Moreover
thou
shalt
make
the tabernacle with ten curtains ;
of fine
twined
linen, and
blue, and
purple, and scarlet, with
cherubim the
work
of
the
skilful
workman
shalt
thou
make
them.
“You
are
to
construct
the tabernacle itself
with ten curtains of finely
spun
linen, each
with
blue, purple, and scarlet yarn
, and
cherubim skillfully
worked
into
them.
The
length
of
each curtain shall be eight
and
twenty cubits ,
and the
breadth
of
each
curtain
four cubits :
all the
curtains shall
have
one
measure
.
Each curtain shall be twenty -eight
cubits long
and four cubits wide
—
all curtains the
same
size
.
Five curtains shall
be coupled
together one
to
another;
and `
the other '
five curtains
shall
be
coupled
one
to
another
.
Five of
the
curtains are
to
be joined
together ,
and the other five joined
as
well
.
And
thou
shalt
make loops of blue upon
the edge of the one
curtain from
the
selvedge
in the coupling;
and likewise
shalt
thou
make
in
the edge
of
the curtain that
is
outmost
in the second coupling
.
Make loops of blue material
on
the edge of the end
curtain in the first
set,
and do
the same
for
the end
curtain in the second set
.
Fifty loops shalt
thou
make
in
the
one curtain ,
and fifty loops shalt
thou
make
in
the
edge
of
the curtain that
is
in
the second coupling;
the loops shall
be
opposite one to
another.
Make
fifty loops on
one curtain and fifty loops on
the end
curtain of
the second set,
so
that
the loops line
up
opposite one another.
And
thou
shalt
make fifty clasps
of
gold, and couple
the curtains one
to
another
with the clasps :
and
the tabernacle shall
be one
`whole'
.
Make fifty gold clasps
as
well
, and join
the curtains together
with the clasps ,
so
that
the tabernacle will
be a
unit
.
And
thou
shalt
make curtains of goats'
`
hair '
for a
tent over the tabernacle :
eleven curtains shalt
thou
make
them
.
You
are
to
make curtains of goat
hair for the
tent over the tabernacle —
eleven curtains in
all
.
The
length
of
each curtain
shall
be thirty cubits ,
and the
breadth
of
each
curtain
four cubits :
the
eleven
curtains
shall
have
one
measure
.
Each of
the
eleven
curtains
is
to
be the
same
size—
thirty cubits long
and four cubits wide
.
And
thou
shalt
couple
five curtains by
themselves,
and six curtains
by
themselves,
and
shalt
double
over
the sixth curtain in
the forefront
of the tent.
Join
five of
the
curtains into
one
set
and the
other
six into
another.
Then
fold
the sixth curtain over
double
at
the front
of the tent.
And
thou
shalt
make fifty loops on
the edge of the one
curtain that
is
outmost
in the coupling
, and fifty loops upon
the edge of the curtain which
is
`outmost
in '
the second coupling
.
Make fifty loops along
the edge of the end
curtain in the first
set
, and fifty loops along
the edge of the corresponding
curtain in the second set
.
And
thou
shalt
make fifty clasps of
brass,
and put the
clasps
into
the loops ,
and
couple
the tent together ,
that
it
may
be
one
.
Make fifty bronze
clasps and put them
through
the loops to
join
the tent together as
a
unit
.
And
the overhanging
part
that remaineth
of
the
curtains
of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth,
shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
As
for
the overlap
that remains
of the tent curtains
, the half curtain that is
left
over
shall hang down
over the back of the tabernacle.
And the cubit on the
one
side, and the cubit
on
the
other
side,
of
that
which
remaineth
in
the
length
of
the
curtains
of
the
tent,
shall
hang over the sides of the tabernacle on
this
side
and
on
that
side,
to cover it.
And the tent
curtains
will
be
a
cubit longer
on either
side, and the excess
will
hang over the sides of the tabernacle to cover it.
And
thou
shalt
make a covering for the tent of rams'
skins dyed red, and a covering of sealskins
above
.
Also
make a covering for the tent out
of ram
skins dyed red, and over
that
a covering of fine
leather
.
And
thou
shalt
make
the
boards
for
the
tabernacle
of acacia wood ,
standing
up
.
You
are
to
construct
upright
frames
of acacia wood for
the
tabernacle
.
Ten cubits shall
be
the
length
of
a
board,
and a cubit and a half the
breadth
of
each
board
.
Each
frame
is
to
be
ten cubits long
and a cubit and a half wide
.
Two tenons shall
there
be in
each
board,
joined
one
to another:
thus
shalt
thou
make
for all the boards
of the tabernacle.
Two tenons must
be connected
to each
other
for each
frame.
Make
all the frames
of the tabernacle in
this
way
.
