Awake, awake, clothe
yourself
with
strength, O
Zion !
Put on your garments of
splendor
, O
Jerusalem, holy city !
For the uncircumcised and unclean will
no
longer
enter
you
.
Awake, awake, put
on
your
strength, Zion ;
put on your beautiful
garments, Jerusalem, the
holy city :
for henceforth
there
shall
no
more
come
into
you
the uncircumcised and the
unclean.
Shake off
your
dust !
Rise
up
and
sit on your throne, O
Jerusalem .
Remove
the
chains
from your neck, O
captive Daughter of Zion.
Shake yourself
from
the
dust ;
arise,
sit [
on your throne ]
, Jerusalem :
loose
yourself
from the
bonds
of
your neck, captive daughter of Zion.
For this
is
what
the
LORD
says :
“
You were sold for nothing ,
and without
money
you will
be redeemed. ”
For thus
says Yahweh,
You were sold for nothing ;
and you shall
be redeemed without
money
.
For this
is
what
the Lord GOD
says:
“At
first
My people went down to
Egypt to live,
then
Assyria
oppressed them without cause.
For thus
says
the Lord Yahweh,
My people went down at
the
first
into
Egypt to sojourn
there:
and
the
Assyrian
has
oppressed them without cause.
And
now what have
I here ?
declares
the
LORD.
For
My people have
been
taken without
cause;
those who rule them taunt
, declares
the
LORD
, and My name is
blasphemed
continually all day long
.
Now therefore,
what do
I here ,
says
Yahweh,
seeing
that
my people is
taken away
for
nothing?
those who rule over
them do
howl
, says
Yahweh
, and my name continually all the
day is
blasphemed
.
Therefore My people will
know My name ;
therefore they will
know on
that day that I am He who speaks.
Here
I am!”
Therefore my people shall
know my name :
therefore [
they shall
know ]
in
that day that I am he who does
speak;
behold,
it
is
I .
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those
who bring
good news, who proclaim
peace, who bring
good tidings
, who proclaim
salvation, who say
to Zion, “
Your God reigns! ”
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him
who brings
good news, who publishes
peace, who brings
good news
of
good
, who publishes
salvation, who says
to Zion, Your God reigns!
Listen!
Your watchmen lift up their
voices
, together they shout
for
joy.
For every
eye
will
see when the
LORD
returns to Zion.
The
voice
of
your watchmen !
they
lift up the
voice
, together do
they sing;
for they
shall
see eye
to
eye,
when Yahweh
returns to Zion.
Break forth in
joy, sing together, O
ruins
of Jerusalem ,
for the
LORD
has comforted His people ;
He has redeemed Jerusalem.
Break forth into
joy, sing together, you
waste
places
of Jerusalem ;
for Yahweh
has comforted his people ,
he has redeemed Jerusalem.
The
LORD
has bared
His holy arm in the sight
of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will
see
the salvation of our God.
Yahweh
has made
bare
his holy arm in the eyes
of all the nations; and
all the ends of the earth have
seen
the salvation of our God.
Depart, depart, go out from there !
Touch no unclean thing; come
out from
it,
purify
yourselves, you who carry
the vessels of the
LORD
.
Depart you
, depart you
, go you
out from there ,
touch no unclean thing; go
you
out of
the
midst
of
her;
cleanse
yourselves, you who bear
the vessels of Yahweh
.
For you will
not leave
in
a
hurry
nor
flee
in haste, for the
LORD
goes
before you ,
and the God of Israel is
your rear
guard
.
For you shall
not go
out
in haste, neither
shall
you
go
by
flight:
for Yahweh
will
go
before you ;
and the God of Israel will
be
your rearward
.
Behold, My Servant will
prosper;
He will
be raised
and lifted up and highly
exalted
.
Behold, my servant shall
deal
wisely,
he shall
be exalted
and lifted up ,
and shall
be
very
high
.
Just
as many were appalled
at Him
—
His appearance
was disfigured
beyond
that
of
any man, and His form was
marred
beyond
human
likeness—
Like
as many were astonished
at you
(
his visage
was so
marred
more
than
any man, and his form more
than
the
sons
of
men),
so He will
sprinkle many nations .
Kings will
shut their mouths because
of
Him .
For they
will
see
what
they
have
not been told ,
and
they will
understand
what
they have
not heard.
so shall
he sprinkle many nations ;
kings shall
shut their mouths at
him :
for that
which
had
not been told them
shall
they see;
and
that
which
they had
not heard shall
they
understand
.
