"
This is the
thing
that
you shall
do
to
them
to make
them
holy,
to minister
to me in
the
priest's
office
: take one
young bull and two rams without blemish,
“Now
this is what
you are
to do
to consecrate
Aaron
and
his
sons
to serve
Me as
priests
: Take a
young bull and two rams without blemish,
unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil :
you
shall
make them of fine wheat flour .
along
with
unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil .
Make them out
of fine wheat flour ,
You
shall
put them into
one
basket, and bring
them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams.
put them in
a
basket, and present
them in the basket, along
with the bull and the two rams.
You
shall
bring
Aaron and his sons to
the door
of
the tent of meeting ,
and shall
wash them with water.
Then
present
Aaron and his sons at
the entrance
to
the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
You
shall
take the garments ,
and put
on
Aaron the coat
, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate ,
and
dress
him with the
skillfully
woven band
of
the
ephod;
Take the garments and clothe
Aaron with
the tunic
, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself
, and the breastplate .
Fasten
the
ephod
on
him with its
woven waistband.
and
you
shall
set
the turban on his head ,
and put
the holy crown
on
the turban.
Put
the turban on his head and attach
the holy diadem
to
the turban.
Then you
shall
take the anointing oil ,
and pour
it on his head ,
and
anoint
him
.
Then take the anointing oil and anoint
him
by
pouring
it on his head.
You
shall
bring
his sons ,
and put
coats
on
them.
Present
his sons as
well
and clothe
them with
tunics
.
You
shall
dress
them
with
belts,
Aaron and his sons ,
and bind
headbands on them :
and
they
shall
have
the priesthood by a perpetual
statute :
and
you shall
consecrate
Aaron and his sons.
Wrap
the
sashes
around
Aaron and his sons and tie
headbands on them .
The priesthood shall
be
theirs
by a permanent
statute .
In
this
way
you are
to
ordain
Aaron and his sons.
"
You shall
bring
the bull before
the tent of meeting :
and Aaron and his sons shall
lay their hands on the
head of
the
bull
.
You are
to
present
the bull at
the front
of
the
Tent of Meeting ,
and Aaron and his sons are
to
lay their hands on its
head.
You shall kill
the bull before Yahweh,
at the door
of
the tent of meeting.
And
you shall slaughter
the bull before the
LORD
at the entrance
to
the Tent of Meeting.
You
shall
take of the blood of the bull ,
and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; and
you
shall
pour out all
the blood at the base of the altar.
Take some
of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; then
pour out the rest
of
the
blood at the base of the altar.
You
shall
take all the fat that covers the innards,
the cover
of the liver, the
two
kidneys,
and the fat that
is
on them, and burn them on the altar.
Take all the fat that covers the entrails
and
the lobe
of the liver, and both
kidneys
with
the fat on them, and burn them on the altar.
But the flesh of the bull ,
and its skin,
and its
dung ,
you
shall
burn
with
fire
outside of
the camp :
it is a sin -
offering.
But burn
the flesh of the bull and its hide
and dung outside the camp ;
it is a sin offering.
"You
shall
also
take the
one ram;
and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the
head of
the
ram
.
Take one of
the
rams,
and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its
head.
You shall
kill
the ram, and
you
shall
take its blood, and sprinkle it around
on the altar.
You are
to
slaughter
the ram, take its blood, and sprinkle it on all
sides
of
the altar.
You
shall
cut the ram into its
pieces, and
wash its
innards,
and its
legs, and put
them with its pieces,
and
with
its
head.
Cut the ram into pieces, wash the
entrails
and legs, and place
them with its head and
other
pieces
.
You
shall
burn the whole
ram on the altar :
it is a burnt offering to Yahweh;
it
is
a sweet
savor
, an offering made by fire to Yahweh
.
Then
burn the entire
ram on the altar ;
it is a burnt offering to the
LORD,
a pleasing
aroma
, an offering made by fire to the
LORD
.
"You
shall
take the other
ram ;
and Aaron and his sons shall
lay their hands on the
head of
the
ram
.