And
thou
shalt
make
the
boards
for
the
tabernacle,
twenty boards
for the south side southward.
Construct
twenty frames
for the south side of
the
tabernacle,
And
thou
shalt
make
forty sockets
of
silver under the twenty boards;
two sockets
under
one
board
for its
two
tenons
, and
two
sockets
under another
board
for
its
two
tenons
.
with
forty silver bases
under the twenty frames—
two bases
for each
frame
, one
under each
tenon
.
And
for the second side of the tabernacle, on
the north side, twenty boards,
For the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, make
twenty frames
and their
forty sockets
of
silver ;
two
sockets
under
one
board,
and
two sockets
under another
board
.
and forty silver bases—
two bases
under each
frame
.
And
for the hinder
part
of the tabernacle westward
thou
shalt
make
six
boards.
Make
six
frames
for the rear
of the tabernacle ,
the
west
side,
And two boards
shalt
thou
make
for the corners of the tabernacle in
the
hinder
part.
and two frames
for the two
back
corners of the tabernacle ,
And
they
shall
be
double
beneath,
and
in
like
manner
they
shall
be
entire
unto
the
top thereof
unto
one
ring :
thus
shall
it
be
for
them
both;
they
shall
be
for
the two corners.
coupled
together
from
bottom
to
top and
fitted
into
a
single
ring .
These
will
serve
as
the two corners.
And
there shall
be eight boards,
and their
sockets
of
silver,
sixteen sockets;
two
sockets
under
one
board,
and
two sockets
under another
board
.
So
there are
to
be eight frames
and sixteen silver
bases—
two under each
frame
.
And
thou
shalt
make bars
of acacia wood :
five
for the boards
of
the
one side of the tabernacle,
You
are
also
to
make five
crossbars
of acacia wood for the frames
on
one side of the tabernacle,
and
five bars
for the
boards
of
the other side of
the
tabernacle
, and five bars
for the
boards
of
the side of the tabernacle, for
the hinder
part
westward
.
five for those
on
the other side, and five for those
on
the rear
side of the tabernacle, to
the west
.
And
the middle
bar
in the midst
of the boards
shall pass
through
from end to end
.
The central
crossbar
in the middle
of the frames
shall extend
from one
end to the
other
.
And
thou
shalt
overlay the boards
with gold ,
and make their
rings
of
gold for
places
for
the bars:
and
thou
shalt
overlay the bars
with gold.
Overlay the frames
with gold and make gold rings
to
hold
the crossbars.
Also
overlay the crossbars
with gold.
And
thou
shalt
rear
up the tabernacle according to the fashion
thereof
which
hath
been
showed
thee
in
the mount
.
So
you
are
to
set
up the tabernacle according to the pattern
shown
you
on
the mountain
.
And
thou
shalt
make a veil of blue, and
purple, and scarlet, and fine
twined
linen :
with cherubim the
work
of
the
skilful
workman
shall
it be
made
.
Make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn
, and finely
spun
linen ,
with cherubim skillfully
worked
into
it.
And
thou
shalt
hang it upon
four pillars
of acacia overlaid with gold ;
their
hooks
`shall
be'
of
gold,
upon
four sockets
of
silver.
Hang it with
gold
hooks
on
four posts
of acacia wood,
overlaid with gold and
standing
on
four silver bases
.
And thou
shalt
hang up
the veil under
the clasps ,
and shalt
bring
in
thither
within
the
veil
the ark of the testimony :
and
the veil shall
separate unto
you
between
the holy place and
the most holy.
And hang the veil from
the clasps and place
the ark of the Testimony behind
the veil .
So
the
veil
will
separate the Holy Place from
the Most Holy Place
.
And
thou
shalt
put the mercy -
seat upon
the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
Put the mercy seat on
the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.
And thou
shalt
set
the table without
the veil ,
and
the
candlestick
over
against
the
table
on the side of the tabernacle toward
the
south:
and thou
shalt
put the table on the north
side.
And place
the table outside
the veil on the north
side of the tabernacle ,
and put the lampstand
opposite
the
table ,
on the south
side.
And
thou
shalt
make
a
screen
for the door
of
the Tent, of
blue, and
purple, and scarlet, and fine
twined
linen ,
the
work
of
the
embroiderer
.
For the entrance
to
the tent, you
are
to
make
a
curtain
embroidered
with
blue, purple, and scarlet yarn
, and finely
spun
linen.
And
thou
shalt
make for
the
screen
five pillars
of acacia, and
overlay them with gold :
their
hooks shall
be
of
gold:
and thou
shalt
cast five sockets
of
brass
for them.
Make five posts
of acacia wood
for
the
curtain
, overlay them with gold hooks ,
and cast five bronze
bases
for them.
