King James Version
Therefore
, holy brothers
, partakers of a
heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession
, Jesus;
Wherefore
, holy brethren
, partakers of the
heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession
, Christ
Jesus;
who was faithful to him who
appointed him, as also was
Moses in all his house.
Who was faithful to him that
appointed him, as also Moses was
faithful
in all his house.
For he
has
been
counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who built
the house has
more honor
than the house.
For this
man
was
counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath
builded
the house hath
more honour
than the house.
For every house is built
by someone
; but he who
built all things is God.
For every house is builded
by some
man
; but he that
built all things is God.
Moses indeed
was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward
to be spoken ,
And
Moses verily
was faithful in all his house ,
as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
but Christ is
faithful
as a Son over his house; whose house we
are, if we hold fast our
confidence and the glorying
of our
hope firm to
the end.
But Christ as a son over his own
house; whose house are we
, if we hold fast the
confidence and the rejoicing
of the
hope firm unto
the end.
Therefore,
even
as the Holy Spirit
says
, "Today
if you
will hear his voice,
Wherefore
(
as the Holy Ghost
saith
, To
day
if ye
will hear his voice,
Don't
harden your hearts, as in the provocation, Like
as
in the day of the
trial
in the wilderness ,
Harden not
your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation
in the wilderness :
Where
your fathers tested
me by
proving
me, And saw my works for
forty years.
When
your fathers tempted
me ,
proved
me, and saw my works forty years.
Therefore
I was displeased
with that generation, And said, '
They always
err in their heart ,
But
they didn't
know
my ways ;'
Wherefore
I was grieved
with that generation, and said, They do
alway
err in their heart ;
and
they have
not
known
my ways .
As
I swore
in my wrath, '
They will
not enter into my rest. '"
So
I sware
in my wrath, They shall
not enter into my rest. )
Beware
, brothers
, lest perhaps
there be in any one
of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling
away
from the living God ;
Take
heed
, brethren
, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing
from the living God .
but exhort one another day
by
day
, so
long
as
it is called "today
; "
lest any one
of you be hardened by
the deceitfulness of sin.
But exhort one another daily
, while
it is called To
day
; lest any of you be hardened through
the deceitfulness of sin.
For we have
become
partakers of Christ, if we hold fast
the beginning of our confidence firm
to
the end :
For we are
made
partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast
unto
the end ;
while it is said, "Today
if you
will hear his voice, Don't
harden your hearts, as in the rebellion
. "
While it is said, To
day
if ye
will hear his voice, harden not
your hearts, as in the provocation
.
For who
, when they heard, rebelled?
No,
didn't
all those
who
came out of Egypt by Moses ?
For some
, when they had
heard, did
provoke:
howbeit
not
all that
came out of Egypt by Moses .
With whom was he displeased
forty years? Wasn't
it with those
who
sinned, whose bodies
fell in the wilderness?
But
with whom was he grieved
forty years? was
it not
with them
that
had
sinned, whose carcases
fell in the wilderness?
To whom did
he swear
that they wouldn't
enter into his rest, but to those
who
were
disobedient
?
And
to whom sware
he that they should
not
enter into his rest, but to them
that
believed
not
?
We see that they were
not able
to
enter in because of unbelief.
So
we see that they could
not enter in because of unbelief.