Take the second
ram ,
and Aaron and his sons are
to
lay their hands on its
head.
Then
you
shall
kill
the ram, and
take some of its blood, and put it on the tip
of
the
right ear
of Aaron ,
and on
the
tip
of
the
right
ear
of
his sons, and
on the thumb
of their right hand
, and on the big toe
of their right foot,
and
sprinkle the blood on the altar round
about
.
Slaughter
the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the right earlobes
of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs
of their right hands
, and on the big toes
of their right feet.
Sprinkle the remaining
blood on all
sides
of
the altar.
You
shall
take of the blood that
is
on the altar ,
and of the anointing oil ,
and sprinkle it on Aaron ,
and on
his garments, and
on his sons ,
and on
the
garments of
his
sons
with
him:
and
he shall
be
made
holy,
and his garments, and
his sons ,
and his
sons'
garments with
him
.
And
take some
of the blood on the altar and some
of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, as
well
as
on his sons and their
garments .
Then
he and his garments will
be
consecrated
, as
well
as
his sons and their
garments.
Also
you
shall
take some
of
the ram's
fat, the fat tail, the fat that
covers
the innards
, the cover
of the liver, the
two
kidneys ,
the fat that
is
on them, and the right thigh ( for
it
is a ram of
consecration
),
Take the fat from
the
ram
, the fat tail, the fat covering
the entrails
, the lobe
of the liver, both
kidneys with
the fat on them, and the right thigh ( since
this
is a ram for
ordination
),
and
one loaf of bread, one cake of oiled
bread, and one wafer out
of
the basket of unleavened bread that is before Yahweh
.
along
with
one loaf of bread, one cake of bread made
with
oil
, and one wafer from
the basket of unleavened bread that is before the
LORD
.
You
shall
put all of
this
in Aaron's
hands ,
and in
his sons '
hands,
and shall
wave them for
a wave -
offering before
Yahweh
.
Put all these
in the
hands of
Aaron
and his sons and wave them before
the
LORD
as
a wave offering.
You
shall
take them from their hands ,
and burn them on the altar on
the burnt offering ,
for
a sweet
savor
before Yahweh:
it is an offering made by fire to Yahweh
.
Then
take them from their hands and burn them on the altar atop
the burnt offering as
a pleasing
aroma
before the
LORD;
it is an offering made by fire to the
LORD
.
"You
shall
take the breast of Aaron's
ram of consecration,
and wave it for
a wave -
offering before
Yahweh:
and it shall
be your portion.
Take the breast of the
ram of Aaron’s
ordination
and wave it before
the
LORD
as
a wave offering ,
and it will
be your portion.
You
shall
sanctify
the breast of the wave -
offering ,
and the thigh of the heave -
offering ,
which
is
waved,
and
which
is heaved
up ,
of
the ram of consecration,
even
of
that
which
is
for
Aaron,
and
of
that
which
is
for
his
sons:
Consecrate
for
Aaron
and
his
sons
the breast of the wave offering that
is
waved
and the thigh of the heave offering that
is lifted
up from
the ram of ordination.
and
it
shall
be
for
Aaron and his sons as their
portion forever
from the children
of
Israel;
for it is a
heave-offering:
and
it
shall
be
a
heave -
offering from
the children
of
Israel
of
the sacrifices
of
their peace -
offerings ,
even
their
heave-offering
to
Yahweh
.
This
will
belong
to
Aaron and his sons as a
regular
portion from the Israelites,
for it is the
heave offering the Israelites
will
make
to
the LORD
from
their peace offerings.
"
The holy garments of
Aaron shall
be
for
his sons after him, to
be anointed in
them,
and to
be
consecrated
in them.
The holy garments that
belong
to
Aaron will
belong
to
his sons after him, so
they
can
be anointed and ordained
in them.
Seven
days
shall
the son who is
priest in
his
place
put
them
on,
when
he
comes
into
the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place.
The son who succeeds
him
as
priest and
enters
the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place must
wear
them
for
seven
days
.
"
You shall
take the ram of consecration,
and boil its flesh in a holy place.
