the
west side
.
Now these are the names of the tribes: From

the way

entrance

their

Asher
will
have

portion
bordering
the territory
of Dan from east to west.
By
the border
of Dan ,
from the
east side
to the
west side,
Asher,

Naphtali
will
have

portion
bordering
the territory
of Asher from east to west.
By
the border
of Asher ,
from the
east side
even
to the
west side,
Naphtali,

.
Manasseh
will
have

portion
bordering
the territory
of Naphtali from east to west.
By
the border
of Naphtali ,

Ephraim
will
have

bordering
the territory
of Manasseh from east to west.
By
the border

be the portion

It
will
be

, and the
length of a
tribal
portion
from east to west .
In
the center
will
be the sanctuary
.
By
the border
of Judah, from the
east side
to the
west side
, shall
be the offering
which
you shall
offer
, twenty-five
thousand
[reeds]
in
breadth
, and in
length as
one
of the
portions,
from the
east side
to the
west side:
and
the sanctuary
shall
be in
the midst
of
it
.
The special
portion
you set
apart
to the
LORD
shall be 25
, 000
cubits
long
and 10,000
cubits
wide
.
The offering
that
you shall
offer
to Yahweh
shall be twenty-five
thousand
[reeds]
in
length
, and ten
thousand
in
breadth
.
This
will
be
the
holy
portion
for the priests .
It
will
be
25
, 000
cubits
long
on
the north side,
10
, 000
cubits
wide
on
the west side,
10
, 000
cubits
wide
on
the east side
, and 25,000
cubits
long
on
the south side.
In the
center
will
be
the sanctuary of the LORD
.
For these,
even
for
the priests, shall
be
the holy
offering:
toward
the
north twenty-five
thousand
[in
length]
, and
toward
the west ten
thousand
in
breadth
, and
toward
the east ten
thousand
in
breadth
, and toward
the south twenty-five
thousand
in length:
and
the sanctuary of Yahweh
shall
be
in
the midst
of
it
.
It will
be for the consecrated
priests ,
the descendants
of Zadok, who kept My charge and
did
not
go astray as the Levites did
when
the
Israelites
went astray.
[
It shall
be ]
for the priests who
are
sanctified
of
the sons
of Zadok, who have
kept my charge ,
who
didn't
go astray when
the
children
of
Israel
went
astray,
as the Levites went astray.
It will
be a
special
portion
for
them set
apart
from the land, a most holy portion
adjacent
to
the territory
of the Levites.
It shall
be to
them an
offering
from the offering
of
the
land, a thing
most holy ,
by
the border
of the Levites.
Bordering
the territory
of the priests, the Levites shall have an
area
25

cubits
long
and 10,000
cubits
wide.
The whole
length will
be 25,000
cubits
, and the width
10,000
cubits
.
Answerable
to
the border
of the priests, the Levites shall have twenty-five
thousand
in
length
, and ten
thousand

breadth:
all

thousand
.
They must
not
sell or
exchange
any
of it, and
they
must
not
transfer
this
best
part
of the land ,
for it is holy to the
LORD
.
They shall
sell none
of it, nor
exchange
it,
nor
shall
the
first
fruits
of the land be
alienated;
for it is holy to Yahweh
.
The remaining
area,
5,000
cubits
wide
and
25

cubits
long
, will
be for common use by
the city, for houses,
and for pastureland.
The city will
be in the center
of it
The five
thousand
that
are
left
in
the
breadth
, in
front
of
the
twenty-five
thousand
, shall
be for common use ,
for
the city, for dwelling
and for suburbs;
and
the city shall
be in the midst
of it .
and
will
have
these measurements
: 4,500
cubits
on
the north side ,

on
the west side.
These shall
be
the
measures
of
it
: the north side four
thousand
and

