King James Version
This
is
the message
that was
revealed
to
Isaiah son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem :
The word
that Isaiah the
son of Amoz saw
concerning Judah and Jerusalem .
In the last days the mountain of the house of
the
LORD
will
be established as
the chief
of the mountains ;
it
will
be raised
above the hills ,
and all nations will
stream
to
it.
And
it
shall
come
to
pass
in the last days ,
that
the mountain of the LORD's
house shall
be established in
the top
of the mountains ,
and
shall
be exalted
above the hills ;
and all nations shall
flow
unto
it.
And many peoples
will
come
and say :
“
Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob .
He will teach us His ways so
that
we may
walk in His paths .”
For the
law
will
go forth from
Zion
, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
And many people
shall
go
and say ,
Come ye
, and
let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob ;
and
he will teach us of
his ways ,
and
we will
walk in his paths :
for out
of
Zion
shall
go forth the
law
, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Then
He will
judge between
the nations and arbitrate
for
many peoples.
They will
beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning
hooks.
Nation will
no
longer
take
up the
sword against nation, nor
train
anymore
for
war.
And
he shall
judge among
the nations ,
and shall
rebuke
many people:
and
they shall
beat their swords into plowshares ,
and their spears into pruninghooks:
nation shall
not
lift
up sword against nation, neither
shall
they
learn
war any
more
.
Come,
O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
O house of Jacob, come
ye,
and
let us walk in the light of the LORD.
For
You
have
abandoned
Your
people ,
the house of Jacob, because they are
filled
with
influences
from the east ;
they
are soothsayers like the Philistines ;
they strike
hands
with
the children of foreigners
.
Therefore
thou
hast
forsaken
thy
people the house of Jacob, because they be
replenished
from the east ,
and
are soothsayers like the Philistines ,
and
they please
themselves
in
the children of strangers
.
Their land is full of silver and gold, with
no
limit
to
their treasures; their land is full of horses, with
no
limit
to
their chariots .
Their land also
is full of silver and gold, neither
is
there
any
end
of
their treasures; their land is also
full of horses, neither
is
there
any
end
of
their chariots :
Their land is full of idols; they bow
down
to
the work of their hands, to
what
their fingers have made .
Their land also
is full of idols; they worship
the work of their own
hands, that
which
their own
fingers have made :
So
mankind
is
brought
low
, and man is
humbled—
do
not
forgive them !
And
the
mean
man
boweth
down
, and the
great
man humbleth
himself:
therefore
forgive them not.
Go
into the rocks
and hide in the dust from
the
terror
of the LORD and the splendor
of His majesty.
Enter
into the rock,
and hide thee
in the dust ,
for
fear
of the LORD ,
and for
the glory
of his majesty.
The proud
look
of man will
be humbled, and the loftiness
of men brought
low;
the LORD alone will
be exalted in that day.
The lofty
looks
of man shall
be humbled, and the haughtiness
of men shall
be
bowed
down,
and
the LORD alone shall
be exalted in that day.
For the Day of the LORD of Hosts will
come
against
all
the
proud and lofty, against
all
that is exalted—
it
will
be humbled—
For the day of the LORD of hosts shall
be
upon
every
one
that
is
proud and lofty, and
upon
every
one
that is lifted
up;
and
he
shall
be brought
low:
against
all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty
and lifted up, against
all the oaks of Bashan,
And
upon
all the cedars of Lebanon, that
are
high
and lifted up, and
upon
all the oaks of Bashan,
against
all the tall
mountains, against
all the high
hills,
And
upon
all the high
mountains, and
upon
all the hills that
are
lifted
up
,
against
every high tower, against
every fortified
wall,
And
upon
every high tower, and
upon
every fenced
wall,
against
every
ship
of Tarshish, and against
every
stately
vessel
.
And
upon
all
the
ships
of Tarshish, and upon
all
pleasant
pictures
.
So
the pride
of man will
be brought
low
, and the loftiness
of men will
be humbled;
the LORD alone will
be exalted in that day ,
And
the loftiness
of man shall
be bowed
down
, and the haughtiness
of men shall
be made
low:
and
the LORD alone shall
be exalted in that day .
and the idols will
vanish
completely
.
And the idols he
shall
utterly
abolish
.
Men
will
flee
to
caves
in
the
rocks
and holes in
the ground
, away
from
the terror
of the LORD and from
the splendor
of His majesty, when He rises
to shake the earth.
And they
shall
go
into
the
holes of
the rocks
, and
into
the caves
of the earth,
for
fear
of
the
LORD ,
and for
the glory
of his majesty, when he ariseth
to shake terribly
the earth.
In that day men
will
cast away
to
the
moles
and
bats
their
idols of silver and gold—
the
idols they made to worship .
In that day a
man
shall
cast his
idols of silver ,
and his
idols of
gold,
which
they made each
one
for
himself
to worship ,
to
the
moles
and
to
the
bats;
They
will
flee
to caverns
in
the rocks and crevices
in
the cliffs,
away
from
the terror
of the LORD and from
the splendor
of His majesty, when He rises
to shake the earth.
To go
into
the clefts
of
the
rocks ,
and into
the tops
of
the ragged
rocks,
for
fear
of the LORD ,
and for
the glory
of his majesty, when he ariseth
to shake terribly
the earth.
Put
no
more
trust
in
man, who
has
only
the
breath in his nostrils .
Of
what
account
is he?
Cease
ye
from
man, whose
breath is
in his nostrils :
for
wherein
is he to
be
accounted
of
?
