
turns
him back,
Brethren
, if any of
you do
err
from the truth, and one
convert
him ;
let him know that he who
turns
a
sinner from the error of his way will
save a soul from death, and will
cover
a multitude of sins.
Let him know ,
that he which
converteth
the
sinner from the error of his way shall
save a soul from death, and shall
hide
a multitude of sins.