hundred
, and

.
The pastureland
of
the
city will
extend
250
cubits
to
the north, 250
cubits
to
the south, 250
cubits
to
the east, and 250
cubits
to
the west.
The city shall
have
suburbs:
toward
the north two
hundred
fifty
, and
toward
the south two
hundred
fifty
, and
toward
the east two
hundred
fifty
, and toward
the west two
hundred
fifty
.
The remainder of
the length bordering
the holy portion
and running
adjacent
to
it will
be 10,000
cubits
on
the east
side
and 10,000
cubits
on
the west
side.
Its
produce
will
supply
food
for
the
workers
of the city.
The remainder in
the length ,
answerable
to
the holy offering,
shall
be
ten
thousand
eastward,
and ten
thousand
westward;
and
it shall
be answerable
to
the holy
offering;
and the increase
of it
shall
be
for
food
to
those
who
labor
in
the city.
The
workers
of
the city who
cultivate
it
will
come
from
all the tribes of Israel.
Those
who
labor
in
the city ,
out
of
all the tribes of Israel ,
shall
until
it
.
The entire
portion
will
be a
square,
25,000
cubits
by 25,000
cubits.
You are
to
set
apart
the holy portion
, along
with the city property
.
All
the offering
shall
be twenty-five
thousand
by twenty-five
thousand:
you shall
offer
the holy offering
four-square
, with the possession
of
the
city.
The remaining
area
on both
sides
of the holy portion
and of the property
of the city will
belong
to
the
prince.
He
will
own
the
land
adjacent
to
the
tribal
portions,
extending
eastward
from
the 25,000
cubits
of the holy
district
toward the eastern
border, and westward from
the 25,000
cubits
to
the western
border .
And
in
the center
of
them
will
be the holy portion
and the sanctuary of the temple
.
The residue
shall
be
for
the
prince,
on the
one
side
and
on
the
other
of the holy offering
and of the possession
of the city ;
in
front
of
the twenty-five
thousand
of the offering
toward the east
border, and westward in
front
of
the twenty-five
thousand
toward
the west
border ,
answerable
to
the portions,
it
shall
be for
the prince:
and
the
holy offering
and the sanctuary of the house
shall
be
in
the
midst
of
it
.
So
the Levitical
property
and the city property
will
lie
in the center
of the
area
belonging
to
the
prince—
the area
between the borders
of Judah and Benjamin.
Moreover
from
the possession
of
the
Levites,
and from
the possession
of
the
city ,
being
in the midst
of that
which
is
the prince's,
between the border
of Judah and the
border
of
Benjamin ,
it
shall
be
for
the
prince
.
As for the rest of the tribes: Benjamin
will
have
one
portion
extending
from the east side to the west side.
As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side ,
Benjamin,
one
[portion]
.
Simeon
will
have
one
portion
bordering
the territory
of Benjamin from east to west.
By
the border
of Benjamin ,
from the
east side
to the
west side,
Simeon,
one
[portion]
.
Issachar
will
have

portion
bordering
the territory
of Simeon from east to west.
By
the border
of Simeon ,
from the
east side
to the
west side,
Issachar,

.
Zebulun
will
have

portion
bordering
the territory
of Issachar from east to west.
By
the border
of Issachar ,
from the

And
Gad
will
have

portion
bordering
the territory
of Zebulun from east to west.
By
the border
of Zebulun ,
from the

The southern
border of Gad will
run
from Tamar to the waters of Meribath -
kadesh, then
along
the Brook of Egypt and
out
to the Great Sea.
By
the border of Gad ,
at
the
south
side
southward,
the
border
shall
be
even
from Tamar to the waters of Meribath Kadesh, to
the brook [
of Egypt ],
to the great sea.
This is the land you are
to
allot
as
an
inheritance
to the tribes of Israel, and these will
be
their portions, ”
declares
the Lord GOD
.
This is the land which
you shall
divide
by
lot
to the tribes of Israel for
inheritance
, and these are
their several
portions, says
the Lord Yahweh
.
“
These will
be
the exits of the city: Beginning
on the north side ,
which
will

long,

by
measure;
the gates of the city will
be named
after the tribes of Israel .
On
the
north
side
there
will
be
three gates: the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah, and
the gate of Levi.
and
the gates of the city shall
be after the names
of
the
tribes of Israel ,
three gates northward
: the gate of Reuben, one;
the gate of Judah, one;
the gate of Levi ,
one
.
On
the east side ,
which
will
be
4,500
cubits
long
, there
will
be
three gates: the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin, and
the gate of Dan.
At
the east side four
thousand
and
five
hundred
[reeds]
, and
three gates: even
the gate of Joseph, one;
the gate of Benjamin, one;
the gate of Dan ,

On
the south side ,
which
will
be
4,500
cubits
long
, there
will
be
three gates: the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar, and
the gate of Zebulun.
At
the south side four
thousand
and
five
hundred

by
measure
, and
three gates: the gate of Simeon, one;
the gate of Issachar, one;
the gate of Zebulun ,

And
on
the west side ,
which
will
be
4,500
cubits
long
, there
will
be
three gates: the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher, and
the gate of Naphtali.
At
the west side four
thousand
and

hundred

, with
their
three gates: the gate of Gad, one;
the gate of Asher, one;
the gate of Naphtali ,

The
perimeter
of
the
city
will
be 18,000
cubits,
and from
that
day
on
the name of the city will
be :
THE
LORD
IS THERE. ”

shall
be eighteen
thousand

and the name of the city from
that
day
shall
be ,

is there.