You are
to
take the ram of ordination
and boil its flesh in a holy place.
Aaron and his sons shall
eat the flesh
of the ram ,
and the bread that is in the basket ,
at
the
door
of
the
tent
of
meeting
.
At
the
entrance
to
the
Tent
of
Meeting,
Aaron and his sons are
to
eat the meat
of the ram and the bread that is in the basket.
They shall
eat those things with
which atonement was made ,
to
consecrate
and sanctify
them:
but a
stranger
shall
not
eat of
it
, because they
are holy
.
They must
eat those things by
which atonement was made for
their
ordination
and consecration.
But no
outsider
may
eat them
, because these
things
are sacred
.
If anything
of the flesh
of the
consecration,
or of
the
bread ,
remains
to
the morning, then
you shall
burn the remainder with
fire:
it shall
not be eaten, because it is holy
.
And
if any
of the meat
of ordination
or any
bread is
left
until
the morning, you are
to
burn up
the remainder .
It must
not be eaten, because it is sacred
.
"Thus
shall
you do
to Aaron ,
and to
his sons ,
according
to
all that I have commanded you .
Seven days shall
you
consecrate
them.
This
is
what
you are
to do
for
Aaron and his sons based
on
all that I have commanded you ,
taking
seven days to
ordain
them.
Every
day
shall
you
offer
the
bull of
sin -
offering for atonement :
and
you
shall
cleanse
the altar ,
when
you
make
atonement for it ;
and you
shall
anoint it ,
to sanctify
it.
Sacrifice
a
bull as
a
sin offering each
day
for atonement .
Purify
the altar by
making
atonement for it ,
and anoint it to consecrate
it.
Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar ,
and sanctify
it :
and
the altar shall
be
most holy; whatever touches the altar shall
be holy.
For
seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate
it .
Then
the altar will
become
most holy; whatever touches the altar will
be holy.
"Now
this is that
which
you shall
offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day
by
day
continually
.
This is what
you are
to
offer regularly
on the altar ,
each
day
: two lambs that
are
a year old.
The
one lamb you
shall
offer
in the morning ;
and the other lamb
you
shall
offer
at evening:
Offer
one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight.
and
with the one
lamb a tenth part
of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the
fourth
part
of
a hin of beaten
oil, and the
fourth
part
of a hin of wine for
a
drink-offering
.
With the first
lamb offer
a tenth of an ephah of fine flour ,
mixed with a quarter
hin of oil from
pressed
olives
, and a
drink
offering
of a quarter
hin of wine.
The other
lamb you
shall
offer
at evening,
and
shall
do
to
it
according
to
the meal-
offering of
the
morning,
and according
to
its
drink -
offering, for
a sweet
savor
, an offering made by fire to Yahweh
.
And
offer
the second
lamb at twilight
with
the same
grain
offering and drink offering as
in
the
morning
, as
a pleasing
aroma
, an offering made by fire to the
LORD
.
It
shall
be
a
continual
burnt offering throughout
your
generations
at the door
of
the tent of meeting before Yahweh
, where I will meet with
you ,
to speak there
to
you.
For
the
generations
to
come,
this
burnt offering shall
be
made
regularly
at the entrance
to
the Tent of Meeting before the
LORD
, where I will meet you to speak with
you.
There
I will meet with the children
of
Israel;
and the
place shall
be sanctified
by my glory.
I will also
meet with the Israelites
there,
and that
place will
be consecrated
by My glory.
I will sanctify
the tent of meeting and the altar :
Aaron also
and his sons I
will
sanctify,
to minister
to
me in
the
priest's
office
.
So
I will consecrate
the Tent of Meeting and the altar ,
and
I
will
consecrate
Aaron and his sons to serve
Me as
priests
.
I will dwell among the children
of
Israel,
and will
be their God.
Then
I will dwell among the Israelites
and be their God.
They shall
know that I am Yahweh
their God, who brought them forth
out of the land of Egypt ,
that I might dwell among them :
I am Yahweh
their God.
And
they will
know that I am the
LORD
their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt so
that I might dwell among them .
I am the
LORD
their God.
