The word
that Isaiah the
son of Amoz saw
concerning Judah and Jerusalem .
This
is
the message
that was
revealed
to
Isaiah son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem :
And
it
shall
come
to
pass
in the latter
days ,
that
the mountain of Jehovah's
house shall
be established on
the top
of the mountains ,
and
shall
be exalted
above the hills ;
and all nations shall
flow
unto
it.
In the last
days the mountain of the
house of
the
LORD
will
be established as
the chief
of the mountains ;
it
will
be raised
above the hills ,
and all nations will
stream
to
it.
And many peoples shall
go
and say ,
Come ye
, and
let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah
, to the house of the God of Jacob ;
and
he will teach us of
his ways ,
and
we will
walk in his paths :
for out
of
Zion
shall
go
forth
the law, and the word of Jehovah
from Jerusalem.
And many peoples will
come
and say :
“
Come, let us go up to the mountain of the
LORD
, to the house of the God of Jacob .
He will teach us His ways so
that
we may
walk in His paths .”
For the law will
go
forth
from
Zion
, and the word of the
LORD
from Jerusalem.
And
he will judge between the nations ,
and will
decide
concerning
many peoples ;
and
they shall
beat their swords into plowshares ,
and their spears into pruning -
hooks ;
nation shall
not
lift
up sword against nation, neither
shall
they
learn
war any
more
.
Then
He will judge between the nations and arbitrate
for
many peoples .
They will
beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks .
Nation will
no
longer
take
up the
sword against nation, nor
train
anymore
for
war.
O house of Jacob, come
ye,
and
let us walk in the light of Jehovah
.
Come,
O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the
LORD
.
For thou
hast
forsaken
thy
people the house of Jacob, because they are filled `
with customs'
from the east ,
and
`
are '
soothsayers like the Philistines ,
and
they strike hands with the children of foreigners.
For You
have
abandoned
Your
people ,
the house of Jacob, because they are filled with influences
from the east ;
they
are soothsayers like the Philistines ;
they strike hands with the children of foreigners.
And
their land is full of silver and gold, neither
is
there
any
end
of
their treasures; their land also
is full of horses, neither
is
there
any
end
of
their chariots.
Their land is full of silver and gold, with
no
limit
to
their treasures; their land is full of horses, with
no
limit
to
their chariots.
Their land also
is full of idols; they worship
the work of their own
hands, that
which
their own
fingers have made.
Their land is full of idols; they bow
down
to
the work of their hands, to
what
their fingers have made.
And
the
mean
man
is bowed
down
, and the
great
man is brought
low:
therefore
forgive them not.
So
mankind
is brought
low
, and man is humbled—
do
not
forgive them !
Enter
into the rock,
and hide thee
in the dust ,
from before
the terror of Jehovah,
and from
the glory
of his majesty.
Go
into the rocks
and hide in the dust from the terror of the
LORD
and the splendor
of His majesty.
The lofty
looks
of man shall
be brought
low
, and the haughtiness
of men shall
be
bowed
down,
and
Jehovah
alone shall
be exalted in that day.
The proud
look
of man will
be humbled
, and the loftiness
of men brought
low;
the
LORD
alone will
be exalted in that day.
For there
shall
be
a
day of Jehovah
of hosts upon
all that
is
proud and haughty
, and
upon
all that is lifted
up;
and
it shall
be brought
low;
For the
Day of the
LORD
of Hosts will
come
against
all the
proud and lofty
, against
all that is exalted—
it will
be humbled—
and
upon
all the cedars of Lebanon, that
are
high
and lifted up, and
upon
all the oaks of Bashan,
against
all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty
and lifted up, against
all the oaks of Bashan,
and
upon
all the high
mountains, and
upon
all the hills that
are
lifted
up
,
against
all the tall
mountains, against
all the high
hills,
and
upon
every lofty
tower, and
upon
every fortified wall,
against
every high
tower, against
every fortified wall,
and
upon
all
the
ships
of Tarshish, and upon
all
pleasant
imagery
.
against
every
ship
of Tarshish, and against
every
stately
vessel
.
And
the loftiness
of man shall
be bowed
down
, and the haughtiness
of men shall
be brought
low
; and
Jehovah
alone shall
be exalted in that day .
So
the pride
of man will
be brought
low
, and the loftiness
of men will
be humbled
; the
LORD
alone will
be exalted in that day ,
And the idols shall
utterly
pass
away
.
and the idols will
vanish
completely
.
And
men shall
go
into
the
caves of
the rocks ,
and into
the
holes of
the earth
, from before
the terror of Jehovah,
and from the glory
of his majesty, when he ariseth
to shake mightily
the earth.
Men will
flee
to
caves in
the rocks and holes in
the ground
, away
from the terror of the
LORD
and from the splendor
of His majesty, when He rises
to shake the earth.
In that day men shall
cast away their idols of silver ,
and their
idols
of
gold ,
which
have
been
made for
them
to worship ,
to
the
moles
and
to
the
bats;
In that day men will
cast away to
the
moles
and
bats
their idols of silver and gold —
the
idols
they
made to worship .
to go
into
the
caverns of
the rocks ,
and into
the
clefts
of
the ragged
rocks
, from before
the terror of Jehovah,
and from the glory
of his majesty, when he ariseth
to shake mightily
the earth.
They
will
flee
to caverns in
the rocks and crevices
in
the cliffs
, away
from the terror of the
LORD
and from the splendor
of His majesty, when He rises
to shake the earth.
Cease
ye
from
man, whose
breath is
in his nostrils ;
for
wherein
is he to
be
accounted
of
?
Put
no
more
trust
in
man, who
has
only
the
breath in his nostrils .
Of
what
account
is he?
