for thy
light is
come, and the glory of Jehovah
is
risen
upon thee
.
Arise, shine ,
for your
light has
come, and the glory of the
LORD
rises
upon you
.
For ,
behold, darkness shall
cover
the earth, and gross
darkness the peoples; but Jehovah
will arise
upon thee
, and his glory shall
be
seen
upon
thee
.
For behold, darkness covers
the earth, and thick
darkness is
over
the peoples; but the
LORD
will rise
upon you
, and His glory will
appear
over
you
.
And
nations shall
come to thy
light, and kings to the brightness of thy
rising
.
Nations will
come to your
light, and kings to the brightness of your
dawn
.
Lift up thine
eyes round
about,
and see
: they all gather themselves
together,
they
come to thee
; thy
sons shall
come from far
, and thy
daughters shall
be carried in
the arms
.
Lift up your
eyes and look
around
: They all gather and
come to you
; your
sons will
come from afar
, and your
daughters will
be carried on
the arm
.
Then thou
shalt
see
and be radiant, and thy
heart shall
thrill
and be
enlarged;
because the abundance
of the sea shall
be turned
unto
thee
, the wealth of the nations shall
come unto
thee
.
Then you
will
look
and be radiant, and your
heart will
tremble
and swell
with
joy,
because the riches
of the sea will
be brought
to
you
, and
the wealth of the nations will
come to
you
.
The
multitude
of camels shall
cover thee
, the
dromedaries
of Midian and Ephah ;
all they
from Sheba shall
come ;
they
shall
bring
gold and frankincense ,
and shall
proclaim
the praises of Jehovah
.
Caravans
of camels will
cover your
land
, young
camels
of Midian and Ephah ,
and
all from Sheba will
come ,
bearing
gold and frankincense and proclaiming
the praises of the
LORD
.
All the flocks of Kedar shall
be gathered together
unto
thee,
the rams of Nebaioth shall
minister
unto
thee;
they
shall
come
up with
acceptance
on mine
altar; and
I will glorify
the
house
of
my glory
.
All the flocks of Kedar will
be gathered to
you;
the rams of Nebaioth will
serve
you
and
go
up on My
altar with
acceptance
; I will adorn
My glorious
house
.
Who are these that
fly as
a
cloud
, and
as
the
doves to their windows
?
Who are these who
fly like
clouds
, like
doves to their shelters
?
Surely the isles
shall
wait for me, and
the ships of Tarshish first
, to bring thy
sons
from far
, their silver and their
gold with
them
, for
the name
of Jehovah
thy
God, and
for
the Holy One of Israel, because
he hath
glorified thee
.
Surely the islands
will
wait for Me, with
the ships of Tarshish in
the
lead
, to bring your
children
from afar
, with
their silver and gold, to
the honor
of the
LORD
your
God, the Holy One of Israel, for
He has
glorified you
.
And
foreigners shall
build
up
thy
walls, and their kings shall
minister
unto
thee:
for
in
my
wrath
I smote
thee
, but
in my
favor have
I had
mercy on
thee
.
Foreigners will
rebuild
your
walls, and their kings will
serve
you.
Although
I struck
you
in
anger
, yet
in favor I will
show
you
mercy.
Thy
gates also
shall
be
open continually
; they shall
not
be shut day nor
night ;
that men
may
bring
unto
thee
the wealth of the nations, and
their kings led captive
.
Your
gates will
always
stand
open; they will
never
be shut ,
day or
night ,
so
that the wealth of the nations may
be
brought
into
you
, with
their kings being
led in
procession
.
For that
nation and
kingdom that will not serve thee
shall
perish; yea,
those
nations
shall
be utterly wasted
.
For the
nation or
kingdom that will not serve you
will
perish; it
will
be utterly destroyed
.
The glory of Lebanon shall
come unto
thee,
the
fir-tree
, the
pine
, and the
box-tree
together ,
to beautify
the place of my sanctuary ;
and I will make
the place of my feet glorious
.
The glory of Lebanon will
come to
you—
its
cypress
, elm
, and boxwood
together —
to adorn
the place of My sanctuary ,
and I will glorify
the place of My feet.
And
the sons of them
that
afflicted
thee
shall
come bending
unto
thee;
and all
they
that
despised
thee
shall
bow themselves
down at the
soles
of
thy
feet ;
and they
shall
call thee
The city of Jehovah,
The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
The sons of your
oppressors
will
come and bow down to
you;
all
who
reviled
you
will
fall
facedown
at your
feet and call you
the City of the LORD,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Whereas thou
hast
been forsaken and hated
, so
that
no man
passed
through thee
, I will make thee
an eternal
excellency
, a joy of
many
generations
.
Whereas you
have
been forsaken and despised
, with
no one
passing
through, I will make you
an everlasting
pride
, a joy from
age
to
age
.
Thou
shalt
also
suck
the milk of the
nations ,
and shalt
suck
the breast
of kings
; and
thou
shalt
know that I, Jehovah
, am thy
Saviour,
and thy
Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
You
will
drink
the milk of nations and nurse
at
the breasts
of royalty
; you
will
know that I, the
LORD
, am your
Savior
and your
Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
For
brass
I will bring gold ,
and
for
iron
I will bring silver, and
for
wood brass
, and for
stones
iron. I will also
make
thy
officers
peace ,
and thine
exactors
righteousness.
Instead
of
bronze
I will bring you
gold ;
I will bring silver in
place
of
iron
, bronze
instead
of
wood, and iron instead
of
stones
. I will appoint
peace as
your
governor
and righteousness as
your
ruler
.
Violence
shall
no more
be heard in thy
land, desolation
nor destruction within thy
borders ;
but thou
shalt
call
thy
walls Salvation ,
and thy
gates Praise.
No longer
will
violence
be heard in your
land, nor ruin
or
destruction within your
borders .
But you
will
name
your
walls Salvation and your
gates Praise.
The sun shall
be no
more
thy
light by day ;
neither
for
brightness shall
the moon give
light
unto
thee:
but
Jehovah
will be unto
thee
an
everlasting light, and thy
God thy
glory
.
No
longer
will
the sun be your
light by day ,
nor
the
brightness of
the moon shine
on
your
night;
for
the
LORD
will be your
everlasting light, and your
God will
be
your
splendor
.
Thy
sun shall
no more
go
down
, neither
shall
thy
moon withdraw
itself
; for Jehovah
will be thine
everlasting light, and the days of thy
mourning
shall
be
ended
.
Your
sun will
no longer
set
, and
your
moon will
not
wane
; for the
LORD
will be your
everlasting light, and the days of your
sorrow
will
cease
.
Thy
people also
shall
be all
righteous; they shall
inherit
the land for
ever,
the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Then
all
your
people will
be righteous; they will
possess
the land forever;
they
are
the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so
that I may be glorified.
The little
one
shall
become a thousand, and the small
one
a strong
nation ;
I ,
Jehovah,
will
hasten
it
in its time.
The least
of
you
will
become a thousand, and the smallest
a mighty
nation .
I am
the
LORD;
in its time I
will
accomplish
it
quickly
.
