YLT
Young's Literal Translation
On
many past
occasions
and in
many different
ways, God spoke
to our
fathers through
the prophets .
In
many parts,
and many ways, God of
old
having
spoken
to the
fathers in
the prophets ,
But
in these last days He
has
spoken
to us by
His
Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and
through whom He made
the universe.
in these last days did
speak
to us in
a
Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also
He did
make
the ages;
The
Son
is
the radiance
of God’s
glory and the exact
representation
of His nature
, upholding
all things by His powerful
word.
After
He
had
provided
purification
for
sins, He
sat down at the right hand of the Majesty
on
high.
who
being
the brightness
of the
glory ,
and the impress
of His subsistence
, bearing
up
also
the
all things by the
saying
of
his might
--
through
himself
having
made
a
cleansing
of
our
sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness
in
the
highest,
So He
became
as
far
superior
to
the angels
as the
name
He has
inherited
is
excellent beyond
theirs
.
having
become
so much
better
than
the messengers,
as he did
inherit
a
more
excellent name
than
they
.
For to which of the angels
did
God
ever say:
“You
are
My Son ;
today
I have become
Your
Father”
? Or
again :
“
I will be His
Father, and He will
be My
Son ”
?
For to which of the messengers
said
He
ever ,
`
My Son thou
art
--
I to-day
have begotten
thee
? '
and
again ,
`
I will be to
him
for
a
father, and he shall
be to
Me
for
a
son? '
And again,
when God
brings
His
firstborn
into
the world, He says:
“
Let all
God’s
angels
worship
Him .”
and when again
He
may
bring
in
the first-born
to
the
world, He saith,
`And
let them
bow
before
him --
all
messengers
of
God;'
Now
about
the angels
He
says:
“
He makes
His angels
winds
, His servants
flames
of fire .”
and
unto
the messengers,
indeed,
He saith,
`Who
is
making
His messengers
spirits
, and
His ministers
a
flame
of fire ;'
But
about
the Son He
says
: “Your
throne, O God, endures
forever
and
ever,
and
justice
is the scepter of Your
kingdom.
and
unto
the Son: `Thy
throne, O God, `
is '
to
the age
of
the
age;
a
scepter of righteousness
`is'
the
scepter
of
thy
reign;
You
have
loved
righteousness and hated
wickedness
; therefore
God, Your
God ,
has
anointed
You
above
Your
companions
with the
oil of joy.”
thou
didst
love
righteousness ,
and didst
hate
lawlessness
; because
of
this
did
He
anoint
thee
--
God, thy
God --
with oil of gladness
above
thy
partners;'
And :
“In
the beginning, O
Lord, You
laid
the foundations
of
the
earth, and the
heavens
are
the
work of Your
hands .
and ,
`Thou,
at
the beginning, Lord, the earth didst
found
, and a
work of thy
hands are
the
heavens;
They
will
perish, but
You
remain ;
they
will
all wear
out
like
a garment .
these
shall
perish, and
Thou
dost
remain ,
and
all ,
as
a garment ,
shall
become
old,
You
will
roll them up
like
a
robe;
like
a
garment
they will
be changed ;
but
You
remain
the same, and Your
years will
never
end
. ”
and
as
a
mantle
Thou
shall
roll them together,
and
they shall
be changed ,
and
Thou
art
the same, and Thy
years shall
not
fail
. '
Yet
to
which of the angels
did
God
ever say:
“
Sit at My right hand until
I make Your
enemies a
footstool for
Your
feet”
?
And
unto
which of the messengers
said
He
ever ,
`
Sit at My right hand ,
till
I may
make thine
enemies thy
footstool? '
Are not the
angels
ministering
spirits sent to
serve
those who
will
inherit salvation?
are they
not all
spirits of
service
--
for
ministration
being
sent forth
because
of
those about
to
inherit salvation?
